Excellent

Sep 2011, Emma

We stayed here for 2 weeks end of August. It was a fantastic holiday, hotel very clean, spacious apartment and cleaned regularly. Food was great with an excellent choice. Staff very polite and friendly. Can I also just add for the people who have written the other reviews if you require a top end service etc. then you need to pay for it!!! For the money you are paying to stay at this hotel it is excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again.

we stayed here end august, pool was never cleaned, dirt in grid around pool, told rep and nothing was done about it. food all inclusive was never hot, poor choice, milk in jug standing in bowl of ice. we have been going with firstchoice for 11 years and this is the worst all inclusive, my son who is 11 did not eat anything.we had to go out to eat at least 3 times and spent 100 euros, dining room was too small to cater for 4 apartments, not enough staff. person on bar duty also was checking people in. passports were left in full view of customers and not put away in safe.

Good Value for Money

This was an excellent hotel, we hardly paid any money to come here. I have quite high standards and didnt find a problem with this hotel at all I go away 4 times a year and this is actualy the best hotel I have been to in a while. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and much bigger then any of the 4 star hotels I have been to. This is only officially a two key hotel so I cant see why people would expect a 4 star service.
The staff were friendly. The food was good, plenty of choice, my son is only 3 and the staff always made a real effort for him.
Yes you do have to go over the road for food but everyone should have been told about this before hand and in actual fact I enjoyed this as we had access to two hotels for one price.
The park was good and my son had plenty of hours playing on that and in the pool.
There was a good choice of alcohol drinks and soft drinks.
It was close to all the nightlife and we really enjoyed having a walk out.
Overall the hotel was clean, tidy, staff friendly, food good and all round good holiday.

Stayed 10 nights in these apartments and it was a nightmare. we were all inclusive but had to pay £40 deposit for any breakages...2.50 a day for tv..£10 deposit for tv remote..£2.50 a day for the safe..£3 for the air conditioning..etc...etc...food was very very basic..swordfish..hake..plaice..no haddock or cod..we had chicken wings for lunch..then had chicken legs on the evening..salad and chips every day..no ham....no dark cheese..very poor indeed...The restaurant was too small for the 2 hotels so we were kept asking by waiters..Finished? Finished? They wanted us ot quickly to reduce the big queues. The beds are fold down sofa beds..very small very uncomfortable. A barman was tapping a computer for 5 mins while I waited for a drink. These apartments were full of rowdy noisy stag and hen nighters..shouting singing swearing and banging doors till early hours. The entertainment was non existant. 3 rd rate singers with no personality. we went out a few nights to find some decent entertainment. All inclusive and I still spend over £500. If I was offered a free holiday here i would refuse. Never Again. Next year I am go to the Rosamare or Regente

we stayed here on the 31/6/11 to 7/6/11 and it was a nitemare . the hotel that we booked for was meant to have entetainment be a four star and pool bar for drinks and snacks this was all faulse info we payed 1700 pound for this hotel which is very very basic the rooms were a gd size and were clean but we only got a clean change of towels once . the pool was small and very very cold . when we arrived the first thing they said was you need to leave a 40 pound deposit for the room then once we were settled we came down to geat somthing to eat and found out we had to cross the road and go to another hotel the dinning area was like a soup kitchen and the food was disgusting if you liked burgers .fish or chicken you were laughing but this got repeated every meal.and 4 hotels were using this dinning room there was no entetainment and also there was 2 break ins that i know off there is cctv but it was not working so after the family that woke up to an indruder the put securiy on but i never saw any gaurd ican go on and on but i hope you get the picture please dont give them your hard eared cash

Intruder in my sons room at 4.30 am

We were woken at 4.30 am on our first night by our little boy crying, A man was next to my bed with his hand in my handbag. I screamed and he ran out. We chased him but he got away with my camera phone money etc. No security and no cctv working at the time. The man came in through a locked front door using a cloned pass card. Local Police not interested as its a normal occurance to get mugged in that hotel. My children were traumatised and we were moved the next morning. apart from that the Hotel is dire, the food was terrible. No entertainment as advertised. Never again !!!!!

i visited levante beach apartments with my girlfriend her parents and brother. we stayed at the apartments for 14 nights, flights with thomson, staff very friendly. food menu not good at all. a couple of pizzas on it thats it. 2.50 for 2 pints on happy hour. not too bad. we were right next to 3 pubs cant remember the names lol. very good and entertaining. also the weather is fabolous. around 34 degrees on a july. not too bad alothough we were told that in august there was going to be a heat wave.i would recommend this to FAMILY'S as its very quiet in and around the apartments. but outside every night you could always hear very loud spanish people shouting right through the night you have to pay for the air conditioning we didnt but do pay for it as it is far to warm a hardly slept a wink in the 2 week stay. for food john and josephs is the best there is. the beach is beautiful, rooms quite small, lifts which i hate me and my girlfriend got stuck in i am very self conscuise about we were quickly rescued though after about 15 minutes, the staff are happy chappys!! think i have just wrote a book on the levante beach! lets just sum it up fabolous location reccomended to family people.

we stayed at the levante beach apartments in sept 2009 on a self catering basis. these apartments were described on the first choice website as having air conditioning, however we had to pay 30euros deposit plus 5 euros per day for it, which was certainly not mentioned when we booked.the rooms were very clean and tidy, but were told that should we require clean towels, we then had to ask reception for them. Also on the website photos it shows a tv in the room, which again was 3 euros per day.The pool looks lovely but again was not very clean, and a couple of guests had ear infections. Overall, these apartments are central to bars and restaurants, and the beach is extremely close.

