Absolutely Amazing

We went to Ersan for 2 weeks in July 2010 and found it to be fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The best staff were on Customer relations. Very Good!
The cleanliness of the hotel was above and beyond excellent. Always cleaners on site.
The animation team were all very good, especially Alisa, Dima, Gulsah, Funda and Emre. The entertainment was good and all of them were fantastic with the children.
The childrens club was amazing and they were always kept indoors in air-conditioned room.
The food was brilliant. So much to choose from, and the wonderful displays of food made by the chefs were amazing. The head chef was always on hand and out on the restaurant floor.
Enjoyed the cheese and bread being brought round on the beach! For those who couldn't be bothered to walk, there was a little car that went around the massive resort.
We are saving to come back again this year! From Jodie, Kieran and Madison.

Very clean hotel, out of the way but close enough to Bodrum to make it viable. Only thing that let the hotel down was the restuarant which was badly run and not a nice place to be. Although all inclusive the hotel made this experience difficult by charging in all but one bar. In conclusion there are better hotels with better locations, find them.

what a horrible holiday we had , we paid for a fun family holiday and what did we get no entertainment , hostility by the staff, we were not made to feel welcome at all. the food was disgusting , the room was not as we paid for and requested the air con was rubbish . the pool area which was our only entertainment may i add was a health hazard due to red slippy tiles and broken wooden tiles with rusty nails sticking out in more than one place and whilst relaxing on the sun lounger one afternoon i sat up to find two mice running around behind me. the complex was potentially beautiful and quite big but boy it was missing so much. all inclusive did not mean that as you had to pay at most of the bars and restaurants and the only bar that was free was small packed and scruffy and the staff were horrible. i feel we were wrongly informed about this holiday and have brought this to thomas cooks attention. we were not the only family to complain either another british couple we met and became good friends with were devasted with the way they were treat i left the mam in tears on our last day as they had another week to go and wanted a transfer as it was that bad.the only good thing was the weather it was lovely and hot but im afraid that was it .

these are the only good points. the hotel and the food are nice and the rooms are good apart from the appliances in them that all fall to peices, leak or burn you. the bad points are. kids club is nearly non existant unlike how thomas cook describe it in their broucher. its all inclusive is only availabe at a few set times during the day so food is not available like it should be, you cant make your self a pack up if your going out for the day. there is only one bar you can get very limited alcohol from all day. the alcohol is seriously watered down every one was complaining. the hotel staff are ignorant and unfriendly. there are few tiolets and they are miles away from where you need them. the entertainment for families in te evening is absolutely disgusting do not take your kids to it, people we leaving as they simulate sex scenes and are taking there clothes off most of the time, even the belgums were complaining. ERSAN IS THE WORST ALL INCLUSIVE RUN HOTEL GOING. THE THOMAS COOK REP IS TOTALLY RUBBISH TOO

