At first it felt like we were allocated the smallest & nosiest room in the entire hotel. We had practically no sleep for the first two nights. However the staff did move us to another room, which was much better in terms of size & separated from any other rooms. It still wasn't totally quiet though due to noisy TV's & being close to the receptions thoroughfare.
If you are staying for more than one night then I advise that you request a quiet room, as we were there for 5 nights in total.
The staff I would like to praise is Dario & Nuri, they were most obliging & very approachable people, not to mention empathetic in regards to our bad experience being in room 37.
I don't think we would go back to the Hotel Galeno due to the above experience. There was also no hot water left on the second morning as we were told by Fabritzio that all the other hotel guests had used up the supply. So we had to wait for over an hour to for the water to heat up again.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dario & Nuri again as they are true people persons'.
Cheers
