Prior to a well planned visit to Venice in September I chose to stay at the Locanda Vivaldi following a lot of research. I stayed for 3 nights with a party of 9 friends and I cannot fault the hotel in anyway.



I booked the hotel direct and contacted them by email; they always responded the same day and spoke extremely good English as did all the staff during our stay. They were extremely helpful with advice and directions and were happy to book events for us before our arrival and during our stay.



The hotel is small and intimate. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed and most had stunning views overlooking the lagoon. The hotel has a small roof top terrace with restaurant and bar which although smaller than the famous Daniele hotel, has the same views and in my opinion has better service and prices so weather permitting, take advantage of an early evening drink while watching the sun set over the lagoon which is truly stunning.



The location is ideal being just a short 5 minute walk along the lagoon to St Marks Square. Great shopping is just around the corner. It is conveniently opposite the waterbus stops and from the same spot you can get a boat to the islands of Burano and Torcello. Breakfast offers a great variety from fresh fruit and cereal to eggs, cake, croissants and toast, all very fresh and you can eat as much as you desire. Locanda Vivaldi is a hotel I will definitely return to.

This beautiful little hotel was a real find. Fantastic attentive service from everyone and it even had it's own little bar/night club in a separate building.



Only 5 minutes walk, if that, from St Mark's Square and with a fantastic view.



Our room had a whirlpool bath and all the usual extras (mini bar, TV, toiletries etc) but the best touch was not only a chocolate on the pillow, but also a weather forecast for the following day. Would thoroughly recommend.
