Just returned from the Don Gregorio Hotel in Benidorm the hotel is very basic but clean we stayed there for six days the only one thing was the rooms did not have an oven or a grill but there was plenty of cafes near by
The hotel is in a quiet location so you was able to sleep at night
George who works on the reception was very friendly and helpfull
A good holiday would recommend the (Don Gregorio Hotel)

Apartment was very clean but one of the blankets on the twins beds did have a stain on it which suspiciously looked like blood. Also had small bits of paper stapled to the corners of all linen on bed which I think was to indicate what hotel the linen belonged to for laundry purposes. Just felt a bit tacky and uncomfortable to sleep in.
Beds were also VERY noisy and creaked endlessly. My sister and I found it difficult to sleep as we could hear everyone elses beds above us and below creaking. The noise was horrendous.
We arrived outwith the designated times so travelled to the other hotel to pick up our keys and were told we should have looked for the Porter at the hotel. But kindly he came and picked us up and took us back to the hotel. We were asked for 100 euros as a breakables deposit but you can only get this back on your departure date between 9-10am only.
TV are worked on a meter and one euro gives you 100 minutes of television.
We stayed for five days and our towels were not changed. Also, only enough hot water for one short shower, and then you have to wait an hour for the water to heat up again.
Door to apartment was difficult to open and lock.
Apartment perfect if you plan to be out a lot but would feel uncomfortable to stay there again.

When we arrived it was a Sunday and the reception was closed so we had to go to a different hotel to pick the keys up which was a bit inconvenience.
When we got in our apartment on the 8th floor we were pleasantly surprised, as I had read some reviews and were quite worried what they were going to be like.
We had 2 nice balconies and the apartment was basic but clean. It was in a good location slightly up a hill but not too bad. I would definitely stay there again. Security was very good and we felt safe there.

I read the reviews before and I was very worried. I collected my apartments keys next to the Levante club, as I was told to on the e-mail.
Then when me and my 3 friends arrived at the hotel it was very clean.
All the basics were there and all the rooms were clean as well as the towels, beds etc.
The person at the reception was kind as well.

Apartments not as bad as the reviews I read before we departed.
The porter was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the only electrical appliance available was a two ring cooker no oven, grill or micro wave.
But the location was brilliant with plenty of great value cafes very close.
The drop in cafe at the bottom of the street, served an excellent breakfast complete with potato farls at a very reasonable price.

Stayed at Don Gregorio with my husband. I had read the reviews before I went and was really scared to as what we would find.
We had a great week. Felt very secure in the rooms. Very clean. Good friendly porter, (key holder).
Would be a good thing if there were more towel changes.
It is in a great spot, but up a hill which was good exercise.
Rooms are basic but are clean and have every thing you need for the stay.
Over all we had a good time and would go back there.

Very basic, the first apt we were put into was on tenth floor. The bathroom door was warped and you could not close it, the fridge door was broken but did close, the room heater did not work but there was an electric radiator which did, the drawer in the wardrobe was falling off. But we asked to be moved because there was a whopping great hole above the bedroom window and the wind blow the palmet about and it was like sleeping in a wind tunnel.
We then were put on the first floor which was a bit better we took with us the kettle and the radiator and a spare pillow , you would think all apartment would be equipped the same but not the case here. This apt was better but the mini oven did not work and the fridge again had a damaged door. The linen was fresh and clean but the bath towels were old and paper thin.
The cafe/pool bar was never open and the pool was not very inviting. However the location is good the guy on reception did put new light bulbs in and did move us. If someone took a pride in these apartments they could be pretty good.

We made a last minute booking with cosmos through Thomas Cook and we were told that we could upgrade to three star accom for a small charge.
On arrival at the Don Gregorio, after walking 100 yards because the bus couldn’t get down the street, we were pointed in the direction of the reception. we were greeted by the man who asked us for 60 euros for the room dep. As we had booked two rooms for my wife and four children this turned into 120 euros.
Finally we got to our rooms to find they were clean but basic, but after all this was Spain, so we settled in.
As we were self catering we went to the supermarket and bought supplies. My wife turned the very small grill come oven on and the electric blew. we went to see the man at reception who said we could use either the grill or the pan rings but not at the same time. SELF CATERING NOT!!
EVERY NIGHT there were groups of people in and around the pool even though this closed at 7.30 pm. the staff had gone home by this time and from 11pm till 7or8 the following day the drunks would create havoc.
we tried in vain to get the rep on the emergency number.
To top every thing off on our last night a couple who we had met took a video to record some young men urinating in the pool.
We were told this was three star accommodation NO WAY!!!
If you are thinking of going here please think again.

The apartments were very basic. The bed linen and towels smelled as if they hadn’t been washed and the view wasn’t exactly breathtaking either. The pool area was very small and shaded.
The staff at the apartments leave at 7 every evening and everything is locked up, to gain entry you have to use your key to open the gates. We found this very frustrating as the locks are difficult to open.
We hired a safety deposit box, which was a complete waste of time. We had all of our valuables stolen, the safety deposit box had been opened with a key. The staff weren’t exactly helpful when we reported it to them either.
I wouldn’t recommend the apartments, in fact I would warn people to stay away.

These apartments are basic but spotlessly clean and have the added advantage of a sun room and balcony. They are situated in a quieter area of the resort but are close enough to the nightlife and beach to ensure easy access. (Up a hill) The staff are friendly and helpful, but there is no maid service.
Also if you arrive after 8pm you have to collect your keys from another hotel which is about a ten-minute taxi ride away. The Don Gregorio is also very noisy at the moment due to on going building works next door which spoils an otherwise quiet location. The pool area is small with plenty of sun loungers and a bar that serves food at reasonable prices.
Overall these apartments are ideal for families and couples who want a quiet location with easy access to all the local amenities and I will be returning once the building works are completed next door.

When reading the reviews about this appartment was very worried what to expect, but obviously unlike other people i understand the saying what do you expect for your money. Arrived afternoon time, got the keys and was also asked for a deposit which we were told about before hand so had it ready! Rooms were very clean, location is up a slight hill, but wasnt to bad when walkin back. In a nice and quite area very quite of a night. George who was the porter and also worked on reception was very helpfull with anything we needed. Would recomend askin for your deposit the day bofore you leave if you are getting picked up early as george will not be there other wise. Reception hours were between 9-1 4-8 if you arrive out of them times you have to travel up the road a bit to collect your keys. All in all was a lovely place to stay, would definitly reccomend it. Over all would say that the people who have written about there holiday being awful because of the accomidation need to come to terms with the fact that even if the accomidation is awful, the holiday is what you make it! will be returning in 3 wks! xxx
