We have been to this hotel for the past two years and are going again in May. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this establishment, for the price you pay it's fantastic. The staff are brilliant, can't do enough for you.
Looking forward to seeing Ike and all the staff again soon.

We didn't expect luxury from this Turkish 3star hotel and we certainly didn't get it. The room was basic as we knew it would be but the shower didn't work, most of the time there was no hot water and only one plug socket worked. The small glimpse we had of the food... more

My initial impression of the Hotel Atac was that it was a very simple hotel. Bed, bathroom. However, given that when you go on holiday you only want a shower and a sleep from your hotel room, the simplicity of it wasn't an issue. The room was clean, and had everything you... more

Having read mostly good reviews and some bad reviews about this place I booked our holiday to stay at Hotel Atac with Thomas Cook thinking it would be OK. The hotel is located very close to the beach and many bars and restaurants but that's about all it has going for it.... more

brilliant
We went stayed at the atac hotel in may when we first arrived we was a bit shocked but as we entered we saw what a lovely hotel it was. There is not a lot to do for the kids but it is very peaceful staff was really friendly and the people we are going back there in october because it was brilliant
Superb and great friendly staff!
Myself and girlfriend arrivd back from Turkey yesterday after staying at the Atac (prounounced Atach) hotel. On first arrival, tired and exhausted having only 3 hours sleep in 30 hours, we were greeted by the friendly staff at reception and one of the staff brought our bags in from the coach and then brougth them upstairs for us. The reception was marble floored with pillars, opening out onto 2 outdoor swimming pools/bars and an indoor bar. Comfy seating and a toilet was also downstairs as well as the breakfast hall. The room was 4th floor, room 404 with a sliding patio door opening onto a small balcony. All rooms have air con for an extra cost £20 for 2 weeks, however we managed without. The room was quite basic, queen size bed, 1 white bedsheet with a thicker white cotton blanket/topsheet, but spotless. The cleaners themselves friendly and even went to the trouble of lining up our shoes each day! The view from the room was the pool, and out over the beach, the sea and the other side of the bay. At night, with everything lit up, and even daylight was beautiful! The bathroom was clean, marble sink, shower (no shower curtain but this is normal) and toilet. THe water or the shower a little unpredictable due to the nature of ALL the buildings in Turkey using solar power to heat the water. Cleaned everyday - not the best bathroom I've ever been in, but after visiting many restaurants in the area, certainly one of the better ones. Breakfast as mentioned somewhere else on this page was a little "strange." But we later found this was the standard Turkish breakfast served at all hotels. Omlette, fried egg or boiled eggs, the most tasty fresh bread, honey, fresh orange, tea/coffee and a selection of cheeses, meat, veg etc. On a final note, the staff are superb. The friendliest people we've ever met. Helpful and welcoming. We made some friends all across Altinkum with the locals, all the people are great. I'd have no hestiation going back there, if not for the place, but just for the people. One more thing to help people - Restaurants here work with tips 5- 10% the norm, but when a 2 course meals with drinks can cost as little as £10 its not really a problem. The food everywhere is totally superb!!
The atac hotel, a fabulous place to be
This was simply one of the best holidays that i have ever had all staff made you feel welcome, the rooms were cleaned regularly, weather was fantastic, what else can you ask for. This was my first time ever in turkey, and as soon as i came back i was Booking up for september to go back to the atac hotel. so you boys behind the bar, watch out cos were coming back! Love ya's loads xxxx
HORRENDOUS
Going on earlier reviews we booked the Hotel Atac. It was disgusting. Filthy toilet. Old fashioned bathroom. Nothing worked properly. Water from tap dark brown. I know you cannot drink the water in Turkey but I didn't even want to wash my face in dark water that looked like tea. No hot water whatsoever and I doubt if the shower (if that is what you want to call it) worked any way. A very old fashioned hose coming out of the wall. Everywhere smelt very musty. Carpet sticky through age and dirt.Everything was old and needs renewing and refurbishing. We arrived late and left the following morning. Breakfast was unbelievable, fruit juice a couple of hard boiled eggs, that was it basically. We didn't even unpack our case and left in the same clothes we arrived in as too dirty to have a proper wash. We booked into the 'Garden of Sun Hotel' which is brand new and was fantastic. In its favour the people at The Atac Hotel were lovely but the hotel was not. Would no way recommend it.
fantastic holiday of my life
i went to turkey for the first time in 2002 and i been going back to turkey ever since and stayed at the atac hotel all staff was friendly and tony wanted me to live there because he wanted me to work behind the bar with and go places with him. night clubs are fantastic all food is nice and if anyone as chance go into the bar called linkers fan and entertainment
best holiday yet
the hotel atac was superb we have already booked for next year this time a party of 12 the staff top draw tony what can i say wont go to bed till everyone else has 2 pools u want a great holiday you have to stay at atac sheets changed every other day beds made every day rooms cleaned daily where else would you get this kind of care yes i say care rather than service cos thats what it is
Nice clean hotel
A nice clean hotel. Rooms a good size. Don't change your money there as they don't give you what they say. Staff became a bit ignorant and snide when we wouldn't eat there. Maids do a fantastic job always polite ( needless to say they got a big tip when we left).
Tony the barman
Had the best holiday ever - mainly thanks to Tony. He looked after my two daughters like they were his own. He took us into his home and he is in our hearts! Can't wait to go back. Hotel Atac - is basic but friendly. It is situated at the quieter end of town, but this wasnt problem. Lots of Brits use hotel however we also made friends with some young German guys staying there. Advice - get your towels on the sunbeds early!
this is a hotel you must see....
two pools....the barman tony is great... a perfect gentleman and a great laugh..the maids are perfect the rooms are always spotless.......mr atac is a great man.......all the waiters are a good laugh i cannot say how high i rate this hotel....perfect...
