I stayed in the Terralta apartments in January of this year, they were by far the most modern, spacious and cleanest apartments I have stayed in.

We had a great view of the pool even though it was a bit chilly, we used the indoor pool.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, giving us maps to go to certain places.

The apartments are on a bit of a hill down to the town but it wasn’t a problem, the bus is only 1 Euro into town and the taxis are cheap.

The shop in the hotel was fully stocked for whatever we needed.

Without doubt I would stay at the Terralta again.

Highly recommended!

We have just returned from the Terralta Apartments after spending New Year there.

Had a good New Years Eve in the bar, weather brilliant all week. I must say this being our third holiday this year, this was the worst.

What spoilt it was the view from our room a big brick wall with fencing round top, it felt like being in a prison for a week, a friend we met came for a drink in our room and could not believe it.

Also beware of the dog that barks non stop, every one was complaining. We where also annoyed that the cleaner left our patio door open after cleaning.

I would recomend the man u bar in town for food, the meals in there were the cheapest I have seen and they where lovely, bar staff friendly and do bingo and betting.

I asked for a chicken pie in Terralta bar and got a steak pie with mushrooms on top, which had gone all soggy as it had been warmed up in microwave and you got one little boiled potato with it.

I would go back to Benidorm but would not stay or recomend it to friends or family as most of the staff where miserable and so was entertainment.

This is the first time I have moaned about a holiday I have been on, as we are up for a laugh but you could not have one there.

First time ever stopped at the Teralta apartments, found staff fantastic and very helpful.

Christmas gala and New Year gala well worth a try, starts at lunch time and finishes early next morning.

Rooms very spacious and very clean, a must! Do a blanket trip and get the best fish and chips in Benidorm also the wine vineyards very cheap but effective.

Warning! to all fisherman and women do not go fishing on beaches and off rocks as the local police will remove from the area, as this is what happened to myself and son.

Celebrating Christmas and new year in with the staff is such a laugh and a lot of fun as you get to see them celebrate in the traditional way of life, and they make you very welcome and make you feel like one of there family.

Shopping facilities is very cheap and there is a lot of them too, if you like Chinese you have to visit the old town and go to the bottom near ponnete beach, it is just around the corner from Vincent’s the oldest bar n Benidorm (old town).

My husband and I have just returned from the Terralta apartments, excellent accommodation, very clean and modern rooms, pool area immaculate, staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill however the No.8 bus which runs hourly can get you about Benidorm for 1 euro.

The entertainment is very poor but after a night-out in Benidorm it's nice to return to peace and quiet. Supermarket in hotel was rubbish they should take on board guest’s comments and upgrade the supermarket and entertainment.

It was 23years since the last time we were in Benidorm and it will probably be another 20years before we return but anyone thinking of going I would recommend these apartments.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the terralta, they are spot on, very clean, very polite and an excellent pool our two kids (12 & 8) loved it.

The only thing that stops it getting a 10 is the evening entertainment but it’s only a short walk down the hill to the old town plenty of bars there or a 1e bus ride to the new town.

The cafe/bar on site is o.k. but choice a bit limited but again plenty of places to eat in town try rays chippy tucked away in old town, very nice.

The walk back up the hill is not as bad as we expected would not hesitate to.

stay there again.

My family consists of two adults and two children but due to the all day entertainment it seemed like we were all children. Poolside entertainment all day long then small family shows at night.

If you are lucky enough to see the famous Alvaro you will grow to love him as he never tires at entertaining the children / adults with his karaoke and face painting. This guy can almost call bingo like an Englishman, not, but funny.

The rooms are fantastic. We were surprised on how roomy, clean and well equipped they are. The maid service was excellent. The cleanliness, you will not find cleaner, one of the main factors of this facility is cleanliness. Rooms, pool, gardens, right down to the Barmans Uniforms. The uniform is always well ironed and spotless (this is how much I have attempted to find a fault with the apartments) considering these people work all day.

The hill, no problem unless you have walking disabilities or you have children up to the age of 6ish (to save moaning, take a pushchair). The reception, ever so helpful. They are polite and will ring you a Taxi on request no problem.

