Aqua Fantasy Resort Hotel

So great we are going back this year!!!
I went on this holiday with my mum and my 6yr old daughter and 3 yr old son, we left my dad and my husband at home to look after the dogs.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the onsite doctor, which unfortunately we needed 5 days in as my son fell over and hit his head, the doctor was brilliant spoke very good English clear and confident, because of the urgency he drove us to the hospital himself & while we were there he kept us informed of everything going on, my son needed a CT scan, luckily he only had severe concussion and a very large bump to his head but he is ok, the Hotels doctor kept coming by to check we were all ok, he was brilliant!
I can't recommend FIRST CHOICE enough, especially during our hospital stay the reps kept in touch by telephoning me = keeping my mum and daughter (who stayed at the hotel while I was at the hospital with my son) in touch as well as coming in to see me! It was a very scary experience but thanks to the on site doctor and FIRST CHOICE reps I was in safe hands!!

Where can I begin?
What an absolute amazing hotel! I went there twice last year and again this year, its not cheap to go, but then again its not expensive for the standard of cleanliness, 5* food and very knowledgeable staff.
Also at this resort is a water park which as a guest you receive free entry into. Its a child’s (and adults!) Haven! There really is no better place to go in turkey, as the hotel is situated outside Kusadasi (12km) you don’t get the hassle from the locals as you generally do in the towns and cities. You have everything you need at the hotel, including a mini mart and plenty of shops, but if you do feel the need to go into town try and visit 'another bar' totally amazing !!! Outside the hotel you can get a dormer bus for about 50p and go into town for shopping, Wednesday is the best as there is a market!
Overall this hotel is suitable foe adults and children alike, and I’m definitely going back again next year, and i'd advise you all to do the same!!!

Myself and my family had a wonderful holiday at the Aqua Fantasy. So good in fact, that we have booked with First Choice to go back again next August, the first time in my life that I have ever returned to the same resort, let alone hotel.
For those of you with kids I think the facilities are second to none, although perhaps older teenagers might find things boring. We went with a ten year old, who we did not see for two weeks after he made lots of friends, and twin boys of two. Everyone loved it.
With regard to the food, having stayed in All Inclusive resorts many times, and in many countries from both in the Med and in various Caribbean destinations, it was better than many, and not as good as some, so I would rate it as above average.
Just some minor gripes - the beach was not pretty nor very nice, but then we don't like beaches anyway. The sea did not look particularly nice to swim in due to the seaweed, but who needs the sea with the amount of pools and the waterpark available.
The Hotel can sometimes be a little bit more tuned to the Dutch, who were by far the biggest group in the hotel. I think they need coaching in the art of queuing, or is it just us brits that do this?
Ice Cream - I don't think it would hurt for this to be available all day for the kids.
That's it for the gripes, overall we were very happy, and had a lovely time.

Definitely the best holiday ever. As soon as I arrived I knew I was going to have the best two weeks of my life.
The facilities are excellent. The activities run by the Animation Team were excellent. It was great to have something to do when I wanted to escape from my family! The food was excellent with Turkish dishes as well as kid-friendly meals. A lot of people I knew had stomach upsets which they blamed on the food. But I escaped that and I think that that’s just from being in a foreign country but it didn’t affect me at all. The entertainment program was excellent, with a different show and after show entertainment like the disco or karaoke party. The staff were the best. They were always smiling and free to talk to you. They were doing more than their job required. They definitely made the holiday. Also, it was great to have mainly foreign people working in the hotel rather than English. I wish them all the best. Sometimes, staying in a hotel like this one, full of English workers, you can lose the sense of being in a foreign country so it was nice that most of the were Turkish. The water park was excellent. I didn’t use it that much myself but I have younger brothers who loved it and were in there everyday. Now I am home I actually miss the place because even though I was only there for two weeks, I was so comfortable there it felt like home. And it is very easy to make friends there in the relaxed friendly atmosphere. the excursion trips organised by First Choice were great. I went on a few. It was good not to have to organise anything. They organised the transport, tickets to wherever you were going and tour guides.
I miss everyone at the hotel and will definitely visit again. I recommend this resort to anyone, it truly is my favourite place in the world!

