Olympus Hotel

my partner and i, with 2 kids, found the olympus to be a great hotel, ok, the entertainment was way too catered for the more mature clientelle, but hey, no lager louts at silly times! we were probably the youngest couple there with kids, im 36 and my partner 34. food was fine, refilled all the time, and even my two very picky step daughters didnt complain, the included drinks were good, if not of a "top name" but thats house wine, drinks etc all over the industry. i agree with other reviews that the pool bar was never open,... more

Just returned from olympus,had ten days there. i go to benidorm three times a year,the rooms were cleaned everyday,including towels.Meal times are a bit of a circus but so is butlins. The only problem was the resort hoppa,do not use if arriving at night. Are english driver dropped us off at the Carlos hotel saying are hotel was at the back of said hotel.It is 500yds away,hotel reception said it happens all the time. Complained to company next day,said coach cant get there,spanish tourist get dropped outside everyday.BEWARNED more

We stayed at this Hotel for one week thank goodness not longer the Reception only spoke english when changing money for you, bar staff no english we had to point to what we wanted to drink, Resaurant was more like a school dinner hall and I am going back years for that we were the only 2 english people there never ever go there again more

If you have never been to Benidorm, don't scoff. It has something for everyone, but we always go out of season due to work commitments. The hotel is just on the outskirts of the old town, a good 10 minutes thats all. which is a must for day visits and evening strolls and bars. The olympus is part of a Spanish group with 3 hotel in the same area, the staff couldn't do enough for us the whole week and although our Spanish is limited, you can always communicate if you try. shuttle dropped me and my friend off at 2:10 in the morning didnt know where to go was frightend as no one was around ,and the shuttle driver said behind he couldnt speak english very well so couldnt tell me where to go .after walking round for 45 mins we found the hotel asked the receptionist if i could have a drink off water he then told me very rudely NO everything is shut not very nice people at all. the hotel was nice but wouldnt stay thair again and please if you have a night flight get someone to show you where the hotel is before... more

The Hotel on a whole is average , we took my mother for her 65th birthday this is not suttible for any one who can not walk up hills The bus drop's you off on the main road the walk to the hotel is only 2-3 mins away but seems longer (walking up hill with luggage) The staff were helpfull any problems they took care of it. Okay this hotel is lovely and clean inside and out but i wouln't recommend it to anyone under 60. I've never stayed in such a hostile environment and the staff were lovely when they were taking money off you but as soon as there's a problem no one speaks english! The food was clearly made to a strict budget and the enterteinment was insulting to anyone who has a brain. In 2000, myself and nine other 18 year olds ventured on our first holiday abroad. We left our trusty mate, Jamie, to book the hotel and which part of Spain that we were to jet out to. He didn't dissapoint us. Situated in the 'old town' of Benidorm, we managed to find an up to date, clean hotel, that not only was quiet and had it's own roof top pool, but did these great cheese and ham toasties! My husband, I and our 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 7 took a last minute holiday with "My Travel" to Benidorm, 1/2 board and allocated on arrival. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the hotel as it was very modern and clean. We had 2 rooms and they were spotlessly clean. The only down sides were;the roof top pool was covered and as it was very sunny, it would have been nice to have had the roof pulled back for sun bathers.We had to walk to the beach most days or the children would have been lily white as they love swimming.<br... more

for anyone with peace and quiet there main objective, then this is the place for you. Both me and my woman are in our early 20's and the hotel Olympus had all we could have wished for, peace quiet and within walking distance to everything, we were well impressed. Would go back in a flash! more
