We stayed at the hotel the same time as John and Nikki. I was one of the young girls served with alcohol and for a matter of fact i am 18 years of age and old enough to get served with alcohol. I was the girl who's mother was "FRANTIC" when she knew that i was in my friends room. The staff were brilliant, could not do enough for you. As for the post sent in by John and Nikki, have no worries about your children, there is a life guard on duty all day and learns the children to swim. The food was fabulous, could not fault it had a large variety. There is a entertainer who is tremendous with both children and adults. All the time we were there the staff were great, there was no signs of any of them taking drugs or under the influence of alcohol.
The maids were in the rooms everyday cleaning and changing the beds. From management to cleaners everything was just as perfect as it would be to make your perfect holiday.
Over all our holiday was fantastic and i would recommend it to everyone and we will definatley be visiting again in the future.

I booked this hotel through Teletext holidays Sun4u 4* Allocationon Arrival but we knew the day before traveling which hotel it was going to be. We arrived at the hotel and had to drag our cases up 2 flights of steps. The hotel from the outset is not modern and is in fact very old looking.
We stayed all inclusive and was expecting 4* star treatement at this 4* hotel.
We got to the room to find the TV only had 2 channels in english BBC news and Eurosport. There was no mini bar. The air conditioning was good. The rooms were very clean.
We went to dinner to find the cut oranges covered in small flies and so did not touch the fruit at all. Not a good start. The rest of the food was clear from insects and looked quite good. During the stay this was very repetitive and even more so than any hotel we had stayed in for the last 10 years All Inclusive.
We went out to the pool and it was good but again not very good for a 4* hotel and the Sun only reached it after midday so was very cold. The Pool bar was totaly self service for AI guests and had a very limited alcoholic range. there was no other bar open during the day. After 5 days they decided to tell us on the 16th June the pool was not in use because they needed to work on them. They were painting the kids pool and they used toxic paint that smelt like nail varnish. This also meant no bar because you could not sit by it for fear of getting high or possibly dying. That was it for the rest of our 10 day stay. No pool although the bar could be used for a couple of 3 of the 5 days it was out of use.
They did offer to pay for a taxi to a local pool but when we asked about getting lunch and drinks they were not interested. Not bad really considering how much money they stood to save by all the guests going somewhere else.
The resort itself in June was totally dead and even during the full season the place is quite because there were not a lot of bars or shops anywhere near this hotel. Dont eat the chinese the restaurants were both rubbish.
The FIRE ALARM. This went off on the Wednesday at 5am and did not even wake me. My wife did after a couple of minutes and we made our way out of the hotel. THE FIRE DOOR BY THE POOL WAS LOCKED. the receptionist did not ensure the hotel was evacuated and some guests just did not wake up because they could not hear the alarm. The receptionist was checking the hotel with the chef to see if there was a fire and how they could turn the alarm off. Good job it was not a real fire. This alarm went off 3 times in all.
The entertainment was ok on about 3 nights out of the 10 but Mariana was useless and did not have a clue. We did a music quiz one night and she played the whole of every tune so we can guess the name or the artist. So 10 questions lasted ages and everyone was laughing because it was so badly done. She also paid more attention to the shows visiting than the guests.
All in all - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
and DON'T BOOK SUN4U or SUNFORLESS. this booking agency do not give you valid emergency numbers and you end up phoning their booking line in the UK. They made no effort to relocate us and expect this all to just go away.
But no doubt they will just change their names when the current one gets to bad to continue using.
Having had such a brilliant time...

This hotel exceeded our expectation!..but it all depends on the people you surround yourself with!...e:g good crowd!...The hotel itself was very clean the staff were most polite .in relation to making you feel at home!..and cocktails!!!..and good company!..Antoni the head bar man was very funny and good at his job...The animation girl marianna was also very good..in fact the staff in general were very professional at their work!....food was good ..but a little repetitive..but to be fair when staying all inclusive for 2 wks i suppose its hard not to be.The Director(manager)..of the hotel was very well received by us..and went out of his way to accommodate our needs!.The pool was very clean ..the hotel spotless!.On this occasion we didn't take our 11yr old daughter..but if we had she would have loved the animation girl..who to us seemed to go out of her way to make us feel welcome...a credit to the hotel. The only problen is with the Saga generation gap..when they are there ..it might seem a bit an older crowd..but we met great people of our own age...and had party!..party!..as Antonio would say!..On the whole we would recomend this hotel...but its what you make it!...john and nicky..England

What a week! me and my girlfriend stayed here for a week in the summer last year, there was building work going on right left and centre, the staff were ignorant pigs and to top it all off the maids had itchy fingers, stealing £20 from my jeans and my girlfriends diamond earings.
We went to reception and they said they couldnt speak english although when I mentioned Policia he was fluent!! nothing was done about it by the way!
bus ride was hot and terrible, food was like rubber so we ate out every night it was the worst £600 I ever spent.
Terrible Hotel avoid it at all costs!

