Set in the hill side at the top of the mountian, over looking the sea. Kids club also available, self catering or half board available. Two outdoor pools. Lively entertainment, shop on site. Local beaches a taxis ride away for the price of about 1.50 depending on which beach as they are all sandy beaches.

Superb place to stay - great place for kids! Good clubs! Reasonable prices for food in the restaurant. Staff very helpful. Rooms spotless and cleaned regularly. Thomas Cook reps on hand regularly to assist with queries.

Not long back from Gran Canaria, stayed at the Altamar apartments, Apartment was first class plenty room, and ceiling fans, which you needed. Maid service every 2 days, which included clean towels and they even washed, dishes if they were left in sink.... read more

Bit disappointed with the accommodation standards as it was supposed to be 3* and we didn’t have our sheets or towels changed all week. However the pool area made up for that as we had 2 small children with us. Overall the place was okay but would probably go somewhere else next time.
