" We booked through First Choice to... "
Submitted By: Mrs S ArdernWe flew out in October 2006; we arrived early hours of the morning to be greeted by a receptionist which all I could say couldn't speak a word of English!
After half an hour of towing and frowing (with 4 kids in tow) we finally found our room.
The bags were brought up to us and then to our surprise, a plate of traditional Turkish food was also brought up for us, which was lovely.
The grounds and the hotel were lovely great for kids; there was so much to do. The staff on the other hand were rude and very unhelpful, except for the waiters in the restaurants on the night time, they were great.
The entertainment was really good on the night and the children were never bored, the aqua slides that were available were great. The hotel and grounds were lovely and clean and kept in great order.
The kiddie’s rep for first choice was not helpful what so ever; we had to chase her for information which we never got, so I can’t really tell you what the kiddies club were like.
Food was ok, nothing to write home about, but it was cooked and that was the main thing.
Loads and loads of Dutch people there were again they are so RUDE!!!
Overall the hotel was good, I wouldn't go there again but get rid of the Dutch and employ a few more friendly English speaking staff and it would be a gold mine.
Oh sorry forgot to mention the beach! Keep well away it was horrible. So bad I wouldn't let my 4 year old in, in case he caught something.
My sister in-law braved the brown water only to be left with a red itchy rash for the rest of the holiday and yes it was only on her feet and ankles (where the water has gone up to!!)

Submitted By: Miss Dana RosenthalDuring the day there were tournaments such as rifle shooting, darts and the famous pool game, which they changed everyday. Everybody took part. Especially in the hotel dance at the end. They did this in the morning, after the pool game, and in the afternoon.
The shows at night were fantastic. The dancers were amazing and got everybody really into the show. Once a week, they also had bingo which everybody participated in. Before the shows, there was a mini disco for younger kids and the proper disco afterwards for adults.
The water park made it even better! With free entry whenever we wanted! The rides were amazing and if you went early in the day or later in the day, it was practically empty so you had the whole place to yourself!
This was the best holiday ever!

Submitted By: Miss M DuffyHotel staff very few spoke English and did not appear friendly at all. As for the food it was also awful I ended up being sick for three days this resulted in us not taking advantage of our all inclusive and ended up eating out every night.
Also entertainment was absolute rubbish only thing they had was bingo or mini disco for kids which was awful. Also in centre of town was not much to do either no night life at all and most bars had football on each night so I would definitely not recommended this holiday to anyone.

Submitted By: Mrs J WoodThe staff are superb and friendly especially I may add to the British (because we have manners, unlike the high level of Dutch there). Not that I am complaining there were plenty of British families there all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it.
The shopping centres mean you never have to leave the complex and the entertainment is fantastic, something for everybody from 0 - 100. The bars are never overcrowded nor are the pools during the daytime, no need to fight for sun beds hooray! The hotel and apartments are spotless and the staff work very hard to keep it that way.
The water park was a dream, for anybody that has visited parks in the past, there were no queues (other than maybe 3 minutes) and even on the days when coach parties came Monday and Thursday the place was never crowded.
The food was outstanding, no stomach complaints from my family!
Trips to Ephesus, markets, dolphin parks, scuba diving etc were readily available and a free bus to Planet Yucca in Kusadasi was available any evening, which I may add is unmissable the place is fantastic!
Overall I only really have one little tiny complaint, if you could call it that. Bottled water was not available free of charge however water was available in all bars and the restaurants from coolers, and was safe to drink!
We will definitely be returning the year after next, and it would have been next year but our holiday is already booked. Fabulous you won’t want to go anywhere else.