We arrived on the 1st of September 2009, left on 15th September. The weather for this time of year is bearably hot. On arrival we had to pay 60Euros for breakage deposit and 30Euros (non refundable) for safe hire. The 60 Euro breakage deposit was ok though, we were told by our rep that only in serious breakages would we lose it, anything else could be replaced. There's also a list of all items on the back of the door that are accountable for, mostly there are 6 of each items so it's easy to account for everything. We broke a glass, but we nipped down to a shop virtually on the sea front (Elana's shop i think), which was one of the best shops there for buying useful non holiday stuff.
When you first arrive they will have your passports of your party (in our case they took 5 passports). They will then issue you with a key card which they have programmed for your room. If you require more key cards then that is not a problem (we had 4 key cards off them in total). After about an hour and half you can then collect the rest of your passports and key cards and also collect a master card for the safe. You then use the master card to key in unique code of your liking into the safe, after that you wont need to use the master card again, so you can put that somewhere safe. The safe we found was big enough to fit a laptop, bulky camera, all moneys, wallets, ipods, and passports with space to spare.
Rooms are nice, they've all got a sea view, although there is an apartment in front of the Levante, you can still see the beach and sea. You also get an excellent view of the mountains too. If anyone has a problem with heights, i would suggest avoiding the higher of the floors as the balcony only comes up to waist high and isn't good for those with a fear of heights (we were on the 13th floor btw. There's only 14 floors in total, the 14th being a penthouse).
Rooms were cleaned twice when we were there (combo of Spanish and Romanian cleaners, some friendly some not so), although if like us (5 of us sharing) you found that the towels were all getting dirty, you could always ask for clean ones and depending who was on you might get clean towells. The kitchen has a toaster, fridge/freezer, cooker and all the cooking utensils you will require. Bathroom has a bath with a not bad shower, the toilet roll was also changed regularly so we never ran out. Avoid drinking the water as a rule of thumb but boiling it for a cuppa wasn't a problem for us.
Internet: There is Wifi in the hotel, not the quickest or most reliable but useful all the same. There are also 4 fixed computer terminals by the reception area pay as you go things (just pop 1 Euro in and off you go). Just have to make sure that translate pages from Spanish to English and some of the keys aren't that easy to find (have to press Ctrl and Alt to get the @ sign which is by the numbers lol).
Pool is open from 9am - 8pm, you can use the other Levante hotel's pool across the road as well. Also there's another hotel up the road which you can also use for the gym and spa.
About 200 ms from the hotel you'll find the beach, took me about 5 minutes slow stroll to get there. There is also 2 fantastic bars about 30ms from the hotel (The Plaza and The White Horse) Both venues have live music and entertainers, mostly tribute singers but i have to say extremely good. (Check out Wendy Manfield, Campus (drag queen, best i've seen in many years), Charlie Joss (tribute to Queen) and Bee Gees tribute act). They had about 4 acts each a night.
One thing to be careful off! There's a television in the lounge by reception, there are many channels on it, but to those with children beware, i was watching Corrie one minute, i flicked to the next channel and was greeted with porn, so parents need to be aware of that.
Don't bother taking towels, they cost about 6 Euros for a big beach towel in most shops, Lilos cost about 7 euros, 5Litre water bottles are cheap but shop around (English owned Quicksave was very cheap). On the beach parasolls cost about 4 Euros for hire but you can buy a parrasol for as cheap as 6 euros.
If you are with Thomson, they run free excursions through a company called PAL. PAL advertise and sell mattresses, theraputic creams and bedding. If you go on one of these excursions you will have a nice couple of hours in Alicante, up in the mountains, at a market etc, but you will have to endure a fairly rigourous (in our case) 1hour 45mins of being couped up in a smallish room in a complex having to endure hard sales techniques. If you want to go on all of the freebies then you need to expect that.
If i think of anything else i shall add it to this, but otherwise enjoy your holiday.

the first thing we were asked for was 60 euros a deposit for the room which was returnable on day of departure also 30 euros for safety deposit box of which 3 was returned. the food was fine if you like fish although there was always cold meat and salads on offer. The staff were good at their job although sometimes thought they done very long shifts and needed a day off. The music at the pool area was very loud usually spanish depending which member of staff was on the area round the pool was always wet even at night when there was entertainment on. the apartments were spotless and air conditioned which was nice. There was plenty pubs round about with good music and food and drink reaonably priced. The beach was lovely but you had to be careful as there were a lot of rocks. we went a boat trip to peacock island which is a nice couple of hours in the sun. When out for lunch we usually went to The Jaggy Thistle it's clean cheap and the staff are very friendly well worth a visit.
