I just got back from staying at viva sunrise i loved the entertainment at night and the pools were well nice. All the staff were really polite and your not very far from the beach. Me my sister and mum and dad all loved it and would love to go again :). Also the cleaners only clean your room if you put the sign on the door so you won't be disturbed. i think it should be rated better than a 3 star.

My wife and I had booked our holiday with our local agent and where suposed to be going to a different hotel. The mix up was a real sucess for us. The Sunrise was a delight to be in. The best thing for us was the fact that the staff who looked after the kid's club really made our daughter feel right at home. ( Bufo was brilliant ) The facilities and rooms were basic but what more do you need. The food was plentiful, the pool was always clean and we will be back for sure. We have been to Alcudia on several occasions and by far this was the most enjoyable.

Hotel clean, well maintained, good facilities for children, active children's club.
Breakfast and dinner a good international standard with daily variety on the evenings.
Beach was 300yds walk away, not a great view (seems to include a power station as well as picturesque mountains) but nice sandy beach with gentle waves and few noisy jet skis etc.
We had a very good time.

Only back from Viva Sunrise and was quite pleased with it. We went "allocated on arrival" and didn’t know what to expect.
Towels changed 5 days out of 7. Beds only made when sign put outside of door. Bed linen was not changed at all during our week there. Also the kitchen did not have a kettle and one of the doors was hanging off its hinges.
This was the only downside. However air conditioning was great as it would have been very close and warm. Must say that staff at reception were really lovely.

Brilliant facilities with friendly staff that makes you feel welcomed by everyone. There was a maid that came regularly to clean the rooms which is brilliant
The pool area was brilliant with crystal clear water with loads of sun loungers.
Brilliant food especially at breakfast because it is a buffet so if you don't like a hot breakfast you can always have toast. Cereals or fruit.
The entertainment is excellent and they love getting everyone involved even if you’re not on stage.
We got a poolside balcony on the top floor which is good because we get stunning views.
This hotel is very good for anyone especially families.
Also the locals are friendly and there is nearby shops, restaurants, and pubs.
We were with Panorama (my travel) and flew from Bournemouth and when we landed at Palma a bus took us from the plane to the airport and we got our bags fairly quickly, and then there was a air conditioned coach waiting which took us to a viva sunrise via a couple of other hotels.
All the family loved it 10/10.

We had the best family holiday we have had in long time at the Viva Sunrise. The hotel is situated about 5-10 mins walk from the beach front, but it doesn't feel that long. The front of the hotel looks out onto the canal and the back overlooking the pool & entertainment area. We were overlooking the canal, it was a quite spot, not too much traffic from the road below and I think we were on the 3rd floor. The only noise was the bin men about 1am, but they are fast and gone within a few minutes, it certainly didn't wake our 4 year old up.
The guests are mainly Swedish and German; we made friends with many people while we were there. The hotel itself is lovely and clean, well maintained with very spacious rooms. The food from the snack bar at lunch was delicious; we ate out of an evening. There is an exit near the stage and there are cheap places to eat right on the doorstep and the spa shop at the front of the hotel for cheap drinks for by the pool in the day.
I can't praise the entertainment team enough, they work so hard. If you have a husband who gets bored very quickly sitting by the pool then this is definitely the holiday for you! There are all sorts of activities through the day like archery, shooting, pool volley ball, you name it, they do it and the best is it's all free of charge. The kids club is great too, they do arts and crafts, skittles, and games and once a week they do Bufo's birthday party. For about £3.50 they take the kids about 10am and do activities throughout the day within the complex, they have lunch and then have a cake and sing happy birthday to bufo. The kids love it. A great time for a Mum to take a total relax in the sun.
In the evening they have a kids show first and they get the kids involved in the shows, dress them up and get them to appear in the show and do simple acts like animals etc. At the end of the kids show they have a disco and sing the Bufo song. After this they have the evening entertainment which was really great too, some amazing shows.
The complex was so good with so much to do we spent virtually the whole week there, went to the beach once and out for a Chinese on the main road once. The entertainment was so good we just didn't want to miss it.
This hotel is A* and would recommend it anyway for a super family holiday.

