I stayed here at Easter of this year...

May 2006, Miss Carol Wooding

I stayed here at Easter of this year and the most wonderful time I had. It was magical, mystical and I have never been anywhere like it in my life before.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, the food was wonderful and the staff and owners made me feel so welcome that I felt like I had known them all my life.
I am planning on going back again very soon.

This Hotel is a joke. The rooms were the worst that i have come across in any hotel. They were very small and cramped with plastic portacabin like toilets within the room.
The food ( for which they apparently pride themselves) was akin to basic school dinners. We had their special New Years Menu which was overpriced, badly cooked and irregularly served.
However the worst aspect about this hotel was the way were we made to feel about staying there. The owner was overbearing and imposing and mad e you feel like you were a guest at his expense ( even making one of our party very upset).
It is a shame because the setting if wonderful and the local village is very nice. Such a pity that someone could get things so drastically wrong. If you like kitch and appalling customer service then this is your place.
Not to be recommended.

This hotel was in a class of its own....

Jul 2005, Miss R Hill

This hotel was in a class of its own. It was owned by artists, which gave it a hippy feel about it. The views were out of this world and it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and very romantic. The little village of Tintagel was very friendly with some lovely restaurants especially one that the taxi driver took us to which was on a cliff face, unfortunately I forget the name of it. I would highly recommend a stay here and it was very reasonable at just 90 pound for two people a night considering it’s a castle and also the founding place for king Arthur.
