My husband and I have just returned from a one week holiday at the Oceania Club Hotel. We went the same time last year and we were not disappointed this year! We requested the same room as we had in 2005, and our request was granted. The double rooms are spacious, very clean, and the block we were in was close to all amenities. The food is out of this world, with so much choice and selection at each meal. The Greek Taverna (one booking per week) was also very good. The food is very fresh, nicely presented and takes ages to decide what to eat. Though you can go up and replenish your plate as often as you like (which we often did!)
The staff, particularly in the Reception area, reception bar and restaurant are extremely courteous, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much bother for them.
The Infinity Pool is out of this world, with great views over the sea. There are nice sun loungers, fresh clean towels every day for use by the pool or on the beach.
The beach is nice. Though when you walk into the sea, your feet sink due to the shingles/sand. The sea also is quite stony on entrance which is a bit off putting.
The town of Nea Moudania is about 15/20 minutes walk away. It was nice to stroll along the sea front to get to the town. The town has lots of nice shops and some odd shops and some areas do look a bit run down. The people we came across were friendly and the English speaking shop staff were always very helpful.
All in all a first class holiday. so much so, we hope to go back next year. Taking our children and grandchildren. We would recommend this hotel to everyone. So please go.

First time to Halkidiki, very green and lush. The Oceania Club Hotel was superb. We paid for a junior suite, but would have been very happy with one of the standard rooms. The rooms were spotlessly clean as was the hotel. There are several pools, the main one being an infinity pool, which provides a gorgeous setting to just relax if you want all day.
There are activities going on throughout the day, but they are not as intrusive as they can be at other hotels. Waiters provide drinks all day around the poolside which was excellent. All the staff were particularly helpful, polite, quiet and shy which made a pleasant change, as i tend to get fed up if staff are loud and pushy. The food was also very nice, restaurant was spotlessly clean as well, in fact the cleanest one we’ve ever seen.
So hotel, service, staff, food, everything was really good. Id love to go back there, but it is pricey.
Cant fault it-smashing!

Went with a friend with a very open mind. First time going all inclusive so wasn't sure what to expect.
Was pleasantly surprised, food was good and plenty of variety. Hotel rooms and views were lovely and the maid service was second to none. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and I was never without a drink. Entertainment was brilliant most nights although you did have your usual Bingo, music quiz kind of stuff.
Pool gorgeous, although this time of year wasn't that warm so only braved it twice within the week. There was an inside pool which was a nice touch, and the relaxation area was great i.e. sauna, steam room etc.
Would definitely go again but maybe a month later for the better weather. On a negative note there is nothing to offer outside the resort its very bare and very under developed.
To sum up, lovely hotel, nice food, drinks a plenty, staff fantastic and good for friends or family.

Me and my partner and two young children enjoyed a two week stay at this resort, we were in general very impressed by the hotel and the area.
We read on reviews previous to our holiday that the centre of Halkidiki (which was about 10 mins walk away) had nothing to offer but we were very impressed when we visited the local town it was unspoilt, pretty with plenty of bars and shops a lovely harbour and the locals very helpful.
The beach unfortunately was part of the holiday which we were disappointed with, having young children with us we especially wanted a 'golden sandy beach' which it wasn't is was covered in stones and pebbles and we wished we had known this before we had booked.
The Hotel itself was excellent, the food was fantastic with lots of variety and I would recommend anyone who goes there to book for meals in the separate restaurants which offer different cuisines which was a lovely touch to the hotel.
The children’s facilities were good, the kids disco in the early evenings were something we found later in the holiday and wished we'd found sooner. The kids play area was good as was the children’s pool, and the children’s play group/crèche was excellent and very well run. The down side to taking children is the numerous hills on site which is hell with a pram, this should be noted as this certainly tested me and my partners fitness and we are relatively young and healthy!
The facilities were good but unfortunately finding out they existed in some cases were pure luck, a list of all inclusive facilities in the resort was asked for but could not be provided. But the activities none the less were good, table tennis and squash, indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and lots more.
One thing I wish I'd been advised is - Do not use the laundry facility in the hotel! It is a rip-off and I would advise not using it under any occasion.
Ending on a positive note, the hotel staff were excellent and the guest relations in the hotel was fantastic I could not praise them enough and the rooms in the hotel are lovely.

