Comments:  just arrived back from levanti lux today ,we had a one bedroom apartment was very clean and spacious, but the only prob we found was the cooker first week would not work hob was broken as well, used it one day turned all off went out for a few hours luckly i forgot some thing went back to the room found it full of smoke the hobs un beknown to us had aslo broken and had not turned off even though all had been switched off the fire alarms never went off could have caused major fire had i had not gone back burnt the saucepans and they tried to charge me for them which i refused. so take care when using the cooker and hob.there is no entertainment what so ever here so if have small children might find it a bit boring in the evening,we had the inclusive drinks package which was good value aprt from no tea or coffee or water included only fizzy pop and beer and local spirits. we were on the 14 floor great view and also away from coclroaches which were in floors 8 and below, over all hol was ok ,staff were friendly but would not go there again because of lack of entertainment and health and safety

Comments:  The staff were soooooo friendly, especially Juan the manager of the hotel. The pool was bigger than expected and all the other guests were very friendly and caused no trouble but endless amounts of entertainment. Before we arrived we thought that the apartment rooms would not be up to scratch, but we were very pleasently surprised by how spacious it was, and this was with 5 people staying in my apartment. The best bit of the hotel was the balcony it was very large and had a nice table outside which allowed you to be able to sit out there and have your evening meal. I really rate this hotel and would love to go back again... Definitely recommended!!!!

Comments:  Went on a girly holiday to benidorm, staying at the levante lux which on the whole was a nice place to stay. Being 18, the fact that there were a lot of other young girl/lad groups also staying at the hotel was a benefit to us, however to families this may not be something they'd be particularly fond of. Our rep steve was lovely, informed us of the 'young n lively' bar crawls run by first choice reps, which were amaaazing, definately worth going on. The nightlife, particularly in the square is definatley the place to go of the night time. Free shots & Free cocktails galore. Bahamas disco pub & hippodrome are fab.

I think to say the apartments are on a 'hill' is an exaggeration. It wasn't any effort to get up the slight incline a few times every day.

Also, the pool area only becomes shaded in certain areas along with the position of the sun and time of day. so instead of complaining about the shade, get up and move the sunbeds into the sun!

Theres no entertainment at the hotel, so for families with young kids, this place isn't really ideal. However for those looking for somewhere to purely 'rest their head' and relax round the pool in the sun, its ideal, and value for money.

The apartments are really clean, and luckily, even though we smashed the fruit bowl, stained the white tiles with red nail varnish, cracked a tile and put a hole in one of the bed sheets, we still got our 60euro deposit back.

The staff therefore are very very nice, however blind for not noticing what we'd done to the place.

Comments:  Although i have given the overall rating as an 8 i can definitely say i will not be going back to the Levante Lux. The apartment was well equipped and the staff were friendly and helpful, the big problem was the other guests who seemed to be large families and because of this thought they owned the pool area and had no respect for the other guests and no control over their children and were quite happy to sit and watch as they wrestled on the side of the pool and threw each other in and also kick footballs from one side of the pool to the other not caring if anybody else was in the way. When a complaint was made by a guest this only served to light the blue touch paper as the rep was then subjected to a barrage of foul and abusive language which he handled very well considering he should not have been put in that situation in the first place.

Because of the above my own children only used the pool twice and that was under my supervision out of fear that they would be hurt or injured the rest of the time we had to walk to the beach to swim.

In short if you want to stay in a well equipped clean apartment then this is the place for you, if you are looking for quiet time around the pool then look elsewhere.

Comments:  Stayed at the levante lux apartments from end of june till begining july rooms are spacious clean and well equiped. it is on a slight incline but not to bad to walk as my 3 year old managed it 3 or 4 times a day. there is 1 bar/restaurant i would recomend the grand national lovely food very cheap.the beach is lovely clean and very busy beds a bit expensive 4 euros a day per person.the levante lux doesnt offer much for children to do theres the pool and internet which is 1 euro for 15 minutes. the staff on the other hand are amazeing with the kids they are very pleasent always ready to help 10/10 for the staff. i wouldnt recomend these apartments for familys as there was more groups of teenagers than what there was familys and didnt care who they woke up in the middle of the night going from room to room shouting and screaming.so if you are looking for quiet holiday you wont find it here. overall a good holiday 7/10

Comments:  We have just stayed at Levante Lux for a week. We were a bit apprehensive before we went because of things we heard about Benidorm but when we got there we were really surprised. The apartments are lovely and clean. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed one and we had loads of space. The brochure we got didn't give it justice. There was entertainment twice a week. It might only be singers but at least theres something going on. Theres a pool table, internet access and other games. Plus there is a bar which also serves meals. The staff were very friendly too. Benidorm itself has loads of shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is really long and clean. We went on a trip to Mundomar where we saw dolphins and sea lions. We went on a trip to Valencia both were worth there money. We didn't get chance to see everything in one week and we will definately be going back and staying at the levante Lux.

