Donatello Hotel

Rome is fantastic and is everything I thought it would be. We stayed in the Hotel Donatello and although it was small it was very clean and the staff are extremely friendly (It is a family run hotel). The hotel is barely a fifteen-minute walk away from the station, which has an easy connection to the airport(Fuimicino). Walking is the preferred way to travel as there is so much traffic and you need to avoid the traffic jams to be able to see all the sights.
Be prepared with a good map but to be honest if you get lost it doesn’t matter because that way you stumble upon some of the best things in Rome. A must is a climb up to the very top of St Peter’s Dome, although it is not for the faint hearted as it is 551 steps to the top you will have one of the most spectacular views of all Rome.
Rome seems to make you feel romantic and chic and brings back memories of favourite films like Roman Holiday and even if you don’t throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain you will definitely want to go back.