Submitted By: Mrs D RobinsonThe Aqua fantasy was better than we had expected. The photos of the Aqua Park do not do it justice and any child or adult in our case would love the numerous rides. If you have a young child they will think they have landed in Never never land. If like us you want to go on holiday but want the kids to be happy then this is the one for you (but during the Day). The hotel pool is right next to the entry to the Aqua Park so if you need drinks and don’t want to take them in you can pop next door.
The only reason I have given a rating of 8 is because after a few nights we got sick of doing the same thing. The shows they lay on are probably the poorest we have seen and they only dance to music/films. The Mr/Mrs show was a good laugh though. The kids were bored at night and I have to admit that this let the holiday down for us because this is the time that Adults want to have a drink and enjoy.
If you just want to sit in reception or at the beach bar then you will be ok. The other problem was that we personally don’t like to go for our evening meal before 8.00pm. The problem here was that the ALL Inclusive drinks stopped at 11.00pm and the staff made sure they served you as slow as possible and only allowed each adult to get 4 drinks.
Would I go back?
Yes, if they got the entertainment right in the evening and also if they extend the A/I bar to 12.30pm would be much better.

" I went with a party of six. 23 July-7... "
Submitted By: M B BrileyMy two boys being the younger ones, had a great time, they did not join in with the kids clubs. They made lots of friends and were often off doing there own thing. I was very relaxed about this as it is such a safe resort. The 15 year olds had a good time but there is less for them to do. They can join in all the adult stuff, like late night disco or beach party. If they are shy they may not have as much fun. There is fishing on the beach which we didn't find out about until the last night. Make sure you ask other holiday makers about things they have done. it is such a big complex that you might not discover all activities.
When we booked we asked for rooms next to each other, but had been put at other ends of the complex. I was in Club my friend in World. They told us to go to our rooms and rest, come back after lunch to change rooms. They were very good about this, and I ended up in World Hotel next to my friend. The World Hotel had only been finished two weeks prior to our arrival. You would not have known this. It was very luxurious. The housekeeping is excellent, always had plenty of towels. Even though we left our rooms tidy, every day we came back and the Maid had made it look even better. Don't know how they do it.
All the staff are friendly. They are all very courteous, if you make conversation with them they will then be very chatty. We discovered from a Waiter that they are very careful who they talk to, they like to chat with everyone but some people don't want to talk to them. So They wait to see who is chatty with them. By the fourth day we were talking to most the staff. Which is definitely a bonus if you have children, a few times I could not find my boys, as they were in other pools or playing football, I asked staff and as they knew us most of the time they had seen them playing somewhere.
The food was very nice, a little too salty. Plenty of variety. My son is a coeliac (gluten allergy) he had plenty of food, it didn't cause a problem at all. the two weeks we were there went very slow as we did nothing in the day, just stayed around the pool or walked to the beach in the afternoon. It was 45degrees some days, so between 2pm-4pm we would go to the beach as the breeze helped.
We had night flights both ways. Going out was hard work as with excitement it is hard to sleep. Bodrum airport is tiny compared to Gatwick. We didn't have to wait long for our cases. The coach was waiting for us. The coach had very good air-con. Which was nice, but if you are tired and get cold easily I would take a hoodie or something just for this part of the journey. Coming back was the same although because we didn't want to leave we were sad, and managed to sleep on the coach and the aeroplane. We had a Movie on both flights. Ice age2 going and below zero flying back. Even if you have seen the films it breaks up the time you are flying.
We are going back next year. With less luggage. It is very casual out there, with the Red-white themed Turkish night Black-white night. So just make sure you have something to where in these colours. There is a small bazaar that comes round the two main pools on Wednesday evening Turkish night. We did not leave the resort, only took £300 which we spent on cloths and lilos for the kids. At the end of the holiday we both had money left. If you don’t intend on buying any clothes then you will find it hard to spend your money. Unless you are going into the main towns.
The aqua park is smaller than you think but definitely a bonus the kids went over on there own some days. They have to be with an Adult but as the 15 year olds were classed as adults out there they all went together. We just took our own bottles of water into the park with us. Left our stuff on sun beds and came back for lunch. We started with factor 50 sun cream and were down to factor 12 by the end of the two weeks. None of us got burnt we all had nice tans to come home with.
We knew of a few people that had upset tummy. It Only hit the youngest one in our group. On the last day. Just be careful and take all the usual first aid stuff so you can deal with things yourself.
We have recommended this holiday to all our friends. I will definitely be going back with my boys for quite some time.

