This hotel does not live up to a four star rating. The rooms are small and the MFI type wardrobe quite insufficient with no other storage. The dining room was chaotic with too few staff. The staff themselves were lovely but had no proper supervision. Our room overlooked the back of the kitchen so there was a lot of noise. The situation of the hotel is beautiful but the resort is flooded with day trippers. Would not go back to either the hotel or the resort.

Travelling alone I was pleased to find a 4* hotel who didn't charge a single supplement and had single rooms available. This was a big mistake! The single rooms in this hotel are all right next to the kitchen and the "balcony" is a fenced off bit of the kitchen courtyard where the vans park, staff leave bikes and scooters and take cigarette breaks. To try and screen it slightly the hotel has put in netting and plants although it ends up feeling like camouflage netting - not a nice feel for a 4* holiday.
The single room was certainly not of 4* quality - the wardrobe couldn't open properly as the doors hit the bottom of the bed - the bed was not even as big as a standard single but narrower. I hardly had daylight and even in bright sun needed the lights on in the room. The room was reasonably clean as was the bathroom although this too was very small and barely adequate.
The pool was immaculately clean and as long as it was good weather I could sit there to avoid my room - a nice place to spend a lazy day. The terrace was also very nice and a relaxing place to sit and gaze out at the lake. The staff were mostly helpful but it all felt a bit impersonal.
All in all extremely disappointing for a 4* hotel - the room would have been disappointing in a 2* hotel. I wouldn't recommend this unless you could guarantee a room with a lake view perhaps.