Aqua fantasy is classed as 5* and it certainly was that. Non stop cleaning, from the chambermaids to the ladies who washed daily the forecourt with small brooms and soapy water.
The food was in our opinion varied and of very good standards, the hotel managed to cater for all tastes, even though it was buffet style there was never a problem if something was running low, it was always topped up. if you want a full English breakfast then u almost can, except for the bacon. Though they do little frankfurters sausages in stead, boiled egg fried egg scrambled and omelettes were always on offer, your choice of fillings on the omelettes, if you are a fussy eater plenty of cereals fresh fruit etc .
Various types of bread, which you toast yourself. Lashings of honey, jams of all kinds even chocolate spread so the kids needn't feel left out. Unlimited food and drinks. The rest of the days meals were just as good. Ok so u get a few repeats if you are there longer than a week, but hey, it is of good quality and even the chefs appear in the restaurant supervising their staff and the foods.
There are a few bars that do snack foods during the day if u do not want to eat a full lunch for instance. Serving burgers chips pizza etc . afternoon Turkish doughnuts scrummy ...little cakes or Turkish pizzas, all free all yummy.
The entertainment was excellent, though mimed, they often take on a well known show and do their own version in dance. All the same was very good. Lots of entertaining for any little ones you may have with various kids clubs going on and the kids disco where they get a chance to perform on stage lol.
lots of games at the bottom pool, various tournaments etc. The beach though muddy in appearance wasn’t that bad, it is raked and cleaned everyday. They are working extremely hard to get rid of the weed that accumulates, I think because the hotel site is based in the corner of the bay it collects there.
You can hire water sport activities from there and we went on a brilliant impromptu speed boat ride great fun heading straight for the rock face then suddenly turning at break neck speed .
You can book many excursions from the hotel reps , but we found it cheaper to scout around in Kusadasi and book our own.
kusadasi its self is really big I was surprised the amount of shops restaurants and bars. The bazaar is something not to be missed in Kusadasi central, there is a Wednesday market at the top of the town for clothes and Fridays for foods. Wow, the size of the fruit was unreal. And the prices make you not want to buy any fruit when you come home, leather goods are cheap we did the trip to the leather factory and I got me a coat .
The hotel was brilliant, staff very friendly and always had a smile on their faces even though they work very hard in that heat. It was 45 degrees when we were there .....can't fault the hotel at all, didn’t go to the water park much bit old now for that but my three teenagers did most days. They loved it.
Oh one thing that I laughed at were the people sneaking around at midnight sometimes, if not early in the morning to put their towels out on the sunbeds. We were right over the big pool with the fountain and it was so funny watching people vying for places. There is a notice saying not supposed to put towels out before 8am, management will remove any towels, but this one thing was not adhered to. I suppose unless someone complains they will let it carry on.
I would certainly go back oh and don't forget to go to Selcuk (there is a market here on Fridays) and Ephesus only a few miles down the road and easily got to by Dolmus or book a trip with your rep.

Our family holiday to Kusadasi was amazing and by far the best holiday i have taken for a long time.
The staff were very friendly and I had some good chats with them!!! The appearance of the hotel and general upkeep was brilliant.
We came to Turkey for the first time in 2005 and will be definitely be returning, we stayed in July/August time and the weather was brilliant!
The food was different but nice, although I think that the drinks could have been 24 hour all inclusive, after paying such an amount for a holiday it was a bit of a let down to find we had to pay for drinks after 11pm.
In the entertainment area there is definitely room for improvement, it was all repeated after each week, e.g., every Wednesday was Turkish night, Thursdays etc etc.
Overall I think that it was an outstanding resort and will definitely return in the near future!!!

Certainly the best Mediterranean vacation I’ve ever had.
The staff was very friendly, and the management was always trying to make things better. Prior to our trip we had concerns about the hygiene issues because the hotel is in Turkey but to be honest the cleanness of the hotel was one of the best I’ve ever been, including many of the 5 stars I’ve been throughout Western Europe and the States.
Especially the daily cleaning of the kitchen and dining facilities were impressive. The only problem to me was the see weeds at the beach, but again the hotel management was working hard to clean the beach from see weeds.
And of course, the best part of the resort is its giant water park adjacent to the hotel. It’s big and has variety of attractions for all age groups including my 3-year-old son and me (I’m 35). I was chatting with one of he managers and learned that the park was designed by an American company and it’s the largest within eastern Mediterranean region.
In conclusion, the hotel was much better than we’ve expected, we were impressed by its cleanness and luxury. I’m looking forward to visit it next summer. By the way don’t forget to visit the nearby ancient city of Ephesus; although it’s not easy to walk around with the kids under shinny Mediterranean sun, it’s worthed.
