Just enjoyed one of the best 7 days...

"Just enjoyed one of the best 7 days holiday my partner and myself have had for a long time!

Beni beach apartments were clean and very pleasant with spectacular views from the huge balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the nightshift receptionist Luis Antonio or Toni as he liked to be called.

It didn’t matter how late you came back to the apartments you were met with a smile and a helping hand if required! Hendrys bar just along from beni beach is a great place to start the day (breakfast) and end it with a late drink and a great karaoke!

As they say enter a stranger and leave a friend!! Jack, Liz, Stewart and Bruno great karaoke hosts! A short walk takes you to the old town and all the shopping you can handle, 6 euros in a taxi and you’re in the new town where’s there's entertainment to suit all tastes.

The Levante beach is very busy whilst Poniente is quiet, ideal if you want some peace and quiet and it is only across the road from the apartments!

This was an ideal holiday in ideal surroundings and we will certainly be going back!

Okay, to start I agree it was nothing...

"Okay, to start I agree it was nothing luxurious! But if that is what you want then you know that you aren't going to get it by paying £1700 (inc. flight) for a family of four for two weeks. In my opinion, it was well worth your money!

Good points:

* Amazing view from all of the floors! I couldn't have been better, the apartments are situated in a perfect position, Poniente beach is just across the road and Poniente in my opinion is the best beach in Benidorm (Levante is always packed and is quite dirty!)

* Rooms are clean and spacious. And the beds are situated so you can see out of the window onto the beach.

* Helpful staff the receptionist is Spanish and is fluent in at least 3 languages (Spanish, English and I heard her speaking German to) Also the barman is very helpful.

* Great pool it isn’t massive but who needs a pool when the beach is across the road?

Bad points:

* Towels and sheets changed twice a week

* No kettle

* Doesn't provide loo paper

Also:

* A few Tips for when you get there. When you come out of the beach entrance (via the lifts) there is a supermarket to the right (next to a bar called Salvador’s) do not go in there!! He sells things for double the price of every-other supermarket!

For example we wanted to buy a normal 500ml bottle of water and it was 35c BUT if you wanted it from the fridge it was 75c. So we went to the supermarket a bit further down the road (to the left) and bought a 5L bottle of water for only 70c!

* Salvador’s Bar is fantastic you must try the English breakfast just once! It is great value for money and staff are friendly!

* Also try his brothers bar Hendry's which is to the left of the apartments!

"We stayed for a week with our daughter and son in law. Greeted by very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice and clean apartments, basic but nice. Towels were changed twice a week. Beautiful views, breath taking.

Nice walks to shops, restaurants and easy to access a bus or a taxi. Would visit again and we are soon.

It is only for use as a place to sleep and there is lots of entertainment outside. Very peaceful. My nearly wed daughter was greeted in her room by a bottle of bubbly.

Hi, me and my family from Belfast...

"Hi, me and my family from Belfast went on the 22nd of July till the 5th of august and thought that this was amazing we didn’t want to come home.

We were at Benidorm last year and enjoyed every minute of it as well as this year

The people were very friendly.

The hotel was clean and there was a games room and all for kids. There was vending machines great for when you needed a cold drink. There wasn’t much entertainment in the bar but we went to other bars in Benidorm that didn’t annoy us.

The beach was fantastic best beach I’ve seen in my life so clean and fresh was great

Our rep was also very helpful and helped us with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it and I don’t no what the rest of the reviews are about Beni beach was amazing.

Will definitely go back in future times. The Burleigh family

Worst apartments I have ever stayed...

"Worst apartments I have ever stayed in. Only reason they get a point at all is for the view. The lady on reception was very ignorant, we didn't see a maid once in the 11 days we stayed there. No kettle, only 1 ring worked on the cooker, even had to buy our own loo roll! Surely they could have a few sun loungers around the pool area!

And if you didn't get back before 1am you were punished by the gate being locked and had an extra 10 minute walk up the side of the apartments before you could get in, even though the security guard was sat behind the reception and only had to push a button for the gate to open.

I have stayed in 3* self catering apartments before and this is nowhere near, it would just about scrape a 1*.it would be more suitable for 18 to 30 holidays! I would definitely not recommend them as suitable for families! This was our first time in Benidorm and we should have stayed the other end in Levante.