The best staff we have ever met. They could not have been more friendly and helpful.
A brand new hotel so not unexpectedly spotlessly clean but rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. Food very good, plenty of variety. No scramble for a table, even in August, rather we were met at the restaurant entrance and shown to a table and asked what we would like to drink which was then brought to the table. Wonderful! Drinks were original brands, not locally produced, and were brought to your lounger/table/spot by the pool/beach. A really efficient and personalized service.
A few teething problems with the hotel itself but it had only opened a couple of months earlier. The entertainment was better some nights than others, as if they spent most of the budget on a few big productions (Mama Mia, Cats, Starlight express) and then had to pad out the other nights with bingo and pop quiz type stuff. Bar staff quick and friendly.
A few downers. Nea Moudania town is a carbon copy of Harlow!! The quaint harbour is actually a freight shipping dock. There is little or no point in visiting, its a dump. The beach activities were pricey 25 euros for 10 mins on a jet ski.
People we met who had paid for deluxe suites said the extra money spent wasn’t worth it, rooms only slightly bigger. We were looking forward to a few trips, excursions like the "sunset cruise" but all we kept hearing was "Not ready, next year o.k." Not their fault but it wasn’t as advertised.
We had a fantastically relaxing holiday and were well looked after by wonderful people. The weather was perfect every single day. We felt it was an experimental opening year which probably put it in our price range. Prices for next year have already leaped up. I would definitely recommend this hotel........if you can afford it!!!

Before we went, we specifically asked if the Oceania Club was child friendly, and we were told that it was.
We paid for a deluxe junior suite and were given a room that was only accessible by 2 flights of stairs, no lift. So I had to carry my 1 year old up and down the stairs along with her buggy, plus child bag etc, every time we went to and from our room.
We complained, and were given another room 2 days later, which was a standard sized room, so we complained again, and the attitude of some of the staff was "Typical English....Never happy!”
Eventually we got the right room that was at ground level but this was on day 4. Nice start to our holiday.
The hotel didn't really impress us right from the first arrival I might add, as only 1 room was ready, so we ended up sat with several other couples/families, waiting for the hotel to pull their finger out.
We would've complained to our rep, but we only caught a fleeting glimpse of her in 7 days.
We couldn't use the indoor pool, because it wasn’t child friendly.
There was no milk available to buy in the hotel "shop", so we had to plead with dining staff to backhand us some full fat milk for our daughter. I went directly to the hotel manager to ask him if we could be given some milk. To be fair, he was straight on the case and we had milk for the week. (If there had of been some to buy in the shop, this would've been avoidable).
To get to the beach was easy..... However, getting back from the beach with the buggy was like pushing a boulder up a hill in my flip flops! I still get flashbacks of the blisters forming on my poor digits!
Food: Not too bad. Plenty of selection.
Asian restaurant: Lovely food and atmosphere.
Italian restaurant : Lovely food could have more choice though. Lovely wine too.
Greek restaurant: Oh my god. It was so poor. Call me old fashioned, but we were in Greece in Greek restaurant. How could they put out bland, tasteless dishes. And it’s situated right next to the pool, so you're sharing your intimate dinner with a big, greased up German called Fritz!! No offence to Fritz though, he was dead canny.
The pirate cruise: They stopped us getting aboard initially because our rep didn't give us our receipt. So when this was eventually sorted, we were given the last choice seats on the boat. Right in the walkway (with our buggy too!).
The beach we dropped anchor in was described as golden sands. It was made up of small pebbles which hurt underfoot (and I had my blisters from the beach/hill fiasco too). The BBQ? On the boat was not a BBQ. It was basically 3 kofta kebabs with a side salad. That was it. No complimentary beer or cocktail or anything.
I'm harping on, and a lot of you guys who read this might just think I’m a moaning brit. But all I’m trying to say is that if you have infants, this is defs not the hotel for you. It is not child friendly in any way.
Plus sides: the hotel manager is a very approachable man. The bell boy’s n girls are very helpful. The pool bar staff were up for a laugh, and always had a drink in my hand (probably to shut me up I guess, but hey!).
I wouldn't recommend paying the extra for a deluxe suite. The private pool IS relaxing, but the real atmosphere and games are down in the main pool. Plus the deluxe pool bar doesn't have a wide range of spirits in it.
Finally, am I the only one that expects there to be spirit miniatures in the mini bar of an all inclusive hotel??? All you get is 2 cans of beer, 2 bottles of water, some fruit juice and a bottle of wine. And it’s only refilled once a day. When I asked the beer dude to put some vodka in there, so I could have a relaxing nightcap on the balcony, he looked at me as if I’d asked him to put a dead dog in there instead.
Oh well. We won't be returning to the Oceania Club ever, but at least I can take away fond memories of..... Sorry I just can't think of anything.
Sorry guys, I’m being absolutely honest with this review, as some of you will find out.
