Cretan Park Hotel Reviews
" My wife & I have just got back... "

My wife & I have just got back from 2 weeks at the Cretan Park and I can honestly say the hotel is faultless and amongst the best we've stayed in abroad. Bearing in mind 4 star accommodation abroad isn't the same as we get in the UK, you will find you want for nothing. There are 2 pools with ample space to lie back and relax.
The hotels beach is spotless and again very spacious. We paid extra for a garden room which I would recommend as the hotel takes great pride in maintaining its very nice gardens, they even have official garden tours! The rooms are well furnished with air conditioning and mini fridges. The maid service came daily and we could not fault the hotel for cleanliness. For the food lovers out there you will spoilt for choice, they often have a food theme night once a week, we had an Italian night and a Chinese night. The drinks are a little pricey, but then again it is a 4 star hotel.
The entertainment is very good considering they have to cater for many different nationalities, ok its not Broadway or the West End but it helps pass away an evening if you don't fancy the 1.5km walk into Malia which took us 20 minutes. But be warned if you do take a stroll into Malia, although its a straight road there are no footpaths and when you get close to Malia you will be greeted by what we called the Super Mario Quad Bikes. These are youngsters driving around at breakneck speed without a care for road signs, pedestrians etc.
One Thomson excursion you must go on is the horseback safari its the best we've ever been on. Gregory the guy who runs it is wasted over there, he could make a fortune as a comedian over here. Be careful of the Discover The West excursion, it involves a 3+ hour coach journey (and that’s only getting there!).
The only down side to the holiday was the journey home, mainly down to the airport at Heraklion, its very basic and they screen your luggage before you check in. We waited for an hour in a queue outside the airport in the midday sun without moving. Our Rep Victoria said its never usually this bad, but I'm sure it is as they only have 2 screening units for about 5 or 6 flights leaving around the same time.
All in all it was an enjoyable holiday.

" This hotel is the nicest place I have... "

This hotel is the nicest place I have ever been to. Its very clean and quiet, the animation team are fantastic they make the days around the pool more lively otherwise it would just be the sound of the crickets. The staff day and night can not do enough to help you.
The entertainment at night is very good. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone even though the prices may be a little steep its all worth it.
Me and my boyfriend went out most nights into Malia and its a step down from Ibiza. (Not for people wanting a relaxed holiday) Malia town is full of bars and at night its loud and full of young people which me and my boyfriend enjoyed had great nights out and had a really good laugh! Overall I think this is the best place to visit. Out of this world.

This hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice but the prices of the drinks in the hotel were a bit steep.

The entertainment was mostly miming which was a bit disappointing. The food was a bit repetitive and there wasn’t any variety for the vegetarian. I would not stay there again but the pools and beach were very nice the staff were very helpful and considerate.

All right for anyone wanting a quiet holiday. Entertainment needs improving. <br>

The hotel is in one word fantastic! We had a really nice holiday in there. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Food is also delicious and service is good. It's not in the centre but the area is really nice and quit with some nice places to go out in the day and night.
We spent most of are nights at the second bar around the corner (Snackbar Kipouli).
A very nice bar, for the children the have play stations, pool table and children area, and for us satellite TV sky digital, daily newspapers and so on. Prices are cheaper then in the hotel.
The swimming pools in the hotel are also very clean and the entertainment does a good job.
This was my most relaxing holiday I've ever had with my family.
I you doubt about this hotel don't and just book.
Happy holidays!!

The food was very tasty and various. Pools are great and clean but we preferred the beach.
The nightlife was apart from the entertainment (which is nice for children) and not so for adults. We spent most of our nights in the second bar, Kipouli around the corner on the left hand side.
Nice and clean place as well and a fantastic atmosphere and cheaper.
We are going back this year again so see you soon.
