I was very pleased with the accomodation at Terralta. The apartments were very big and extremely clean. Maid came in 3 times in a week and changed the beds in the middle of the week. The staff at the reception and bar were very helpful and courteous. The entertainment was not great but the two in-house entertainers tried their best and all in all was very enjoyable as they tried to include everyone. The kids really enjoyed it and it was also good that they came during the day for a short while also to play some games with the kids as the kids club was not great - it was only on for an hour and half a day in the morning and if you were not booked through Thomas Cook you had to pay 5 euro a session, my son did enjoy it though and was very pleased to receive certificates each day for winning games. The facilities were great and the food served in the bar was good. They have a happy hour each evening too with buy one get one free on drinks. There is a big basement arcarde with pool tables, air hockey and other arcade games and also two pool tables outside so plenty to keep the kids occupied. The swimming pool was fantastic and as it sloped gradually my son was able to gradually over the week overcome his fear of the water. He had such a good time he did not want to come home and has specified that he will only ever return to this hotel again. So guess where I will be holidaying next year??? The only critism is the small supermarket - it is more expensive than the other supermarkets and does not stock any fresh produce ie fruit etc and I found this out on my second day, there is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill and it is larger and stocks more and is less costly. The apartments are a bit out of the town centre about 10/15 min walk it is ok going down but found it hard coming home in the heat so we opted for walking into town and getting a taxi back around 5 to 7 euro. The number 8 bus takes you into town and runs right outside hotel every hour.

Apartments were very clean, very family friendly. Pool was fantastic and kids play area was ideal. Couldn't have found a more family orientated environment to stay at. Was a decent walk to the town but didn't find this a problem. Will definitely return again. Housekeeping attended twice during the week we were there. Handy shop which was open until 7 on a night. The apartments were only 3 floors and each block had a lift so was great for pushchairs. Apartments all had air conditioning.

I went to the Terralta apartments for a week with my friend for us both to get away from stresses at home. The apartment was just what we wanted. Very clean, great pool, fantastic staff. would definately recommend this accommodation. It was quite a walk to main shops and beach but we just got taxi's everywhere.

The only small changes I'd make would be for the supermarket to stock more of a variety and to get fresh towels in room more than just once a week.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Terralta appartments in June 2007. I had visited benidorm before with family but stayed in the centre and the appartments where nothing compared to the terralta. They where so clean and tidy. The room was very spaciousc, lean and well equiped,It was ideal!

Most of the hotels and appartments in Benidorm are of very high heights, The good thing about these apartments is they are only on 3 floors:)! The reception and bar staff are very friendly and willing to help you. There was a small newsagents in the apartments, was fine for your essentials! Also a big games room downstairs which is good for the rainy days :)! The pool and outside area was lovely with a bar and seating area. As it was self catering we never ate tea in the appartments everynight i think we only ate once, But the food was lovely:) we tended to have breakfast and lunch in the appartments and it was very nice!

Although these apartments are on a slight hil, people tend to exaggerate a bit, yes its a hill but it is fine and not dyer. These apartments are not located in the centre of the town and around a 10min walk to the beach. Although there are shops etc around this area. Me n my boyfriend tended to walk into the centre of town a few times, it did take us a good 20 mins but hey your on holiday its nice to take a walk in the sun:) The entertainment in the centre was good although we never went to any clubs we tended to stick to bars which usually had good entertianment! We also went 2 see sticky vicky on the 1st night *Cringe* haha which was my boyfriends idea HAHA!

All in all we are young and didnt mind not being so close to all the nightlife but i would recommend this hotel 2 everyone, It is fanatastic and i would defo return :D

Me and my boyfriend stay in the terralta apartment for a week the apartment are very big and clean the maid comes twice a week to change bins and bed covers there is also a bin room when your bin is full. The pool is beatuiful as it is very clean, fresh water and very big. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and will help you with asked. The only down side about the apartment is it is on a very big hill and i mean a big hill oh my legs hurts but at least you are burning them calories off from the lovely cheap meals and drink. Also there is only 1 english channel sky news which is ok but you have to pay for the other english channels but there is alot to do around the apartments.