Submitted By: SunGoddessWe had a good sized 2 bedroom accommodation (room No 1217) over looking small elephant kids pool and slides also main pool. My room had a King size bed and 2 singles in the other. Plain and simple but fine to just sleep and change in. Both rooms had TV with few English channels (MTV and sky news) good working air-con, hair dryer, phone, mini shampoos and shower gel, mini bar (but don't use it)as a can of cokes over a £1. Safety box to be charge up front for 3 lira's a day.
Good foods very much the same but a very good choice, ice cream served daily from 1-2pm only. Nice fresh pizza- mini syrup donuts by pool bars. We did use the new building to have are evening meals in as it was a bit better, nobody said anything. Nice kept gardens and about 8 pools plus the new building has another indoor pool and slide, not yet finished when we left. The picture in the brochures are a bit out of date I’d say as the plants and bushes are full grown and more buildings about. "I would as some thing" a lot of kids had very bad ear aches and the Doctor wasn't much good and just sent you off to hospital, so if yours do suffer from this take some stuff to clear it up.
The water park is great a few slides you mite have to queue up for as it is also open to the public as well, so go 1st or last part of the day.
You can't get your AI drinks there or take drinks into the Aqua park, but your given splash cards to use at start of holiday (not a great idea as it does add up very quickly) also can be used for lollies and brand named drinks and after 11pm when the AI time ends.
There a few shops in complex but best by far is the photo shop:-)
Day time and evening entertainment programs are good fun, and entertainers were great. kids mini disco, shows are very good, karaoke, bingo, quizzes, beach parties and fireworks, market nights round the pool area, disco's after 11pm-theme night once a week wear they ask you to wear Red & White if possible to join in. Also a Black & white Night -we missed that. By the end of the holiday everyone has nearly always joined in with the club dance (HE HE).
They have really tried hard to clear and make the beach nicer but every morning there’s tons of seaweed about they drag up into heaps. There’s a small pier which is nice to sunbathe on as it's nice and quite.
This hotel is full of mainly Dutch folk so spot the English person? Good though you don't have to get up the crack of dawn to save sun beds which was a first.
You can keep your room on but only till 3 for free or 6pm for an extra £20. Not that fun if your kids are shattered and you’re not picked up till 11.15pm
Great place for families, I'm going to go back which will be the 1st. Just shame that the transfers 2:30hrs. I paid £1,850 for 2 adults and 2 kids with onboard flight meals for 2 weeks. Booked in Jan 06.

Submitted By: Miss C FordhamEvening entertainment was super with a different show each night of the week and a kids disco from 9-9.30. This did get a bit boring after a while though.
There is also a kids buffet from 6.30- 8.45. This allows you to get yourself ready in peace and have a meal on your own whist the children eat between 6.30- 7ish and watch a movie with kid’s club staff. They are then all brought to the amphitheatre for the disco. On occasions my daughter didn't wish to stay, she was brought directly to me by a member of the kid’s team.
As for the hotel - super. Not as big as i first thought but has all the facilities you'll need. (it is actually very large though easily catering for all of the guests) food was super wide variety but more or less every day same variety. Staff were friendly and polite always willing to help.
The beach although not the best was very pleasant. A wide variety of sports available canoe and pedalos free. Life jackets are provided for children and anyone who wishes to have one. The water although not always clear was clean with little current. It is sandy and shallow perfect for little ones.
We went on a few day trips but to be honest you really never need leave the hotel and water park. However one disadvantage was its distance from kusadasi town and selcuk. Taxi is about £10 each way.
I would recommend this holiday to any family/group or couple.

