Very good place to stay in although it does have its downsides.
To actually make sure you get a bed by the pool you would need to be down about 8.

Apartment dirty, pool freezing, road through resort is the main road into Alvor and access from one side to the other is via a motorway type foot bridge!

Mostly I was very impressed with with Alvorferias. There were a few exceptions, some of which have already been mentioned by other reviewers.

I would recommend the accommodation, but we went half board and the food was not very good.
Plus there was nothing for the kids to do only play in the freezing cold pools.
The area is very nice in Alvor and the town was lovely, we had some nice meals out.

Me and my partner have been to Club Alvorferias twice and are going again later this year. The apartments themselves are basic, large and clean with a nice balcony but it is the destination and the people that we are in love with.