Lovely apatment, ideal for families, and groups of friends

Nice staff, very helpful.

We went at quite a quiet time of the year, but there was still lots to do.

Would recommend going to a theme park, cause it was great!

Also would go and see a show for example Sticky Vicky was the funniest thing we had ever seen!!

Overall, Terralta was clean, well-kept and had friendly staff (especially one of the waiters - he was v.accomodating for our needs!!)

Benidorm itself is tacky and in your face i.e Blackpool with sun! but its great fun, and the people youcome accross whether they are locals or holidaymakers like us, are always friendly :)

WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN!

A great holiday from start to finish. Even though it was self-catering it really felt like a holiday.....relaxing and comfortable. The cleanest accomodation I have stayed in. In-house facilities were great-shop,pool,cafe.Staff were welcoming to both us and the children. Evening entertainment was a little "phoenix nights" but kids loved it. Booked again for next year.

A great week in fantastic accomodation. Had 2 house cleaning visits in a weeks stay !

Great staff from reception to bar and cleaning staff. Very clean spacious apartments. Good entertainment, outdoor pool(which was life guarded religiously), indoor heated pool, kids arcade/toys area which the majority is CCTV covered. Noisy Enterainment stops around midnight which is brilliant as everyone has a good time but takes into account others who may be in bed early or have kids.

The location is up a bit of a hill, more a gradual slope. But can be reached for about 6/7 euro by taxi or 1 euro each on a no 8 bus. or the no 12 from centre of town takes you to about 200m away from apartments. But to be honest the walk down in the morning takes about 5 mins into town enough time to wake up really and the walk back about double that but means you can walk your dinner of !

There is a shop open form 9am to 5.30pm which stocks the majority of items you need for self catering but there is a restaurant inside the bar area which does some great food. First time in years i can say that i would go back to the same place twice !

Run with the customers in mind for a change.

My boyfriend and I got a late booking to the Terralta apartments at a decent price. The main thing we liked was the spacious pool area and the overall relaxed atmosphere. There was no need to get up early to put towels on sunbeds or anything! We would often go for a long walk in the morning and not sit round the pool until 2pm but we never had a problem getting sunbeds. We didn't sample the food or entertainment as we would go into Benidorm at night to eat and drink. Admittedly, it is quite a walk to the main bars and restaurants (not so far to the beach), but there is an hourly bus which you catch just outside the apartments. The rooms were spacious and clean, and overall we had an excellent holiday. We would definitely return to these apartments again. I would have rated them a 10 instead of a 9 if their location was just slighty nearer to the centre. We didn't mind the walk most of the time but if you had young children with you the walk is not ideal, especially as it is quite hilly.

Myself and my boyfriend booked a week at the terralta as a last minute, cheap week off idea and was the best thing we ever did! The hotel was spotless and inviting with very friendly staff all times of the day. On entering our apartment we were amazed at the space, it would put a posh city flat to shame! With a large balcony and separate large bedroom and well equipped kitchen we were instantly happy with the accomodation. On exploring the hotel we found an amazing pool, by far the best swimming pool i have ever seen and is definetly 'lagoon style' as described in the brochures. With this there was also a heated indoor pool to the rear of the grounds which was perfect for the time of year. The bar/restaurant area was inviting and clean with very friendly and smiley happy staff all day long! beneath the bar/reception area in the basement was an amazing games room with six pool tables and a variety of electronic games and machines for kids. The mini market inside the hotel was not particularly brilliant but it had the basics, but we found it more fun going round the spanish super markets anyway, and they were obviously cheaper.

Many reviews stated a 'steep incline' up to the hotel, we feel this was an over exageration, yes it is a 'hill' but it is slight and not a hardship! almost a pleasure some days in the sun :-)

The beach was as detailed about 600m from the hotel down the 'hill' and was a pleasant walk and only took maybe ten minutes after we'd negotiated the traffic, which can be mad!

We found a nice selection of bars and shops in both the new and old town, but i believe there would a lot more to choose from in the summer when it becomes a 'brit haven'!

