we have just returned for the Avanti Village with our family. We had a wonderful holiday the accomodation is very high quality,spacious and spotlessley clean. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The public areas are very well kept and the lagoon pool is huge. Very relaxing to enojoy a cool drink at the swim up bar. It position is ideal for the beach the shops and the Harbour. We will definately be returning. L Slater more

Returned from the Avanti Village at the end of May and only pressure of work has stopped me writing this report. As you can see we have visited before and would not return if we were not entirely satisfied with the village. The rooms are spacious, airy, clean and simply furnished but everything always works very well. The Avanti Village is a fairly large apartment complex in Paphos, Cyprus. The complex includes a lounge/games area, supermarkey, pool bar and an indoor bar (although we never saw the indoor bar actually open). There is also a large swimming pool plus children's pool and a "taverna" which serves meals and snacks all day. We arrived at about midnight and would have loved a cup of tea but it proved impossible to find any milk. My wife and I and our two girls aged 14 and 6 years have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Avanti Village. From the moment we arrived we were made extremely welcome and it was a joy to see the kids eyes light up when they saw what, is surely the biggest swimming pool, in Paphos. Just came back from avanti village, the resort is very nice good for going self catering, we went half board which you have to go to the other hotel for breaskfast and dinner, it does say on their website the hotel is next door, its not! its a bit of a walk either by road or an unlit dirt track which is quicker but not safe! and with small children not easy when they are hungry. We selected this from the Thomas Cook brochure, it was supposed to be 4* accomodation which we picked instead of 4* hotel to give us freedom to do our own thing and enjoy sitting in our balcony. The balconies look right into each other and the accomodation is basic nothing like four star. The accomondation is all in blocks that are all jammed together there is no space. The apartments themselves are not worth the money, for example we did not have any hangers and only two glasses that looked like tooth paste glasses yet the accomodation... more

We have just returned for a 2 week stay at the Avanti Village in Paphos. The accomodation, although a bit dated in decoration was more than sufficient. The bedrooms were big, kitchen area more than adequate but bathrooms are a bit on the small side. Note that NO tea towels are available, apparently you are expected to bring your own !!! We managed with a hand towel. Only real problem with accomodation was the fact that the bathroom is off the bedroom, not ideal with small children if they are asleep & you have to be in & out. arrived back from Avanti Village 3/9/06 after a 14 night stay i thought the rooms very nice clean and spaceous hurt my ankle could hardly walk swam in the pool with my mobile tucked in my tankini top what an idiot dead an buried that is., i agree odd occation no towells. We stayed there in the last 2 weeks of August 2006. Although it was the peak time - it wasn't too busy. The complex (which is really an annex of the Avanti Hotel - about 5 minutes away) is fine. It's got a great pool - although a bit shallow & loads of beds - the rooms are ok (although each room looks into another) and there are plenty of bars & places to eat nearby. It's just a bit dull. We stayed at Avanti Village in Aug 06. We loved the resort, plenty of bars and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, and the pool area nice. However, some of the rooms are a considerable distance from the pool area. We had a long walk with our cases when we arrived, without any clear direction of where we were going.
