" Our stay at the Eden Playa was... "

Our stay at the Eden Playa was extremely enjoyable and relaxing, the staff were very freindly and efficient. The room was great, very tidy and nicely done out. The only drawback was the kithenette, of which would have been a little basic if self catering, as we were staying half board it wasnt much of a problem.

We appeared to be the only English family there, with the majority being German, which made a nice change, polite and courteous people who werent drinking and moaning all day. The only drawback with this was that our 4 year old wasnt able to make freinds that easily.

The swimming pools were clean and very good, a 1-2 minute walk past the pools and you were on the beach. The beach was clean and the sea was shallow for some way out which was ideal for the kids.

The food was very good, especially the breakfasts, of which were mainly of a continental style, with a very good selection of cold and warm foods, we all filled up so much that we didnt feel hungry again til dinner. For dinner there was also a great choice, with a well stocked salad bar and an excellent choice of cooked dishes along with a couple of chefs cooking the days specials. There was also a seperate kids section, with plenty of chips and fish fingers etc.

All in all we had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone. especially to familys with younger children, the hotel had a very freindly and family feel, with there being more children than adults.

" Eden Playa was a fantastic hotel! All... "

Eden Playa was a fantastic hotel! All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful with a brilliant grasp of English.

The apartments were very clean and the maids tidied the rooms every day.

The campus was well kept with cleaners maintaining the grounds every day.

The kitchen in the rooms however were slightly limited but that was not a problem as the food served at the restaurant was cheap, and the surrounding restaurants were of a high standard!!

The beach was of walking distance in about 5 minutes which was a bonus. Alcudia town wasn't in walking distance but it was only a short bus ride away!

The evening entertainment was focussed mainly towards the children ending at around 10.30 which was ideal for us as we had a small child to put to bed, but the opportunity of other hotels' 'nightlife' was available.

I totally recommend these apartments. I don't have a negative point about my holiday at Eden Playa apart from the rainy weather.

Thumbs up would definitely return!

" This resort was very nice and very... "

This resort was very nice and very clean. The big let down for us was the self-catering element. The kitchenette was basic to say the least, no oven, no electric kettle and no toaster! We ended up hiring a toaster from a local company for 12 euros for the week. However, there are plenty of good restaurants along the stretch if you want to eat out.

At this hotel it is mainly Germans and we were the only English there as far as we knew but we did not mind that. The entertainment was mainly geared up for kids with nothing in the way of adult entertainment and was over by 10:30 every night. We ended up going to the next door hotel that had good shows every night.

We decided to go on a couple of trips during our week here and would recommend booking through a company called no-frills. We went on the island tour which is by coach, boat, tram and train and was an excellent day out and you really do see a lot of the island.

The other trip was to Rancho Grande which is a horse ride through the savannah and bush (very dusty) followed by a BBQ (fantastic steaks) and some entertainment.

Overall, we loved our stay at Eden Playa, but the kitchen was the let down.
