The Avanti village apartments were very clean. Which I think is always a very big plus point. All of the amenities were really nice. The pool was really big and there were always beds available. The staff were always helpful. The food in the cafe was pleasant and plentiful. I would like to go back again in the near future. The maid cleaned the rooms 5 days a week.



The apartments were basic but had all you really needed e.g. a fridge a must for the beer, a cooker and most of all air conditioning which was excellent. It is a short walk to the nearest restaurants. And a short bus ride to bar street. Also Cyprus is really hot yippee.

Our 1st visit to Cyprus, have been to Spain, Balearics, Canaries, Greece, France and USA.



The apartment was very spacious, the tiled floor could have done with a really good scrub to clean it properly, although we did see the maid clean it with a mop and bucket, this only seemed to move the dirt around however. The bathroom was clean, but the grouting looked like they have used concrete, and was appalling! The room lacked any form of decoration, it would be nice if they had a couple of local artist paintings hung. The pool is fantastic! Or should I say pools. The main one with swim-up bar is huge, clean and not too crowded. We got sun-beds fairly easily even though we were there in mid August. The super-market, not well stocked, and with a girl serving who could only be described as having a face like a slapped arse!


The reception staff were curt, almost rude, getting the pool towels which they provide free of charge was almost a trial!


First Choice seem not to have done their research for the Village as there distances to the beach etc were way out. The kitchen and equipment in the apartment were all above par. (Not that I did much food prep, as I believe Self-catering to mean the same as EAT OUT).


Local restaurants are excellent, we did feel as if we were having a SPECIAL meal every night as most are very cosmopolitan, service always excellent and choice outstanding. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, the Avanti Village Apartments is still unfinished, and because of this it feels as if they are not using the buildings that ARE finished to their full advantage. There is no evening entertainment of any kind. Even someone playing a guitar or some CDs would be nice, the bar in the main building is not even stocked!



Hopefully, this will be rectified when the whole building work is completed. But, if you like to find your entertainment outside of the hotel, I can recommend the apartments and pool.

We travel a lot with my family all over and the AVANTI VILLAGE is probably the best resort we have stayed in.



A very relaxing atmosphere with very friendly staff. Large areas, an enormous swimming pool with waterfalls, a lazy river for the children and lots of space for sunbeds and umbrellas. Never seemed too crowded.

The apartments are very spacious and have proper beds for the children to sleep in which we found very comfortable.


There is a resident animation team who entertained the whole family for both weeks we were there. My son experienced diving, my husband and I archery , water polo. My younger son enjoyed mini football.


We also were allowed to use the facilities of the sister Avanti Hotel where we had breakfast every morning. Also very well kept.


Both hotels seemed brand new and were kept spotless. We are planning on returning next July.


I would strongly recommend the Avanti Village.

I would definitely recommend this complex for families and couples. It is also ideal for disabled people as there are ramps everywhere.



There are 4 swimming pools. One indoor, a little rapids pool for kids, another shallow pool for kids with a waterfall and the biggest one isn’t that deep at the deep end as my 7 year old could just about touch the bottom. Pool towels are supplied so you don’t have to use your own and you change them yourself daily at the main reception.



There is a poolside restaurant and the food is very nice there. Good variety of food.



The apartments themselves are lovely. Fitted kitchens with 2 rings, oven, grill, toaster, kettle, and all cooking utensils. The living area has one air conditioning unit and also one in the bedroom, which are operated by remote control. Colour TV in living room but you can move it into bedroom as there is an aerial socket in there. Hair dryer is also supplied in the bedroom, electric shaver socket in bathroom. Beds are made every day and towels changed every 2 days.



Restaurants and bars are very near and Paphos waterpark is a 20-minute walk away. Myself and my family enjoyed ourselves that much we are already talking about going back next year and we’ve only been back 2 days.

My husband and I and our two kids (13 and 10) have just returned from Avanti Village after a two week last minute holiday there. The Avanti Village is sister to the Avanti Hotel.



The apartments are OK, spacious but fairly basic. The bathroom was very basic and small, no extractor fan and didn’t look very new. The materials looked as if they had been used before.



The pool area was great. The village is not finished which I wasn’t aware of before our travel. The entertainment is very poor. There is a games room for the kids which closes at 7.00 pm and is closed all weekend! The facilities that were available - gym - sauna - table tennis equipment were all chargeable. Which I thought was a real cheek as we had paid quite a lot of money for this holiday.



We had to take our meals at the sister hotel (something else which I wasn’t aware of). I would have opted for the self catering option had I known. There is no proper walkway to the hotel - just a cobbly 5 minute trek - not good with heels - I gave up and resorted to flip flops in the end. The food was very very basic - I thought more like 3 star. The staff in the restaurant were very miserable - it just wasn’t a pleasant eating experience. The breakfast experience was like feeding time at the zoo. We resorted to eating out in the end - which was great.



The other bug bear was that there was no cleaning service on Mondays or Thursdays - apart from cost cutting what was that about. I have never stayed anywhere and not had a daily service of change of towels, beds made etc. I wouldn’t go back.



Best bit was definitely the pool area. I expect there will be an improvement next year when rest of village is complete.

Fantastic holiday at Avanti Holiday Village Brand new place is owned by same hotel as the Avanti in Paphos. A real first class place to stay should have a 5* rating.



We enjoyed our holiday so much we are going back in September 2004 just six weeks after our first visit. We were treated with 5* treatment any queries were dealt with immediately.



Ideal for all walks of life and especially suitable for any Disabled holiday makers who require wheelchair access.



The apartments were immaculate, the pools were very very clean, they have a marvellous gym indoor pool sauna and steam rooms, Jacuzzi, waterfalls.



Ideal for weddings. All walks of life. This place is brand new if you want to book with them try Cypriair or Direct Holidays, very good prices.
