Just got back from Aqua Fantasy and...
10 / 10
Aug 2008, Mrs H Duffy

Just got back from Aqua Fantasy and had a great time. The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean. We had a select room (2939) in the world side of the hotel which was great. The food was good, plenty to choose from and we always found something to eat even though my son is quite fussy. Beware the only bad meal we had was at the Plant Yucca next to the water park, not the one in Kusadasi town which we heard good reports about.
The water park was really good as well and we were there for a couple of hours every day.
The beach is lovely, the water shallow for a long way so the kids are safe. Bear in mind people put their towels on the sunbeds early in the morning so its worth getting up early and putting out your towels before going for breakfast.
The staff are attentive and helpful and there's lots of cleaning staff to keep on top of things, they are low paid so they really appreciate a small tip.
The entertainment is a good laugh, if a bit naff, but your on holiday so relax and enjoy yourself.
We never had a problem with AI stopping at 11pm, we just went up to the bar before 11 and stocked up on a few drinks so it was no problem at all.
This is a great family holiday and I would highly recommend it, we're definitely going back next year. If anyone reading this needs more information, don't hesitate to contact me.

Aug 2008, Mrs M Johnston

Just returned from a so called 'all inclusive' 2 week holiday to Aqua Fantasy, well what a load of rubbish. The resort is over 5 miles from Kusadasi town centre, the only way to get there is either by bus which costs 3.50 turkish lyra each way per person or by taxi which costs 25.00 lyra each way, so unfortunately you are stuck in the resort virtually all the time. The actual water park itself is ok, but there are only about 8 different slides and not alot else, after 1 week we were bored there wasn't enough there to keep all the kids happy for 2 weeks.
The main complex itself was very clean, I couldn't fault that at all, the appartments were comfortable but nothing to go mad about. The main thing that got me was the selection of alcoholic drinks, you can choose from lager, red and white wine, gin, brandy, vodka and a few other drinks, if you wanted any thing else you had to pay for it, then at 2300 the 'all inclusive' ended and you had to pay for any drink, even coke, which cost about 4.00 lyra for a small glass. They even expected you to pay for a splash of milk for tea, But even worse than that was the food, absolutely dreadful, 4 out of the 6 people in my party were ill because of the bad food, on several occasions the meat wasn't cooked properly so make sure you always check it's well cooked before starting to eat. The selection of food was very poor aswell, the same virtually every day, I know it's only a holiday resort but I paid over £4,500 for this holiday and I expect half decent food for that money. The shops in the complex are very expensive aswell, a family packet of crisps is about £4.00 and a small packet of biscuits £1.50 but because you are so far away from anything you have no choice but to buy them.
Also the mini bar in the rooms are very expensive and make sure you check everything when you get there, we had 2 rooms and in 1 fridge 5 cans had been opened and filled with water, during the holiday they come round and check what you've used from the mini bar, but on the last day the man came round and went straight to those cans which had been opened and said they had been opened and filled with water without checking, how did he know they were filled with water, 'cos they had put them in there like that, we didn't pay for them 'cos we told him they had been like it since we arrived but we did hear other people at reception being charged for items they hadn't used from the mini bar, so just be warned on that.
I would never go back to Aqua Fantasy and would not recommend it to anyone either.

Just got back from 2 weeks here and...

Aug 2008, Mrs G Bowes

Just got back from 2 weeks here and it was brilliant, we are a family of four (2 kids aged 6) the weather was lovely with an average of 38 degrees in day and 24 at night. The hotel is clean and very big, the staff are friendly and helpful. There was a large range of food to suit all tastes even for us and we are fussy. Always alot of fresh salad and fruit - fresh cut water melon at almost every meal.
There are 8 outdoor pools and 2 indoor on the resort - then theres the waterpark which was great too. Cleaners came and changed our bed sheets every day. We took a couple of excursions one to Ephesus which was interesting and another to Adaland to see the dolphin show - we paid extra to swim with the dolphins, cost about £70 each which is quite alot but worth doing if its somehting you have always wanted to do - you get about 30 mins in the water with them in a group of about 6 or 8 people and get to stroke them and they pull you along. You must have your own swim suit though so wear it under your clothes when you go. The beach partys are fantastic with fire works off the jetti, limbo dancing and dancing around the fire - really special. If you are thinking of going I would say you will have a wonderful time. They also have camels there some evenings which you can pay extra to have a camel ride which was great fun and the kids enjoyed it too. You can easily come here and not spend any money but if you like the extras - bowling, pool, snooker, gifts, bananna boat rides it does add up, but thats like any holiday - you save a fortune being inclusive with your food and drinks though - god knows what we would have spent on food/ drink for four of us in the sun for two weeks

