Express By Holiday Inn San Giovanni Hotel

Although it takes a little finding the search is worth the wait. The staff speak good English and are very helpful. The rooms are new and very clean, spacious and tidy. There can be a little noise from the nearby railway lines but the rooms are double glazed and in all honestly the limited noise is not an issue.
The breakfast is plentiful and varied and served in a light airy dining room overlooking the interior courtyard. We booked the Holiday Inn as we had heard horror stories of low quality hotels masquerading as better establishments and did not want to be disappointed for a short break. We got what we wanted and expected and would use the same hotel again when we return as we surely will as its a magical city.