All in all we enjoyed our stay to the point where we didnt want to go home, it was the most relaxing week we could have ever dreamed of and on planning a holiday to Benidorm again we would not choose another hotel as all the others we saw were not a patch on the Terralta!! 100% RECOMMENDED!!!!!

The hotel is very clean and the apartment was spotless and well equipped. The pool area was also clean and pleasant to sit round. The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The same goes for the bar staff they were pleasant and willing to help. The only thing we found to be disappointing was the actual entertainment not much to it uless you like bingo and kareoke. We were worried about walk to the beach and town as some reviews had said the walk was up a steep hill but we found it ok and our ages are 49 and 57. If you dont like walking there is a bus that stops outside and it only costs 1 euro. We preferred this part more so than the new town found it more peaceful and the harbour is beautiful. We ae hoping to go back to the terralta later in the year as we cant fault it. The only thing we cant comment on is the food because we ate out every day. found a nice place to eat by the harbour called the coach and horses .

Cannot say enough about these apartments! Fantastic light and airy with all the equipment you need for self catering. Staff here were very helpful and friendly and great with my daughter. The only downside was the payment of 30 euros per person when you arrive which is not advertised...can be a bit of a shock!!!! Will be returning in 2008 my daughter will not go anywhere else!!

I went to terralta in january as a late deal just me and my boyfriend, we had a fantastic time and couldnt get over how friendly all the staff were and how clean and tidy the apartments were, and how well equipped they were, we made really good friends with alot of people out there, all the people staying at the hotel are really friendly, food in the bar downstairs is of good choice and is really tasty especially the cheese toasties and the kebab sticks my boyfriend loved them!! also while at the bar you get greeted and looked after by the nicest of bar staff, there alll lovely espec Ranjit, we loved him!!

This was the 1st time I had booked a last minute holiday and overall I was extremely happy with the result! Benidorm was not my dream destination, especially not after watching the tv programme but I was pleasently suprised. Benidorm is split into 3 areas- the central high rise Benidorm off tv (pretty naf although the beach front there is nice!), the new build end ( alot of construction work here), and the lovely old town which is where these appartments are. They are within easy walking distance to the old town shops and the beach and there is a bus stop outside if you do want to venture into the cenre which cost only 1euro. Taxis were also available at reception for around 5 euros.

The appartments themselves are very clean and the rooms are spacious and contain all the expected amenities and more for a good self catering accomodation. The reception and bar staff are really nice and friendly and the entertainment was ok. The food selection was basic but nice and if your looking for restaurants then the old town has plenty to offer including a fantasitic chinese which was excellent value for money and the food was delicious!!!

As we went during the winter the outdoor pool was too cold to go in, however the indoor pool and jacuzzi are nice and luckilly we got nice enough weather to sit out and sunbath around the pool area. The outdoor bar was closed but looks like it would be good during the summer season.

The only bad thing about the holiday was the 30 EURO per person deposit that they take when you check in. They do not take credit cards and as we did not know before travelling, this was a big chunk of our spending money gone. It was returned when we checked out, but it was useless as this was at 7am and therefore we lost money on the exchange rate having to change it back.

Overall though I was pleasently suprised with how nice the place was and as long as you dont mind the weird and wonderful characters that are so well portrayed on the tv show you will have a ball at the Terralta apartments.

Me and my 2 friends went to Benidorm in September 2006 and when I read the reviews I thought oh no this place is for couples and people with young kids!

When we arrived I was amazed at how modern the place was and the staff were very friendly as well! The Apartments were lovely, spacious & very modern and had everything you need in them.

There was a long walk from the apartments down into the bizz but that did me the world of good as I badly needed the exercise, haha and at night we would just get a taxi back which was always around 7 Euros!! Wouldn't recommend for elderly or people with walking difficulties.

I would definitely go back and would recommend it for Families and couples although me and the girls had a fab holiday but I wouldn't go with a large group of friends. The 24hour reception was great as well as I was constantly needing change for the payphones to phone my boyfriend back home. These apartments were top notch!!