Jul 2008, Mr Ken Sives

Just back from Club Ersan Resort & Spa - July 2008. First time in Turkey, and wondered what to expect, given the mixed opinions on this hotel on this and other sites.
Arrived at 0630 in the morning into Bodrum airport and went outside for our "booked" transfer to Club Ersan. Sorry you are not on our list! However, that said, the Turkish man directing the transfers for all companies seemed to think this was an oversight and promptly put us on a bus with one other family, which took us slowly to Club Ersan inside 40 minutes. First impressions were that the Hotel is far bigger than its website would have you believe (in a good way) and after a brief discussion with the receptionist about whether we were booked or not (make sure you have documents to prove you have booked to stay), checked us in and the concierge took our cases onto a "golf buggy" and put my wife in the front with him and me and nephew balanced on the top of the cases in the back! Health and safety doesn't apply in Turkey! The receptionists all speak good English, and are very helpful, as is the concierge.
Our room was about 3 minutes walk from reception, once we found the "quick way". Clean, tidy, spacious, one small thing was that the bed for nephew was a smallish "camp bed" which was not that comfy. Possible to get another bed at cost of €80 week. Decided not to bother and in the end, he was fine. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed every day. Had to phone reception to order loo rolls now and again, but that was my only complaint on the housekeeping front.
To quickly move on as this is turning into War and Peace, first morning for breakfast. Not sure what to expect, large buffet style dining room, with plenty seats (depending on times you go for breakfast/lunch/dinner/tea). We found, around 8.30 for breakfast, after 1 for lunch and sort of 7-7.15pm for dinner were best times. Good selection, cereals, breads, cold selection, hot "fry up", and many pastries etc. Only one small point would be that milk was not that cold, mind you being 42+ degrees outside, this is probably to be expected. Tea and coffee is on the far side of the dining room, beside the juice machine which was with orange, cherry, apple etc - these needed watering down, be warned.
As has been said, you need to be up fairly early to grab a sunbed beside the pools, but we found that if you were down around 8ish, you were fine. Lots and lots of Belgians and eastern European people, very few Irish/British, but a few - you just have to listen to find them! Main pool, good size but our favourite was the infinity pool, more space and closer to sea for swimming/snorkelling. Tended to get a bit windy in the afternoons, but this was much appreciated, given the heat. Pools are good, lots of room and a nice temperature.
We visited the Spa for the "peel" and foam bath - highly recommended (€120 for three of us) - you need to do this!!!! You feel so clean, and it is very relaxing - do it at start of your hols as you get a better tan as all the dead skin has been removed. Also saves you from peeling (allegedly!)
Lunches/Dinners, good selection of hot/cold/sweets etc - mixture of turkey (from Turkey!), chicken, fish, lamb, pasta, meats, etc etc. Just what you would expect in a foreign country. Severe lack of fresh fruit - melon melon and more melon. Thought a few bananas/apples/oranges etc would be there but didnt see any in our week.
Entertainment, what can I say - OOPSERLA! Some of it was so funny, some of just bad. All in all, the entertainers do well, hats off to them. Hard to have 5star shows every night - we enjoyed "Showtime" very much.
Drinks - mmmm - what can I say. Everything is served in small plastic cups. Filled half with vodka/gin/brandy etc - you feel like you are being poisoned. Too much in the size of cups. Complaint about this would be that only one bar stays open all day - the others shut/are payable. The "open" bar is about 5 minutes walk from the infinity pool, your beer/drinks are hot by the time you get them back to the beach/pool. One advantage of lying at the main pool (if you can get a sunbed!).
All in all, a great holiday, Turkey was an experience, good though. Need to go back to see more of what's round about, Dolmus bus excellent and cheap, taxis a bit more expensive (say 40 lira to Bodrum against 2lira on Dolmus).
To sum up, would go back again most definitely, beautiful location, good food, drink, hotel very clean and tidy. Out of ten, overakll, probably a nine.

When we arrived at the hotel we were met by very friendly staff, after we checked in we was showen to our rooms and our cases were delivered to the room a few minutes later.
The rooms were very clean and tidy. We had maid service everyday, the towels and bedding was changed regularly.
On our first night we walked around the complex to find our bearings, as the complex is so big it does take a few days.
Throughout the day there is plenty of activities for children and adults - water polo, aqua aerobics, darts, pool competitions, basketball, football, dancing lessons, yoga and plenty more.
In the evening there is a childrens disco then entertainment. The entertainment changed every night, there was dance competitions, Mr Club Ersan, comedy nights, professional dancers it varied through the week.
The swimming pool and the beach areas were very clean and tidy, all the staff were polite and helpful.
On the resort is a watersport activity centre, the staff were very friendly and the activities were very good especially the boat trip but some activities were cheaper outside the hotel resort.
We could not complain about the food there was so much to choose from.
Breakfast - bread, cereals, sauted potatoes egg, frankfurter sausages, salad.
Lunch - salad, burger, kebabs, chips, fish, cakes and melons.
Dinner - salad, meat, rice, pasta, pizza, potatoes, soup, bread, cakes and melons.
Also you can book into an Italian or Turkish resturant which is on the resort.
The all inclusive drinks are juice, water, coke, fanta, beer, wine, gin, vodka and cocktail (gin, vodka and juice). These are only served till 12 and if you have not got your drinks by dead on 12 they will close the shutters even when there is a queue.
There is a disco bar which is open til 2 o'clock but the disco bar is not free. The drinks are very expensive. We had a malibu and coke, vodka and coke and it cost us 30 lira (which is about £13). Also be careful as they try to charge it to your room number instead of you paying for each drink. So when you leave you have to pay the bill in one go.
Our only negatives of this holiday was you can only get your free drinks from one bar in the evening, so if you are watching the entertainment you have to walk half way across the resort to get a drink which is about a 5 minute walk.
Apart from this it was a fantastic holiday, a stunning location with amazing views. All the staff were very nice they work long hours but always make a big effort.
I would recommend this holiday to families, couples, anyone who wants a chilling holiday. If you wanted a lively night in Bodrum the dolmas (buses) start from outside the hotel it only takes 5 minutes and only costs 2 lira.