Just returned from two weeks at Viva Sunrise, were not disappointed. The first impressions when you walk in is of a bright a clean area, the room we had was a studio, and although basic was very clean, cleaning and towels are done over 5 days, although even on the cleaners days off you can go to reception and get clean towels.
The staff are all very willing to help. The entertainment team are hard working and the children there seemed to be having a great time. We could never get a sun bed so had to walk to the beach, which is a short walk away.
We ate once at the hotel and found the food ok and quite reasonable. There are lots of places to eat round about we ate at the Canny Lad quite a lot the food is good and the prices about average.
All in all our first visit to Alcudia was excellent, we would definitely return, although would try another hotel for the simple reason we like to try different places.

We travelled as a family with our two children (7 & 11 ) to Viva Sunrise which is excellently presented and meticulously well maintained property - cleaning of spacious apartment on 5 out of every 7 days. All the staff (reception, cleaners, waiters, entertainers etc) are professional, hard-working and incredibly friendly and consistently good humoured. It's evident that they take justifiable pride in their product.
There's a good varied, although a little uneven, nightly entertainment programme. Also a very extensive range of games, activities, organised throughout the day for children of all ages incl. the adults. Frequented by a good healthy mix of nationalities although not dominated by any one nationality.
The perennial sun bed problem is not a significant factor here, some reserving happens but there seems to be enough to go around. The resort itself is not terribly distinctive but by no means objectionable. I would certainly recommend Viva Sunrise without any hesitation.

Just returned from a 7 night half board stay at the Viva Sunrise with our 2 children aged 9 and 7 and what a great holiday we had! All the previous comments were spot on so we knew what we were getting before we went.
This hotel is definitely worth a visit. It is spotlessly clean and all the staff are very helpful.
The rooms were well laid out with 2 huge wardrobes with plenty of shelves though coat hangers were limited so we took most of our clothes hung on wire ones in the cases so it was easier to unpack. The bathroom was very clean and there was plenty of liquid soaps and shower gel for us as well as 8 rolls of toilet paper!!
We never experienced a problem with the sun beds though the hotel did not seem full when we arrived, it was getting busier on our departure in early June.
The residents were mostly from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland etc and the entertainment was geared up for announcements in several languages which you get used to. The entertainment team worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a good time adults and children alike.
My two were a little too old for the kiddies club however the water park and the pool with the sloping access kept them more than occupied. I took a small cool bag for the drinks around the pool which we purchased from the spar shop around the corner (much cheaper). Typical hotel prices were 3 Euros a pint and 1.75 for a soft drink.
Safe keys 14.50 Euros which was pricey but gives peace of mind.
The only fault I can say is that the standard of the evening meal on our half board option was average otherwise I would have given the Viva Sunrise 10 out of 10. I would definitely go again but only on a bed and breakfast board as there are loads of bars and restaurants only a short walking distance away which means you get a better variety.
The waiters and kitchen staff were excellent and the food in the buffet style trays were constantly being changed but it was really the quality of the meat products used which was poor, I really think they would benefit from a chef grilling fresh chicken or steak to order as lots of the evening meal options were in a stew form and did not look appetising I'm afraid.
That said don't let that put you off we managed OK for a week it’s a matter of taste really.
Last tip - take fleeces or jackets for the evening as after 9pm it got quite breezy which we weren't prepared for. You really should give this hotel a go you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my days - the best hotel in Alcudia (well I think). Those poor cleaners - honestly, from us they had to put up with a lot and they were just immense (free bottle of vodka ladies!) The hotel in general was mint, a little shop that was quite good for prices, and when you’re hungover there’s really no chance for an argument when you want either food or water!
The receptionists put up with a lot of hammer from us so they really must have patience - 8 in the morning with us 2 rolling in and they even keep the key to your room which is a total lifesaver! The beach was only 5 minutes away and it was really good - especially when you have a hangover! Do not buy fruit! You have to pay for it when they cut it for you - but they don’t tell you the price till they cut it.
Viva sunrise is in the middle really of all the good bars and restaurants with the peach pit n cheers literally next door the park with the burgundy dome is immense! I would advise a visit but do not attempt to climb the framage whilst under the influence. Even though you next to the canal, we didn’t get bit once and we used spray once on the whole holiday! The only bad thing about this place is that they close the bottom gate at 5am, not good must be later! Pretty views from the rooms and the mountain helps you find your way back to the hotel.
The computers are so good and they're alright for prices but there’s usually a queue. Pancake dude is a must see! What a total legend, he must be on something, see him then go to all stars and the shine they're class! On the whole, mint hotel, really want to go back Norman is a beast!

