On arrival we paid a €50 refundable deposit per person and €10 deposit for a safe totalling €260. We were stupid not to check the receipt which was only for the safe. The Luxmar refused to refund the €250 because they said there was nothing to prove we paid it. ... more

the service in the hotel is poor.only changed the towels once, no-one cleaned the apartment except us!.
and they never changed the bedding for the week we stayed.
also dont book all-inclusive as they dont do it there its a 20min walk away

we have just came back on 1st may 2010 from the luxmar apartments and i must say if youve booked to go here CHANGE IT these apartments were filthy the doors didnt lock as they had been jemmied open and there were holes in the ceiling i have a 2 year old and we got moved after two nights

staff had bad attitude! 50 euros deposit do not like handing it back! deny recieving it even though will not hand over key until paid! horrible swimming pool! loud def not for children and families! balcony door does not lock! cold shower if ur lucky enough for it to work!... more

Nice holiday....but...... from seafair
The apartment was fine apart from the very noisy people who were also staying at the luxmar. There was a group of young men who would gather at the balcony for most of our stay and talk and shout at the very early hours of the morning, this would keep us awake, and ruined a good nights sleep. Also the moving of furniture was annoying to say the least! Stayed here for a 3 night break in May 2004. Room basic but clean. Hotel staff very friendly and allowed us to play our own music when we strolled in at 2-3 in the morning while playing pool. Only problem * HOT WATER*, we had 4 people in our apartment and there wasn't enough water in the tank for us all.......

when we arrived at the luxmar aparts, i was pleasently surprised although not spacious for 4 people but clean tidy basic but all the things we needed. Being all in our 30s we were anticapating it being full of lager louts and screaming teens but not at all. lot of middle aged and families there. I stayed at the Lux-Mar with 3 of my friends and we had a brilliant time. I found that the staff were really friendly (especially George), and there was a really nice atmosphere. We were quite loud but didnt have any problems with security. The hotel bars opening hours are very flexible. We were getting served at 6am in the morning! Theres quite alot to do around the actual hotel aswell and you are close to all the shops. Beach and nightlife is only about a 10 min walk away which is ace. I went to luxmar in July and stayed for a week with 11 of my friends. The rooms were small and the lack of cleanliness was appaulling. I was truely horrified wen the rooms were cleaned once. The staff and security at the luxmar were rude and unhelpful during the whole of my holiday. The pool was small but nice and I was mortified that they expected me to pay 1 euro 50 for a sunlounger each day. Considering it was meant to be an 18-30's holiday they were very srict about the amount of noise wew made. I loved benidorm itself the clubs and bars... more

I hated the apartments. On our first nite we met a load of lads from bolton who we became friends with.there was 11 of us n 16 of them n we were in n out of each others roooms. Security kept knocking n making us go in our own rooms i felt like i was on a school trip i felt like i was being treated like a child, quote security"you leave now no girls/boys mix".the rooms were mingin n got cleaned once The pool was ok a bit small n freezing but it was nice to cool down. Loved it!! Me and my two mates went in may thought the staff were great. exspecialy goerge he is a top bloke he even came clubbin with us!! The rooms r a bit small but hey who wants to sit in a room all day. the pool is nice but small we called it the pond. I would defaintly return to the Luxmar. I like Benidorm that much me n my two mates are moveing out there in july. Sure u have a great timelove it!!!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed here for a week in July and liked it overall. The rooms were spacious enough for the two of us. The balcony was fairly big, and in the hot summer it served as an open air dining room for us. The apartments are in an ideal location, being close to the shops and about 15 minutes from the beach. I would love to return, but our biggest disappointment was the lack of cleaning. The maid came twice during the week but only to change the towels. We had to do the cleaning ourselves.

found apartment to be small for three people bedroom was ok but living area was rather small .wouldnt use these apartments in winter unfortunately it was cold and draughty ,but shouldnt be a problem in summer months .cleanliness was basic ,others have said towel change once a week but we had two changes ..think would look for upgrade next time alas it was cheapy package so didnt expect anything better

I thought these apartments were excellent, the rooms were very clean, tidy and big and the atmosphere was great. all the staff were very friendly and always happy to chat and help. the apartment is in a great position so the sun shines on the pool all day. i really likes staying at those apartments and would most defenetly go back.
