Carlton Executive Hotel, Venice
Pleasant traditional hotel located on the Grand Canal opposite the main railway station. Getting to the Hotel Carlton and Grand Canal is easy due to its strategic position close to all of the points of arrival.

Short break to celebrate engagement. Hotel was nice, very convenient location close to railway & bus station, and on Grand Canal so very easy to get waterbus to explore city. Having said that, exploring the city is much better done on foot and Piazza San Marco and Basilica are only about 30 mins away on foot, passing the Rialto Bridge on the way. In November its pretty chilly but the weather itself was beautiful. Plenty of people around but it wasn't busy, we didn't have to queue anywhere and spent as much time as we liked in the main attractions. All in all a great mini break and would love to go again in the future. Highly recommended.