Aug 2008, Miss Hn Nuttall

This was the best holiday i have ever been on! i went to aqua fantasy with my mum , sister and two little brothers age 8 and 13. i am 20 and my sister is 16. there was loadz for everyone to do! the aqua park is fantastic, the pools are massive a very clean , the beach is nice and all the entertainment team work hard to keep everyone happy. My sister and i became very good friends with the manager of the entertainment team and one of the entertainers, they were lovly and really made our holiday! the only negative thing about this hotel is that the all inclusive finishes at 11. however this is not really a problem as i had already read the reveiws. in terms of water you need to take a bottle and fill it up at dinner time then put it in your room so you have a drink at night. and in terms of alchol just order loads of drinks before it gets to 11 our table allways had about 50 drinks on it!! all the waiters and bar staff are really friendly so you shouldnt have any problems! i only got back yesterday and i am already planning to go again! you will love this hotel! a special thankyou to Melih and Armarni miss you both xxxx

Just got back from aqua fantasy. The Holiday was brilliant. Aqua fantasy is huge. The free unlimited drink up until 11 is brilliant although we worked out that if you tip the barman after 11, he will feed you with more drink all night. The food is very nice but after 2 weeks it can become repetitive. Definately booking another holiday for next year.

AQUA FANTASY RESORT HOTEL 5* HOTEL...

Jul 2008, Miss Zee Kale

AQUA FANTASY RESORT HOTEL 5* HOTEL KUSADASI.
Had to be the best hotel i have been to yet. The hotel is HUGE! Apparently holds up to 3000 guests at a time.
When booking this hotel I thought it was quite expensive, but it was well worth it.
We was travelling with First choice, there was no delays and the flight was on time and smooth.
When we arrived at Bodrum airport, our coach was waiting and we had A very friendly host who kept us informed on the way. It took 2 hours from the airport to the hotel. The first impression of the hotel was impressive. The service was helpful.
The Room- We had booked a juniour room. The room was very clean with a balcony of poolside view which we were very pleased with. The bathroom was filled up toiletries. We had a mini fridge in our room which was filled up with drinks and snack that you could buy for a small charge.
Every day we had a cleaner come to our room to change all the towels, sheets and to carry on updating our shampoos, conditioner, shower gel and soap.
Food- the food was YUMMY! For those who are fussy with food there was always chips, burgers, hotdogs, pizza, kebab at the snack bar.
In the main resturant there was differnt food cooked every day from lots of different varieties, deserts and salads. The chefs were very friendly and smiley.
There was also other A la cart resturants which you had to pay for, but we didnt feel the need to go there as the resturant food was good enough.
Entertainment- every night there was entertainment of differnt kinds from Grease to comedy. Also whilst our stay there there was Turkish night, the dress code was red and white.
Aqua fantasy water park- enjoyed it alot here and we had special privalge that we get in there free every day when ever we want.
There were internet acsess, games room, bowling, haribo sweet shop, relaxing room, indoor pool with gym, disco/club.
Plenty more!
overall this hotel is amazing.
Who ever says it isnt good is lying! :D