Comments:  The actual holiday was brilliant as me and 4 friends all went together and it was good value for money. The only slightly annoying thing was that a lot of the stuff in the apartment was broke such as the front door, patio doors, sink taps and it seemed the apartment was a bit fragile. However, saying this, they problems were always sorted within a day and all the staff were friendly. I would recommend for others to go there but perhaps at a busier time

Comments:  Our room was very clean, tidy & well equiped worthy of a 3 star. David our rep was very helpful and made our stay a pleasant one. The apartment was fitted with Air Con & Heating for the cooler evenings, it had a TV that was only capable of recieving CNN & Eurosport along with four other Spanish television networks. Although we didn't need the TV much as there was plenty of entertainment within 5-10 mins walk. Down the road towards the sea was an English run pub 'The White Horse', here we found great entertainment most nights of the week and friendly bar staff.
The Levante Lux apartments are on a hill and although it wasn't too steep, I can imagine it would become a pain in the heat of the summer. The swimming pool was a disapointment as it was constantly in the shade.
During our stay we took part in the 25 mile bike ride in the mountains which was great fun.
For the time of year Benidorm wasn't too crowded and the weather was fair. Some nights we needed a jumper or light coat to walk around in and other nights were fine with just a t-shirt.
The beach was spotless and raked daily to remove any rubbish, there is a nice marbel paved area along the beach front which is lit well at night. There are plenty of sunbeds but we felt they were a little too expensive at €4 per day each.

Comments:  The apartments were good value for money, very clean and well equipped.

The only downside was the behaviour of some of the other guests! Every night, a couple of young girls, accompanied by their little children arrived back at the apartments at 3am and they were not quiet! Other holiday makers did not control their children either, letting them run in and out, play in the lifts etc.

There did not appear to be any security staff on duty at any time. Also, the karaoke was so loud it made the windows rattle!!

If you are looking for peace and quiet, go to the old town instead.

Comments:  As we arrived at the levante lux,(after a 2 hour transfer and in much need of a drink and a ciggy!!!!)we were greeted by a full pool area with a rather small pool. The apartments looked great and the check in was over in a flash, which was good as we were dying to get to our most FAVE bar " the piccadilly".The apartment was clean and well equipped, the only downside was the window in the bedroom didnt lock, but considering we were on the 13th floor i didnt expect anyone would be climbing through the window to rob us!!!!!. there were alot of male only and female only gangs in the apartments which i dont think is good when you have young kids as mine were 3 and 12 years old, the gangs were coming in drunk at 5am which we was not happy about. also one of the male gangs bought one of the dead, skinned cats from the indoor market and kindly threw it about the apartments and it ended up outside our room door which upset my 3 year old, this was reported to reception and was quickly removed, thank god!!!!Apart from those few hiccups everything else was great, we would stay here again, but 2008 we are trying the sister apartment The Levante Beach which are situated just down the road near the triangle pub. when in benidorm please do try the piccadilly sports bar its FANTSTIC, and only a euro a pint!!!!!!!

Comments:  I feel I am putting a dampener on this place and feel guilty, as I know from the reviews it is a very popular apartment complex. It all depends what you're looking for and what your budget is. Reviews also reflect the age group/family circumstance/travelling companions.

Now, I am 60 and my partner is 68, so this is written from our perspective. Our families have grown up now, but we both agree for a family with young children it is ideal. (As a tip I would just say we weren’t charged any 'under occupancy' for a one bed apartment).

There was plenty of room to accommodate Mom, Dad and a couple of young children. The kids can have a great time round the pool, and although there is a sign prohibiting ball games and inflatables, this is not enforced.

Albeit self-catering, you are not allowed to take your own drinks down to the pool area, although to be fair the bar prices are not excessive.

It is also ideal for the 18 to 30 club. The lads and lassies that were there spent the day by the pool, and then went out to party. You don't need transport, as the night-life of the New Town is only a 10 minute stroll away. There were several groups of youngsters staying whilst we were there, and, apart from the ball games in the pool, they were not intrusive at all.

