This hotel in the attractive area of Trastevere is modern and stylish yet comfortable. I found the hotel by searching on the Internet and the site had good pictures and useful information about the area.
A special offer room rate was found on a different site and on arrival at the hotel the room rate was exactly as had been booked even though the website booked through was that the hotels own. When a problem with the air conditioning in our first room occurred the staff moved us to another, better room without any problem and with the minimum of fuss. As stated above, the hotel had a very modern and stylish appearance, it would be easy to imagine a supermodel strolling through the lobby at any moment!
Yet despite appearances the hotel was very suitable for a traveller on a budget like myself, the price was very good value. The staff were generally helpful but didn’t exactly go out of their way for anything. The hotel was comfortable but seemed to mainly be frequented by business people on work trips and so the atmosphere was not great.
The exact location of the hotel was not the most attractive but the area of Trastevere was delightful, with many interesting streets and piazzas to explore and some great value restaurants. Access to the main attractions of Rome was easy enough by tram or by foot if you’re not scared of a little exercise. Overall, smart and stylish, great value and in a charming area of the capital, if not the friendliest hotel in the world. Recommended.