The best holiday and hotel I have had in a while. Well worth the money.

Just spent 1 week A/I - food excellent - hotel very clean - staff very friendly.
Only criticism could do with better entertainment at night.
Would certainly recommend this hotel and would go back again.
We were a party of 6 adults and all very satisfied.

Well we arrived early hours in the morning to find such a friendly reception desk wich showed us across to the meating room!
First impressions were brilliant!
After the meating they showed us to are lovley clean rooms! I have seen such complaints of the arrivals saying its all dark when you walk in well... think about who has there hotel lit up brightly at 6:00 am???
Moving on to our first day well it took an hour or two to get used to the place but not because it was small because it was a huge place anyway all three pools no complaints what so ever the clenliness of them was brilliant! The flume was unsupervised wich doesn't matter because it is safe!
The Beach was brilliant and i just loved the entertainers walking past screaming out volleyball or footaball wich is moving me on to entertainment wich was amazing in the morning a series of pool games and events would beging and in the afternoon such things as vollaeyball would begin then its the night show wich is actulay better than you would think with a brilliant set of entertainers wich always preform brilliantly !
Rooms were good as ever clean, smelt nice ,looked very good...but the romm cleaning does start about 10:30 wich is early for me lol
Food and Drinks were good
Cola,Fanta,Lemonade,Sprite,orange,freshorange,grap,apple,
Beer,cocktails,vodka,wines,turkish bevs
were all included wich was very nice to know you could take a stroll to the bar get about six cola and say ... 6 beers and they would have to give you it because well... its inclusive!
The breakfast was nothing too great but the lunch and dinner was a huge choice at buffes and othere types of reastraunts!
Reservation dinners were amazingly nice served up so quickly after the order yet so much nicer than you tought it would be!
I rate the hotel 10/10 go there it is amazing!
Give planet yucca a go too it was fantastic

Just got back from 1 week all inclusive. Clean and basic accommodation with air con thank god (49 degrees due to local heat wave).
Entertainment was ok during day if you were in pool but at night nothing, only two bars and one of them shut at 11pm other one charged for drinks after 12 (ALL inclusive?) local drinks must be watered down or about 1% as my wife doesn’t normally drink and after 8 vodka cokes still sober as a judge!
Watch out for hidden charges like cushions for sunbeds, charged to room (ALL inclusive?). Food average and repetitive, not much for kids apart from warm chips & cakes of unknown composition (not bad though if you like cake).
Bodrum nice an easily accessible by dolmus.
You can’t walk to anywhere from hotel as its in middle of nowhere and nearest thing is a boatyard that is a real shock when you arrive as you think you are going to stay in an industrial estate.
If you do put items on your room card check daily, as they get it wrong again & again and you end up being charged for someone else’s purchase. I wouldn`t stay there again and the locals call it the" all inclusive prison".
If you want a nice place to go try to find a hotel in Turgutreis (spelling might be off) its 30 mins away from bodrum on dolmus but a nice marina type tourist spot with great bars& restaurants and a canny market on Saturdays.
We went on a trip to the market and liked it so much we found our own way there the next two days. Give this place a miss and try elsewhere, Turkey is great but this place isn’t.