Small, nice hotel, excellent food and staff are friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this hotel. I brought my two children at half term and we had an enjoyable week, despite a couple of rainy days.
The initial room faced the building works and my younger boy(11) found the couch uncomfortable to sleep on. "Chatted" with reception and they helpfully offered a room with an extra bed and bedroom - still facing the building works but this suited us far better!
On the roof of the hotel was a badminton net - really good fun despite the prevailing breeze. Also table tennis was there - we took our own bats and played with other guests from different countries. Watch out for the Danes, they enjoy a challenge! Luckily my older boy upheld the family honour.
The gym equipment, though quiet varied, was in bad repair. We played tennis($6) at the local sport centre (10 mins walk turn left at the seafront, 1st left walk up the hill past the big hotel). That also had a nice looking gym, lane swimming, squash courts we didn't use. They were strict about white soles for the squash court so we played tennis in the rain but we are used to that!
The animation was organised by Susan from Austria and was a good way of getting to talk to other guests from various countries - Germany, Somerset, Checks, Yorkshire, Poland, UK, Denmark, Norway ...., Susan was great and even managed to charm my boys. During the rain she organised a useful Spanish lesson "Una cerveza grande por favor". Watch how you pronounce "solo" though - she gets scary correcting that! If you meet her suggest playing bingo and choose a tricky language to call the numbers in ... she may laugh!
Everyone around the pool is friendly so don't be shy about speaking to your neighbours. The evening entertainment could have been better but the beer is good and the barman very friendly - didn't catch the names but the guy who calls everyone Captain has some good stories.
Beach has black sand which is off-putting at first but is really superb with good breakers. Lifeguard was strict about no playing football. Lots of people recommended a stroll down to Los Gigantos. (Don't be confused like me and slog your way up to the ridge - its all road walk with lorries streaming by so I gave up after the spot for viewing the whales. )
Overall it is excellent value for money and it is set in a nice quiet part of Tenerife.

Have just returned from a weeks holiday with two friends at Lagos de Cesar. After reading several reports before we went was not sure what to expect but we were most pleasantly surprised. We were impressed with the overall cleanliness the cleaners never stopped, the pool was cleaned every day, the pool area hosed down, sun beds washed, rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels daily and clean sheets mid week.
Our friends reported not having a fridge in their room as we went out, came back one had been put in. People had complained about the food why? There is a good selection of hot and cold food three times a day in the restaurant and you can help yourself to as much as you want. The staff cleared our plates away as soon as we had finished. The pool bar was open from 10.30 to 7.30 with soft drinks and beer on tap even optics to help yourselves to, a fridge with pizzas, cheese and ham to make toasted sandwiches, fresh fruit, ice creams cakes and everyday we were there chips with something, also a coffee machine was available.
We were all inclusive and certainly didn't lack anything. Rooms were big, a lounge area, bathroom with shower even a hairdryer in it. The air con units worked well and are included in the price. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the entertainment man on organ who is a regular is pretty dire and he played to a near empty room. But when they had outside entertainment in it was excellent especially Johnny Circus.
Overall it is excellent value for money although it is set in a quieter part of Tenerife you must know that when you book.

Excellent hotel, excellent food and staff are more than welcoming.
I would recommend this hotel. I brought my two children in term time and as they were the only children there, everybody made them feel very welcome especially Ben and Alex.
The hotel is in the more quite area so you do not get hounded like in most places in Tenerife.
There is building going on at the rear of the hotel but saying this, it did not affect the holiday as you could not hear any of this work going on.

I was a little disturbed by what I had read about the Hotel Lagos de Cesar on the internet, but decided to go with an open mind and hope for the best. I was pleasantly surprised.
I thought the hotel was set in lovely surroundings and was very easy on the eye. As we entered the lobby area, we were met by what looked like marble floors, seating areas soft music playing, very friendly staff, a computer with internet access and two telephone booths, as well as plenty of information about places of interest.
The elevators were a bit small but there were two of them, and they were very clean and presentable. The hotel itself was very bright and airy. The room was lovely, comfortable bed, a separate sitting room both joined by a large balcony with patio doors. There was a fridge for mini bar facilities and plenty of storage, separated from the bed area by lovely lattice wood work. There was also a room service facility for lunch or dinner options. The bathroom was a good size with bath/shower, bidet and hair dryer.
Complimentary toiletries were supplied and replaced when used. Towels were replaced regularly and rooms kept immaculately clean by a daily maid service. The restaurant was lovely with genuinely pleasant staff, and had a good selection of food on display each day for breakfast lunch and dinner, with in my opinion plenty of choice. There is a lovely roof recreation area with great views, a small gym, nice pool area with a bar and seating area, as well as a pool table for the more adventurous.
Some kind of evening entertainment was put on each day of the week, with a what’s on and when clearly displayed on a notice board in the lobby. On Friday/Saturday the entertainment is usually more substantial. There were at least two more bars in the hotel. If there was anything I would change or improve upon, it would be to heat the pool, additional heating in the rooms if it gets a little chilly in the evenings, although they are air conditioned which does work.
There is some building work – a new hotel I think - going on in the back ground of the hotel, which may bother some people by disturbing their view, I was one of those people, so with the assistance of the receptionist I paid a small fee and transferred to a sea/pool view room. There seems to be a small charge for a garden view room also. I had a very enjoyable stay. Lovely hotel, staff, food, shopping facilities, views, walks.
