just returned from a 2 week stay be prepared for alot of steps. pools are ok. would not recommend the food as it is very repetative. rooms ok. entertainment could be better as there is not alot to do. very steep steps and hills no ideal for pushchairs. if you want a sunbed be prepared to get up at 5 am in the morning as the ruddians tend to tak over the sunbeds.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ISHOULD BE A 2 STAR NOT A 4 STAR PLUS.

Although the start of the holiday was not good, we arrived at 12pm and were given some random story about a russian family and a baby and a hospital.... anyway the out come was we had no room until 5.30 am... we were not impressed.. anyway a few issues later we found ourselves having a great time, it was friendly and there were an array of international families there. The entertainment team were good at intergrating the different nationalities, and our daughter and nephew both aged 16 met people from all over the globe. This was not the standard of hotel we have stayed in the past, but ha definate potential, a little bit of snagging required management, like the broken tiles around the pool, etc. The hotel is not for the light hearted as the thousands of steps and heart attack hills were an absolute killer. We had a great holiday and thanks to the numerous families that we met, and the careful eye of some of the entertainment staff our children had a safe and wonderful time. The food was repetative, and could have been better but it would not be enough to put me off.
A big HI to oki speedy and messie and gang!!! also all the NIGHTCLUB gang from july 11 thanks for making our holiday a great one!

My teenage daughters and I have just returned from a week (probably not long enough) at the BHR. Great resort - huge - took us a few days to find our way around. Three pools plus a private piece of the sea. No beach but didn't matter. Food was very high standard .. the buffet tables were heaving with choice .. the salads in particular were delicious. We booked a family room - very spacious with good views. It wasn't available when we arrived at 0630 hrs and we had to wait until 1300 hrs to access it. Frustrating but the hotel allowed us a very late checkout at no extra cost as compensation. Only warning - definitely not for anyone with buggies or wheelchairs to push. The resort is built into the side of a steep hill and there are steps, steps everywhere. Can be exhausting, particularly in the heat. Other than that, we would highly recommend the BHR and left it planning to return.

My friends and I went in May 2010, the hotel was lovely and the food was very good indeed, with lots of choice to suit everyone. We had an excellent holiday! The staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Our rooms in the main part of the hotel were beautifully decorated, sparkling bathrooms and very spacious. We also had a look at the club rooms up by the top pool, these were newly done out to a very high standard and nobody could have been unhappy with them. We did go the 1st week of the season and there weren't many guests in the hotel but it was fully staffed. Not everything was open - the aqua park wasn't running and there was limited evening entertainment but this was all picking up nicely before we left. A lot of the furnishings appeared to be brand new, the hotel is clearly under new management and a lot of effort has been made to bring it up to scratch. The Spa is just stunning.
This is a really big hotel, occupying most of a hillside, so be warned there are an awful lot of steps to negotiate and things like the a la carte restaurants, disco and auditorium are a fair hike from most rooms. You can find shortcuts and ways to get around once you have your bearings and have worked out the lift system. There is no beach as such, it is more of a boardwalk by the sparkly clean sea.

Aug 2009. Here is my list of First the good points.
1.The water jetties with a nice breeze (there is no beach at Belizia) fantastic for relaxing.
2.Water sports activities and the staff are great just get them something to eat and a bottle of cold water from upstairs as they are not allowed to help themselves to food, this will buy a very long time on the water sports .
As for the hotel room the family suite is massive, big master room, big room two single bed with a big living area plus big balcony area.
3.Some staff are good but this very rare, but you will find them given time.
The bad points
Try and a get a sun bed before sunrise.
4.Other foreigners and staff will test your patients at the bar area (I only experienced this during the day. After I got to know some of the staff it was not so bad.
5.I complained to hotel in house manager of the drinks machines by the chicken kebab bar not being cleaned on a daily basis “management will look into it”, for the whole two weeks it was not cleaned. (even after the top boss walked passed and did an inspection one day)
6.The fridge does not work in your room so the limited drinks the norm is 2 still water 1 sparkling are warm, no alcohol at all.
7.Breakfast if you like your breakfast, get up early and you will get it fresh with some cooked for you.
8.Breakfast if you like your breakfast late, you will get the cold slops. Believe me.
9. The MAIN Restaurant (Pontins canteen) be prepared for the cold, repeated, hustle and bustle. If you like your chips, prepare to queue for a long time.
10.Food. Be prepared, bread great, the rest? You will see it at breakfast and if it is not eaten, you will see in another form at lunch and another form at tea and same second week. The BBQ on certain nights sometime it can be not to your liking, i.e. bbq spicy liver.
11.Customer services at the hotel none existent.
12.Your holiday rep promises they can resolve things with hotel management and they have had no previous problems reported with other guests (this is Turkey the management are not interested). Wait till you see the queue.
13.This is a massive Hotel on a massive hill be fit or you will be at the end
14.Not for prams or old people.
15.Entertainment well what a load of crap.
16.Night time get ready to queue for your all inclusive drink. pne type of beer 1/2 pint lager the rest very cheap sirirts (one member of staff severing all night)
17.Oh forgot one more thing air con it’s a so so in your room, but in the hotel the air con is only available is the lobby but after 8pm only (try asking them to switch the air con). So if you’re a late night flight you will sweat your b**** waiting for your coach.
18.Could go on but what the hell, just wanted to tell the truth.
19.Oh one more thing booked one of the main restaurants one night, went in all dressed up with my wife and two teenage girls, no booking was made for us? Yes a another crap night ended up bodrum town.

