Hotel Club is a fine- rooms are ok with air conditioning and fridge and staff are friendly. Only problem is that it is located in Mestre - about a 20 min bus ride from Venice. However, it is only 1 euro to travel into Venice and buses are regular. So if you are on a budget the hotel is fine.
Venice itself is beautiful and amazing- like stepping back in time. Try an Italian Grenite ice drink which are sold everywhere- they are so cooling and delicious. Didn’t find Venice expensive- if you eat away from the Grand canal/St marks there are lots of reasonable restaurants. Lido is worth a trip and good place to stay if we went again.