There are only a few pokey little bars in the Poniente area and its a good 35 minute walk to the more lively bars, I found benidorm a bit disappointing, lots of beggars, and a lot of the side streets that the bars were on smelled of pee! If you are a group of friends out for a good time then it would suit you, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a family. I can’t see me ever going to Benidorm again, but I can guarantee, if I did, I certainly wouldn’t be staying at the Beni beach!

The Beni Beach apartments are very...

"The Beni Beach apartments are very basic but clean and very spacious. All rooms have a sea view and a huge balcony. There is not a lot on offer there in terms of entertainment so a 20 minute walk into the heart of Benidorm is needed. However, the bar at the apartments is well stocked and cheaper than anywhere else. The pool is small but pretty but can get too busy at times so swimming is not an option with all the ball games taking place.

You cannot use the sun loungers by the pool. These are on a concrete car back! The staff are friendly. There are pool tables and a few old electronic games to keep the children amused. You must pay a 60 Euro deposit on arrival to cover any breakages etc but you get this back when you leave. It costs 15 Euros to hire a safe and you get 5 back. Towels are changed twice a week. They are also very security focused there Most of the businesses on the sea font directly in front of the apartments have closed and the area is very run down However there is a small supermarket and Salvador’s Pub which does a wonderful breakfast.

Turn left at the bottom of the lane outside the apartments to head for the town and many pubs and eating establishments. The town is great. Plenty to see and do but be careful of beggars, gypsies and pick pockets. They can get quite nasty at times, simply walk away from them. Don't get me wrong, you don't see them everyday but they pop up now and again. There is a good police presence there anyway. The beach is fantastic. It costs 4 Euros to hire a lounger and another 4 for a parasol. Best bet to buy a parasol for 8 Euros - it's cheaper and you can buy these everywhere.

The food is fantastic and excellent value for money and the service is second to none. We didn't go to the theme parks or the wildlife parks because we were told that they were a waste of money by families who had been but unless you try them, you can't give an opinion. We came back last week and we are missing it. We had a fantastic time and will be going back.

Benibeach apartments are great, you...

"Benibeach apartments are great, you are right in the middle and the beach is just across the road from the apartment. the apartment was very clean and basic, every thing but a kettle not that we minded as there was an English pub called Hendry’s very near where we went every day for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. There is a British supermarket next to the hotel. There are no sun loungers by the pool but we used towels which were just as good. A really enjoyable holiday would go again."

Staying at Beni Beach Apartments:...

"Staying at Beni Beach Apartments:

Good -

Overlooks the sea and with lovely views all along from one end of Poniente to the other plus a glimpse of Levante too.

Huge balcony with plenty of furniture

Staff very efficient and answered all questions well and patiently. Lovely attitude with the children too.

Peaceful as quite high up - you mustn’t be afraid of heights.

Lovely bars around the area, although it should be said that if you walk to the left as you leave the apartment block by the beach road, pass Hendry's bar there are a couple of lovely little places to eat, one of them run by a couple of women and a fella who are all very Spanish and very nice.

The beach was cleaned and tidied up daily. The walk into town was nice and leisurely and we found many little gems of bars tucked away in the alleys. It was a pleasure to explore.

The friendliness of all the people we met on our wanderings

Poor -

This was our first experience of self catering abroad and naively did not realise that we would have to buy or bring everything like washing up liquid, something to wash dishes with, paper towels, toilet roll etc (the toilet roll provided was extremely poor quality). We know for future reference though! No kettle in the apartment Small cups - no mugs. Sweeping brush was a mess and the mop left more muck after use than before. Patience needed at the lifts at certain times of the day - although the walk down the stairs was not unpleasant as an alternative. The hotel bar was expensive and didn't show any of the World Cup - a missed opportunity I think!

Would I go to Benidorm again - yes but for longer. We didn't do any of the tours and trips, as we just needed a rest which we had plenty of, but would like to in the future. Would I stay at Beni Beach apartments again - without a doubt! It was perfect for what we wanted. Thank you.

Beni Beach Apartments are located on...

"Beni Beach Apartments are located on the sea front with wonderful views across Poniente Beach. The Fiesta had started before the day we arrived and was on all week. It was really busy! Fireworks going off ALL the time, children throwing REALLY loud bangers in the street and numerous parades day and night.