We have recently returned from a 16 day stay at the Viva Sunrise. We had a fantastic time. My daughters loved the entertainment crew, especially Zak who was the only British one.
The room was really spacious and clean. The pool area was lovely and clean. Although there was the usual problem of all the sunbeds being taken by 9am. The hotel does state that if any sunbeds with towels on them are unused for 45 mins the towels will be removed, but I never saw this being enforced.
The entertainment was great and the children enjoyed seeing BUFO every night, although I was starting to tire of it towards the end of the holiday.
Lots of places to eat out. The port area is lovely and I did prefer that end more. The beach is lovely with watersports and pedalos etc. Although it was peak season we did experience about a week of cloud and rain with thunderstorms which was horrible. But on the whole the holiday was a great success.

We have just returned from a week in Alcudia, staying at the Viva Sunrise. It was our first package holiday and it was excellent. Alcudia is perfect for families and couples wanting a chilled out break, but there’s plenty to do if you want. There were no sleazy parts and the whole town is very much a family spot. All restaurants and bars are child friendly and most have shows/entertainment each night. It has a beautiful beach with sun loungers and loads of water sports, with the old town and port just twenty minutes stroll away.
The hotel was great with excellent facilities. (bar, restaurant, supermarket, playground, bouncy castle, laundry, tennis court/football court, shooting area, putting green, sandpit, and a shaded activity area for kids) The pool area is a revelation, with a large sloping pool perfect for kids. a deep pool for adults and older kids and a baby pool for toddlers. The water was spotless and maintenance guys were always testing the water quality. The area is beautifully landscaped with plenty of sun loungers and chairs. You can get towels from reception at €10 deposit and change them as often as you like.
The room was spotless with loads of storage, couch beds, a little fridge and a strange hob/sink combination. It also had air con and a built in radio. The only gripe was that you had to rent a kettle if you wanted one, and a key if you wanted to use the provided safe.
Bathroom was great with a full size bath and a super shower. Towels were changed every day of the week bar two. Each apartment had decent size balcony with furniture and a wire rack for hanging towels. Sliding doors in both living room and bedroom meant plenty of air circulation. Also nice thick full length curtains for blocking out sunlight.
Staff on reception, waiters, maids and activity coordinators were all lovely, friendly and more than happy to help you. Buffet breakfast was ok if you wanted a change coz it had a great variety of stuff from continental to bacon and eggs. (On our final day they served deep fried broccoli in batter - yes it was disgusting) I found the food in the restaurant to be average, but there was something for everyone. (Hint: buy your beers and drinks in the supermarket for around the pool) Spar market around the corner had a good selection of beers and wines
Plenty of supervised activities for all, especially kids. Check out the board in reception. There were also tours etc organised by reception. Car/ bike/ scooter rental all nearby.
Lunas steakhouse stood out because of excellent food, friendly fun staff and good entertainment with shows each night and fun games and competitions, also has an excellent playground. Plenty of other good pubs and eateries, too numerous to mention.
Overall a great holiday in a great spot, can't wait to go back. Apologies for long-winded review, but there was that much good stuff to say. Slán.