The only real incident we experienced was the two mothers and their (around) ten year old daughters, who determined they wanted a dip in the pool at around 1.00 in the morning. The Management were quick to react, and soon extracted offending parents and children from the water. There were a few sharp words in Spanish, and said families were good for the rest of the holiday.

Take no notice of the comments about it being on a hill. It is on an incline. If you want to see a hill, walk up to the Palm Beach.

The staff were really lovely.

Pro rata to the number of apartments, the pool area is small. There was never any shortage of sunbeds, but as sunlight is restricted because of the high rise blocks that surround the complex you had to be early to bag your place in the sun. As seems to be the norm anywhere and everywhere, the beds were laid out and reserved with towels whilst the owners went off to get a cheap breakfast.

We were prepared for the deposit against breakages (£40 or the equivalent in euro), but thought it really a con that you had to pay to have the aircon turned on. When we arrived, the a/c was running and we thought we wouldn't have to pay for it after all.

Then, after a couple of hours, it was turned off - never to circulate again as we refused to pay. When we went end June beginning July, the sun was high and all we ever had on the (very large) balcony was a strip of sunlight (you could move your chair to catch it) for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

So, the apartment never really got sub-tropical hot. If the sun had been lower, we would have melted. The charge for the safe is also high (we think around 40 euro for the fortnight) so budget for this as I don't think your insurance is validated unless you put valuables in the safe.

Can't really comment on the catering. All we ever ordered was a plate of chips. They were American Fries, and not cooked properly (How can you put thin sticks of potato in hot oil and still manage to leave them half-cooked?).

The kitchen equipment was very sadly lacking. Four plates, cup and saucers, cereal bowls. Also four each cutlery. Four each drinking/wine/brandy glasses and a glass jug. If you wanted to boil an egg, you had to use a saucepan designed to cater for a regiment.

No worries it's their electricity you are using, although I've never used a frying pan before to cook peas and cauliflower! You couldn't use the hot plates to cook if you wanted to use the oven as well as it would blow the circuit. After a replacement extractor fan (we blew that as well), I got the hang of it.

In the bathroom the shower was very good a real 'power' job, but there was nowhere to lay out your toiletries. There was a make-shift shelf over the washbasin, but every time you turned on the tap you would knock over your sun cream, toothbrushes etcetera. I ended up placing my make yourself beautiful/smell nice/hair treatments/anti wrinkle creams (at 60 you need a lot of these) on the floor.

I also took one of the plastic dining chairs into the bathroom for the big plus on continental bathrooms; they have power points in the bathroom for your hairdryers and electric curlers.

To summarise good for Families and 18-30 Club. For serious self caterers take with you a motley assortment of Pyrex dishes and table mats (my partner has to have his dinner on a hot plate and I was paranoid we would burn the dining table thus losing our deposit). In the end dinner was served up on tea towels.

In Benidorm self-catering is a big plus as you can eat out so well and so cheaply. It is the last place on earth you should consider 'All Inclusive' holidays.

No, we wouldn't go back to the Levante-Lux again. But, not knocking it for families and the 18-30 club.

Comments:  Stayed here for Wozzys 50th birthday bash! All 14 of us (not in 1 room I hasten to add) it was clean & comfy but never got the TV to work, good job we were always out & about.

2 mins away is the Yorkshire Pride, its brill for all meals but you have to be hungry as they are massive!!

Plenty of room round the pool areas, lifts to all floors, a bit lacking in wardrobe space if you’re sleeping in lounge and the cleaner only did our room once in a week, although towels were changed a couple of times.

Overall not bad for what we paid, but beware there is a bit of building work in the area which looks like it will be finished soon. Would go back. Am going back in Sept.

Comments:  First time away with our 10 month old daughter, so was a bit weary - Had an excellent time.

The hotel is in a great position, just 5/10 mins outside all the hustle & bustle but yet nicely situated in a quiet area. Last thing you want when you've put your kids to bed is them being woken by motorbikes screaming up & down the roads! When you've got a young family it’s just where you want to be.

Around the hotel there are plenty of bars & restaurants for the cheap food & drinks.

The beach is only 5 mins away, down 2 blocks.

The hotel itself is excellent. rooms are spacious & clean & even have an outside washroom. They come well stocked as well.

The staff are very helpful & friendly. You get that feeling that they like helping you not because they have to. I even left a brand new unopened Lacoste polo shirt in the room & they posted it back for me - how about that for honesty from the cleaner !!

Excellent position, quiet, near beach, away from main road noise, near enough to nightlife when required, near cheap bars etc, nice pool, nice bar, & food area in day time for all your needs.

Will definitely go back when we next return to Benidorm.