Arrived back from Aqua Fantasy...
9 / 10
Jul 2008, Mrs N Ford

Arrived back from Aqua Fantasy yesterday after a two week break with my partner and my two kids (ages 5 & 11). Overall this holiday resort is perfect for families with children up to the ages of 14/15. On arrival in Bodrum airport my case was the last to come off the belt and was totally trashed (the back of the suitcase had been ripped away). The airport staff were helpful and claim forms were completed very quickly. The bus journey to the resort was around 2hrs long, not too bad though. On arrival in Aqua Fantasy check in was very quick (ur asked by the rep to complete check in form on the bus on the way to resort). We were allocated our room and had to wait no more than 15 mins for our cases to be brought up to the room. The room was spacious and comfortable, there was a sliding door seperating the childrens sleeping area with ours so we had some privacy. The first evening meal was a bit daunting, having never been all inclusive b4 was'nt sure what to expect. Once u get used to just helping yourself and queueing up it's fine. There was plenty of variety foodwise to choose from and the food was very good and tasty. The pool areas were lovely but u do have to be up early if u want a sunbed! The beach is also very nice, the sea was a bit choppy on days with quite a bit seaweed but on the whole it was lovely. The waterpark is also very good, both my children enjoyed spending time here. Food and drink in the waterpark is not included in the all-inclusive but there is a hotel bar just outside the entrance so we were going to this bar for our drinks. The drinks included in the all-inclusive are adequate but u do have to pay for certain drinks such as malibu or other branded drinks. The local beer was fine though (my partner certainly drank enough of it!). The entertainment provided in the resort was on the whole excellent. There's a kids club for up to age 12, there's games going on around the pool all day and there are evening shows which on the whole were very good (shrek, pirates of the carribean and grease are a must see!). The staff are very friendly (only had one bad experience with a chef who did'nt speak much english so just ignored me when I tried asking him for something). There are some shops in the hotel but if u go into Kusadasi town there are bargains to be had (taxi into town costs £10 (25 lira) each way). On the whole the taxi drivers are very good, only had one bad experience when we went to Ephesus and the taxi driver tried overcharging us and then he kept hassling us to let him take us back to the resort, after some strong words from us he eventually left us alone. On the whole we all really enjoyed this resort and it's facilities, it was a very good holiday and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Amazing Holiday you must go there!...

Jul 2008, Miss M Osborne

Amazing Holiday you must go there! Accomadation was great and the waterpark was brilliant! Entertainment was good fun and the kids club was really good and the room had air conditioning! Food is lovely and the pools are great. Everything was very good and enjoyed by all. We had a great time there and went with First Choice. The flight from London Luton to Bodrum was around 4 hours. If you go I reccomend going from Izmir Airport as it will take less time. If you are boring and do not like having lots of fun and children all around you - Don't Go! But for families it is FANTASTIC!

Jul 2008, Mrs M McAtear

On arriving at Aqua Fantasy (after a 2 hour bus journey from Bodrum Airport) we had a very quick check-in as you are asked on the journey from the airport to complete a card with your details so that this can be handed to reception on your arrival.
We were given two room keys and a "Splash Card" (this is like a Hotel Credit Card which has a value of approx £100 and is used instead of cash within the Hotel Complex and adjoining Aqua Park).
We had booked a Junior Suite and it was quite spacious - as you entered the room you had a bathroom on the right hand side and then as you walk through there is a double bed and dressing table. There is then sliding doors behind which is a pull out double settee bed and also a single settee bed (which is very uncomfortable according to my little one!). There is sliding doors with a fly screen leading out to a small balcony which had a table and chairs and also a clothes airer.
The room was carpeted but this was quite dirty with various different stains, but on our last day we did see someone shampooing carpets so our room may have been cleaned by now!
There is a minibar in the room but you do need to pay for anything that you use. We used the large water bottles and then just refilled them from the water cooler at the bar, but I would recommend you take sports bottles or something as you would be able to fill up with juice for the kids as all inclusive stops at 11pm.
The Hotel is actually really nice. There are always cleaners milling about and the maids were in the rooms every morning (very early!). We found the entertainment quite good especially the performance of Grease, but for the kids it was a very quick half hour of repetitive dancing and songs and wasn't really up to much. This was on a high stage and not too much supervision from the staff so not really good for under 3's.
There are plenty of sun loungers with pads down at the beach and around the various pools but they do fill up pretty quickly.
The food was excellent. Our little one has a peanut allergy and the staff in the restaurants were more than happy to advise us on which foods contained nuts so that she could avoid them. Every evening there was something different and we didn't get as bored as we thought we would! The snack bar is good if you fancy a hotdog or pizza at lunchtime although you need to be quick to make sure the birds don't try to eat it!
There is a haribo sweet shop (pick n mix) and it wasn't too expensive unlike the Hotel shop which charged 4 euro for Pringles!!!
In the Aqua Park you cannot take in food or drink although for most of our stay we were allowed to take in bottled water (plastic container) and then nearer the end were told we were not allowed - we took this up with the Manager at The Aqua Park and were advised that he would look into it alongside the Hotel (although we were never given any feedback about this).
I would recommend this Hotel as the facilities are very good and although All Inclusive stops at 11pm you do get value for money with being able to use the Aqua Park (which is not all inclusive for food/drink) every day of you want to.
******I had to buy suntan cream from the Hotel Shop as ours ran out on the second last day - I bought the same factors we had been using all week and we all got burnt (this happened to a couple of other guests that I spoke to) So make sure you bring plenty of sun cream with you as the stuff they are selling doesn't seem to be as good as what we can buy here and it is also really expensive in the Hotel.
