" This was a really funky hotel right... "

This was a really funky hotel right next to the Termini - so it was very easy to find. It is ultra modern and may not be to some people's taste.

We are normally quite traditional but this hotel was so much fun. Check-in was a little bit of a wait, but it wasn't a major problem.

The room was brilliant! You have to see it to understand but the window was floor to ceiling and had a remotely operated blind. The wall light was like a deflated balloon that inflated when you turned it on.

The bed was really comfy with lovely white duvets and pillows. The controls for the blinds and all the windows were by the headboard so you could be really lazy!

The shower was in a frosted glass cubicle behind the bed and the toilet door was frosted glass too, so if you are a little inhibited or are on a romantic break just getting to know someone you might find it a little strange!

The floor was like a rubber material and all springy - strange but nice to walk on and the shower could have been a little more powerful. But we really enjoyed the fact it was so different.

On the 7th Floor was the restaurant with an outside area with two swimming pools. It was a little bit too chilly to swim, but sitting out there in the glorious sunshine was perfect.

You could sit and look at all of the aerials on the rooftops and see the beautiful buildings. The food was very nice although quite expensive, as was the mini bar!

My recommendation would be that you get a room that overlooks the inner courtyard and not over the train station as it is noisier. We went for the inner courtyard and it was so peaceful.

The staff were helpful but in the inimitable Italian way! I would definitely go back for another stay. It was within walking distance of the Coliseum as well.