The pool is very big and safe and also clean. The food is reasonably priced for bar snack type food and very nice but if you are after a full slap up meal then you will have to go out of the complex which your kids wont want to do.

The bar, this is reasonably priced with a selection of drinks but more so, the staff are always happy to serve you. They are polite and treat your children like kings and queens.

The location. There are two European award winning beaches in Benidorm. The lively Levante side of Benidorm is one of them or the quieter Poniente side which the Terralta is situated. For our family this was a bonus as we do like to go to the lively side but don't want to stay there and listen to the bang, bang, bang every night.

If you come here, you will always come back.

I will be returning in mid September 2006 and unlike most people, I can guarantee I will enjoy my holiday.

This would be ten out of ten but for the location. Spotless apartment, pool, restaurant and general complex.

The reception staff were very helpful, bar staff pleasant and food was good. The rooms were of a good size and kept very clean and the towels were changed on a regular basis. The pool was very child friendly and there was a full time life guard on duty. The kids club was well run and was very professional. The shop on the complex sold basic essentials and kept us going. The evening entertainment was ok but a little predictable. We enjoyed the simple fact that the apartment were only 3 stories high.

It was all down hill to the old town and nearest beach that took 15-20 mins walk with two push chairs and another 15-20 mins to get into Benidorm new town. This was a very difficult walk back, all up hill and most times we took a taxi back at about 5-7 euros cost. We missed having a couple of local bars within easy reach.

The water park was a great day out and we enjoyed a lovely night at the Benidorm Palace. We would be happy to recommend these apartment to family, friends and any one looking to stay in Benidorm.

I stayed here with 3 other couples. Excellent rooms, well maintained, good decoration and new appliances.

Large balcony facing the pool. Excellent facilities for singles couples and especially familes. A large swimming pool and childrens pool with a quiter adults only pool at the rear of the apartments. For the price these apartments are good value and were a pleasure to stay in.

Terralta apartments are the best apartments I have stayed in Benidorm, located in the quiet part of town, they are clean and well maintained, so nice to come back to after a day or evening out, we went in July and the air-con was so nice to have especially with two really young kids, who loved the swimming pool, it has a Jacuzzi area where I relaxed and they safely played around me. There is a lifeguard so I didn’t have to watch them like a maniac, I could just relax.

We got a beautiful view of the Mediterranean sea, through the buildings but still so picturesque. The Terralta are really great for families and older people as the location is so quiet and not busy like the new end of Benidorm but it is so quick and easy to get there by bus or taxi.

There is so much to do in Benidorm, kids loved Terramitica, Mundomar and the aqua park. We booked with Sunshine holidays for the apartments and Monarch airline for the flight, Wish I was back there now!

Just returned from fantastic 10 days spent at terralta apartments with my husband and children (9 and 4).Very friendly and helpful reception staff, always smiling. Apartment very clean, bright and spacious.

Facilities.

Pool 10/10 Clean and tidied every night. It was quite funny though watching the usual suspects each morning reserving their (or what they thought was theirs) sun beds with about 6 towels each!

Shop 5/10. Only use if you need essentials like tea, coffee, milk etc. Not well stocked. We found a supermarket 10 mins down the road we used.

Food. 8/10 breakfast taken on occasion 3 euros for small plate. Not so small good value!

Entertainments kids club for tour operator kids! My 2 unfortunately did not use, as we booked independently, but it did look well organised and well attended.

Night entertainment 5/10 adequate for a small complex. They did their best - bingo, karaoke etc. We tended to go to Levante .Taxi 6-8 euros to Levante end. Bus also leaves from over the road outside apartments at 25 past the hour (no 8). Well used. Busy service.

Location 6/10 going down the hill not too bad, but in 80/90 degree heat going back up was slowish!

Despite that it would not put me off returning to these apartments and would have no hesitation.

A great place to stay for all ages, although be aware the Terralta Apartments are aimed at the family market (kids club etc).so you will be knee deep in toddlers and teenagers.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped (large fridge/freezer, 4 ring ceramic hob, microwave and all necessary utensils). The advertised TV has 3 English channels, Sky News, CNN and Eurosport. There is a mini market on site with a limited range of products, but ok if you need one or two items such as bread, eggs, milk coffee and tea. There is a fully stocked supermarket 10 minutes away down the hill.