I would definitely stay at the Beni Beach apartments again, but it's about a 20-30 minute walk along to the Levante Beach area where everything is happening! The apartments were one bed roomed with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and very large enclosed private balcony.

We had to pay a deposit of 50 Euros on arrival (about £40). There was a TV in the room, but you had to hire a key from reception to watch it - the key hire would have cost us 52 Euros for the two weeks we were there, but we didn't bother. There are no kettles in the apartment, so we used a saucepan. The cups are small for a good cuppa, so I suggest that you should take your own decent sized mugs!

There is a very good little supermarket just at the bottom of the apartments that sells everything - very nice chap from Brighton owns it.

If you arrive back at the apartments after 1.00 a.m. in the morning, you are locked out and have to walk up a VERY long, steep ramp which runs round the outside of the apartment block to get in - you have to ring the bell and wait for security to let you in - if you have the strength to ring the bell after the long hard climb up the ramp!

The beach was cleaned every day. There wasn't many people venturing into the sea in November though - the weather was fairly mixed.

Nightlife was lively with lots of entertainment in various clubs and bars. The entrance was free, but drinks tended to be a little expensive to cover the cost of the entertainment, which was only to be expected.

Hi, just arrived back from a 1 week...

"Hi, just arrived back from a 1 week stay in Beni Beach Apartments and cannot fault the staff or the complex everybody was so helpful and pleasant the apartments were not the Ritz but they were clean and basic all After all they are only a place to return to at night you don’t go on vacation to sit in an apartment Sad Facts Our bed linen and towels were changed only the once whilst we were there which was a little disappointing considering there were 3 of us sharing and we were using the shower or bath at least twice a day due to the fantastic weather 2 of the days were 34 and 36deg the rest of the time was in the region of 26 to 28 deg we had to sleep at night with all windows open and only a sheet needless to say you awoke in the mornings covered in sweat so surely the company should allow for this in warm weather it may be there winter and cold to them but after all that’s why we brits go there its warm for us they shiver we sweat There is also a couple of little supermarkets down on the beach front which cater for most needs and they are not expensive No walking for miles for the beach out the front door cross the road you are there Another sad fact were the taxis most of the time the taxis are quite reasonable about 4 or 5 euros from the old town to the end of the Rincon De Loix which I think is a fair price we used them quite a lot as our third party was 70 year old lady But due to the fact that there taxi meters work on a different basis from ours if they stop at traffic lights the meter keeps clocking the fair up and the slower they go the longer it takes hence the higher fair it does not click up by the miles We did come across a couple of unsavoury ones who chose all the streets with traffic lights and we knew there was no reason for it as there was a quicker way to where we were going the best we got was one little Spanish guy who took us straight along the Rincon de loix up one street into the old town and along poiniente to our apartment 3.50 euros So my advice is choose where you want to go and ask first how much then they can’t **** about Or u can always walk it my wife and I did it a couple of times on our own and we are both 60 The only other drawback we found was a lack of entertainment if you wanted the nightspots like step toes or Morgan’s or talk of the coast u had to go to Levante end but if you are looking for a quiet evening there are plenty little pubs around such as henrys bar also the start of the old town will get you to the TV renowned rich ***** There is also the day trips by boat to peacock island and Calpe A great pity the tourist board cant try to persuade some of the big clubs in the levante end to expand out to the old town perhaps there is a justified reason they don’t Anyway would we return of course we would have been doing so for the last 10 years and will continue to do so for as long as we can and I would certainly stay in Beni Beach . Out of the whole holiday is the sad fact I will not be travelling again with direct holidays there service is extremely poor but that is another story which I intend to take up with the company And I wont be flying monarch as our pilots name was Simon bounce I think, doing it once on the way out fine but to do it again on the way back forget it. Anyway everybody have a happy holiday Benidorm is the place to be."

"My family and me had a wonderful two weeks stay here. The room and view was fantastic from the biggest balcony we have ever had on a holiday. The rooms were well maintained to a very high standard. The staff were very welcoming especially the bar staff Paul and daisy. This is why we have already booked for next year we would recommend it to anybody the only draw back was the undersized pool and no sunloungers round the pool area but who needs a pool when the beech was just across the road."