This was my best holiday ever, dont listen to people that complain about the food, if you go to turkey you dont expect english food, thye should have booked up for butlins or something, we arrived throught the night and went to our room, our room was stop on! it was perfectly clean and had a lot of space, we also had a great veiw, the food was nice they done kebabs and burgers chips steak fruit salad rice and english breakfasts, i would still rate the food a 10, i met alot of moany people but they just complains abowt little things they were snobs tbh!. All of the staff were very helpful and they are so kind :) they have great entertainment for the children and even the adults, throught the day you have a lot of things to do, the peddle boats ect are all free and they do a lot of water sports which are really fun. I would recomand this holiday to anyone, not old people as its quite steep hills alothought u can go throught the hotel and not disabled people as there is a few stairs. I enjoy this holiday so much i have even booked up for this year and i know 100% i will contine to go 2 this holiday every year :)
thanksyou i hope yous all take my advise.

was most concered after reading reviews on this hotel, granted we went in the quieter season, the location great and we got a great room with a fantastic view,we found the food good we have been in turkey a few times so are happy with there cuisine, you could here a few brits complaining there was no chips, small minded people who dont want change, plenty salad, lots of bread and a nice variety of hot food.there are 3 pools and one indoor, use of the sauna and gym and a small water park.okay there is not a full variety of drinks, but enough to find something you like.the local dolmus runs all day so easy to go into bodrum.the only thing a felt let it down was the so called entertainment there was a few things going on at the pool during the day but a night half a hour at the amphitheatre was all that was on offer it was so bad we walked out but we were happy siting drinking.overall was good and we all enjoyed our stay

After reading reviews on this hotel I was quite concerned prior to our holiday 2 families with boys aged 12, 12 & 8. We had a room upgrade which we organised at booking so we were situated within the hotel the room was lovely. Our friends had an initial few problems which were then resolved easily by getting another room without any hassle. Location was good with panoramic views overlooking the sea, however as the brochure stipulates it is very hilly so anyone with mobility problems should choose elsewhere. The food was very good with an abundance of choice, people complained of the plates being small and long queues etc. All I can say is the staff worked so hard and were pleasant at all times what is the problem with some english folk? Like the rest of all inclusive resorts we wanted to eat out on a couple of occasions so we went to the hong kong restaurant in bodrum it was fantastic you must go; if you ask the clinician within the doctor's office he will organise it for you with free taxi there and back. We then went to Curly's restaurant where the food was good, however; beware they offered free taxi and then demanded money from us on return to hotel!! Overall, excellent holiday would go back, no problem, must experience Bodrum, plus market on tues am so cheap, first time in Turkey and it won't be the last.

I have just spent 20 minutes reading the reviews for the Belizia. We came home in the early hours of Tuesday morning after having a fantastic time there. The staff were on the whole happy, courteous and extremely friendly. Our Rep. 'Nemo' was awsome. She was there whenever anyone needed her, and always had time for a chat. She was fab and did not deserve some of the hassle guests were giving her. There was plenty to do, we made loads of friends. Food was okay, bread gorgeous. I am fussy but still managed to put 5lbs on. Not once did I ever see a kitten or cat in the restaurant. The evening entertainment was fine and the drinks were plentiful. I went with my husband and 2 sons aged 15 and 10 and we will have many memories of our time there. I feel disappointed that people are critising their stay there, you do not go on holiday to look for problems, you pay a lot of money and make the most of it. We did not need to make the most of it, we had a ball.