Submitted By: Mrs C LastI went on this holiday with my mum and my 6yr old daughter and 3 yr old son, we left my dad and my husband at home to look after the dogs.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the onsite doctor, which unfortunately we needed 5 days in as my son fell over and hit his head, the doctor was brilliant spoke very good English clear and confident, because of the urgency he drove us to the hospital himself & while we were there he kept us informed of everything going on, my son needed a CT scan, luckily he only had severe concussion and a very large bump to his head but he is ok, the Hotels doctor kept coming by to check we were all ok, he was brilliant!
I can't recommend FIRST CHOICE enough, especially during our hospital stay the reps kept in touch by telephoning me = keeping my mum and daughter (who stayed at the hotel while I was at the hospital with my son) in touch as well as coming in to see me! It was a very scary experience but thanks to the on site doctor and FIRST CHOICE reps I was in safe hands!!

What an absolute amazing hotel! I went there twice last year and again this year, its not cheap to go, but then again its not expensive for the standard of cleanliness, 5* food and very knowledgeable staff.
Also at this resort is a water park which as a guest you receive free entry into. Its a child’s (and adults!) Haven! There really is no better place to go in turkey, as the hotel is situated outside Kusadasi (12km) you don’t get the hassle from the locals as you generally do in the towns and cities. You have everything you need at the hotel, including a mini mart and plenty of shops, but if you do feel the need to go into town try and visit 'another bar' totally amazing !!! Outside the hotel you can get a dormer bus for about 50p and go into town for shopping, Wednesday is the best as there is a market!
Overall this hotel is suitable foe adults and children alike, and I’m definitely going back again next year, and i'd advise you all to do the same!!!

Submitted By: Mr A HillFor those of you with kids I think the facilities are second to none, although perhaps older teenagers might find things boring. We went with a ten year old, who we did not see for two weeks after he made lots of friends, and twin boys of two. Everyone loved it.
With regard to the food, having stayed in All Inclusive resorts many times, and in many countries from both in the Med and in various Caribbean destinations, it was better than many, and not as good as some, so I would rate it as above average.
Just some minor gripes - the beach was not pretty nor very nice, but then we don't like beaches anyway. The sea did not look particularly nice to swim in due to the seaweed, but who needs the sea with the amount of pools and the waterpark available.
The Hotel can sometimes be a little bit more tuned to the Dutch, who were by far the biggest group in the hotel. I think they need coaching in the art of queuing, or is it just us brits that do this?
Ice Cream - I don't think it would hurt for this to be available all day for the kids.
That's it for the gripes, overall we were very happy, and had a lovely time.

Submitted By: Miss P SmithThe facilities are excellent. The activities run by the Animation Team were excellent. It was great to have something to do when I wanted to escape from my family! The food was excellent with Turkish dishes as well as kid-friendly meals. A lot of people I knew had stomach upsets which they blamed on the food. But I escaped that and I think that that’s just from being in a foreign country but it didn’t affect me at all. The entertainment program was excellent, with a different show and after show entertainment like the disco or karaoke party. The staff were the best. They were always smiling and free to talk to you. They were doing more than their job required. They definitely made the holiday. Also, it was great to have mainly foreign people working in the hotel rather than English. I wish them all the best. Sometimes, staying in a hotel like this one, full of English workers, you can lose the sense of being in a foreign country so it was nice that most of the were Turkish. The water park was excellent. I didn’t use it that much myself but I have younger brothers who loved it and were in there everyday. Now I am home I actually miss the place because even though I was only there for two weeks, I was so comfortable there it felt like home. And it is very easy to make friends there in the relaxed friendly atmosphere. the excursion trips organised by First Choice were great. I went on a few. It was good not to have to organise anything. They organised the transport, tickets to wherever you were going and tour guides.
I miss everyone at the hotel and will definitely visit again. I recommend this resort to anyone, it truly is my favourite place in the world!

Food really lovely we had no tummy bugs. Plenty 2 choose from kids were never bored with the entertainment. Shops in the complex were very expensive the market came every Wednesday night which was great no call to leave the hotel.
Very clean always chambermaids never stopped working and very helpful. The reason why we give an 8 is because of the communication they found it very hard to understand us. The reps were not too helpful, they were never about when we needed not that we needed them very but it would be nice to know they were on hand. Would go back again.