The hotel staff are brilliant. Reception girls are always smiling and helpful, bar staff very attentive. There are cleaners on duty all the time, so all rooms and areas are spotless.

The only downside of the Terralta is the location. The apartments are located on a steep bank in a quiet residential area. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk downhill into the old town, but coming back in 80's heat is a killer. My wife ended the holiday with leg muscles Fatima Whitbread would be proud of.

Taxi fares are cheap enough, around 6-9 euros depending where you are traveling from. So if you need a walking stick or wheelchair don't use the Terralta. If you are reasonably fit, you will have a great holiday.

Urge anybody that wants a relaxing time not 2 go here. The complex good, staff were slow but helpful. I went with wife and 2 children age 9 & 13.

Rooms were very pokey, brochure states ideal for families but if you want to be woken at all hours of the morning (1 2 3 4 5 6am)and then by the cleaners at 7am. While we were they we met 2/3 families that felt the same as we did. We found the complex was full of gangs of lads & girls. The complex had a policy of no noise after midnight; but with one guard to insure that rule he was fighting a loosing battle.

Music was blaring from rooms at all hours. We never felt so tired in our lives. Pool was clean and heated; TV never got to grips with. As a great lover of Tenerife my one main comment is the building work. Its every where gone every year for the last 10, but we will leave it at lest 5 years before we go back, broke our hearts to see Tenerife in such a state, but will never go back to Club Oro Blanco, too noisy.

It’s not for families. We are a family in our early 30's love our holidays and nightlife, but also like some sleep.

These apartments could not be faulted in any way, in my opinion. We have been to Benidorm about 6 times and always stay in Poniente side.

The Levante side is horrible with British bars and very tacky but Poniente is more Spanish and the old town is lovely to walk around at night. We took our 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 8. The children’s club was great with lovely staff who obviously love children. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and thankfully non smoking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The walk uphill only a problem for disabled or lazy guests.

The only comment is that the shop could have been open longer and having read other reviews I wasn’t aware that we could have more clean towels but then that’s my fault for not asking. A lovely peaceful, safe holiday.

Just spent a week here. Excellent stay. The apartment was very clean in fact the whole complex was very clean. Very good indoor and outdoor pool and a lovely lawn area. Every night a man came a cleaned the sun beds with soapy water, very clean.

Staff very friendly. Didn't try the entertainment but there appeared to be plenty on. Good bus service (no 8) from outside the hotel every hour to take you straight into the heart of the new town (1 euro).

Only down sides were the mini market, not much choice and no papers, no shops near by. On arrival you have to pay a 30 euro deposit per person for your room, we and no one else checking in knew about this, and you can only pay in cash. One guy was left skint after handing over 120 euros.

Stayed 2 weeks self catering. Apartments absolutely spotless and well maintained. Plenty of really hot water. Decent hairdryer. Space for dripping washing, launderette onsite. Fantastic indoor pool.

As always insufficient drawer and wardrobe space. If there had been four of us it would have been hopeless. Why don't they just put a tall chest of drawers in these places. My husband booked these apartments because he thought it had Sky television, well it hasn't. We had CNN, Sky News and Eurosport. We could have paid extra for movies etc but couldn't get the information we needed and nobody was interested.

Likewise with the microwave/cooker in flat which we did not know how to work and gave up on. The entertainment wasn't for us and unfortunately no bars nearby. Restaurant definitely canteen style. Great burgers and chips but don't bother with the curry.

The twenty minute walk uphill every evening was not a problem for us especially as we overate most evenings in some really good restaurants which cost us a fortune but that was our fault. If you have a wheelchair don't even think about it. A pushchair okay if you are young and tough. The mini market was good but closes at 5pm so if you are arriving late you will have to walk to a supermarket. Nobody informed us that there was a very good library on site and I found out after I had paid 11 euros for a book. The bus goes every hour from outside which is okay when you know the times.

Overall I would say the actual apartments are really good. Chambermaids fantastic. Would use them again except that I was not that keen on Benidorm itself.
