Hotel doesn’t have a lift, our room was on the 1st floor overlooking the canal with a small balcony, rooms small, but very clean, mini bar (reasonable charges) TV (bad reception) small walk in wardrobe, lovely modern bathroom with hairdryer, and free safe. The breakfast area was small, but a good choice of continental breakfast (buffet style) and fantastic coffee.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the water bus stop. The city is beautiful, be prepared to do a lot of walking, and take lots of money!!! A pasta dish, lasagna and two cokes came to 43 euros, Gondola ride 80 euros. The locals are really friendly.
Make sure you take a case/bag with plenty of room for all those designer shoes, clothes, glassware and fantastic masks!! And don’t forget your credit card!
