A Perfect Choice
from story360
Having traveled the world in our younger years, we've had our share of youth hostels and budget bed and breakfasts. Now as somewhat older adults (30-somethings) we seek comfort, convenience and creative touches when choosing places to stay. We did our research on Venetian hotels and found Ca Pisani through this very website. Taking a chance we booked a 3-night stay in May of 2005. Simply put, this hotel was fantastic! Our room (#24) was an oasis of sophisticated design (nautical/modern in theme), opulence and comfort (great air conditioning and a jacuzzi bathtub that will make you want to soak forever - both nice features after a long day on your feet in the heat). Our room was situated in the back of the hotel overlooking a garden courtyard -- quiet and serene. Ca Pisani's rooftop deck was a perfect spot to rest and sip a glass of wine (or two) after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is perfectly situated off the Grand Canal (the Academia stop)... only a two-minute walk to the world-famous Peggy Guggenheim Collection (an absolute "must-see" when visiting this city). Our room came with a daily breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant... a wonderful spread of eggs, meats, breads, yogurt, fruits and juices (even champagne if you like). The only drawback to our stay was a not-so friendly female waitress at breakfast -- a minor negative. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone venturing to Venice. While Ca Pisani may be more on the pricier side of hotel stays, we thought it was worth every EURO. We will be back. One last word... if you stay at this high-tech hotel, be aware that while inside the room, your key must be inserted into an electronic holder just inside the front door -- otherwise none of the gadgets (i.e., the lights, jacuzzi, air conditioning) will work!
Excellent choice for a romantic trip
from kweeki
Very good location, just 2 minutes from "Academia" vaporetto station (on the Grand Canal), it means : 15 minutes walk to St Marco, or 15 minutes walk to Rialto, or 5 minutes ride on the boat to the both destinations. Very quite, the superior room is huge and confortable. Nice design, frendly staff. What else to spend a romantic week end there? Just somebody you love and who loves you too
Outstanding service in every respect
from tennismom710
We stayed at the Ca'Pisano Hotel in Venice in the fall of 2003, and highly recommend it based on the outstanding service provided. First, the rooms are lovely -- very modern and high tech, which seemed a little at odds with the feel of the city, but spotlessly clean and reasonably priced. Most impressive was the staff -- it seemed they would do back flips to try to make their guests comfortable and at home. We were there during a freak "high-water" incident -- which makes it almost impossible to get around the city -- and the staff managed to find a way to get us out and about -- arranging for special taxis, special walkways, special boots -- just spectacularly special treatment all around. They also provided shuttle service to and from the airport -- a pricey option, but money well-spent in our opinion. The hotel is in a good location, with easy access to the major attractions but a short distance away from the hubbub of St. Marks Square. It is about a five or ten minute walk from the Peggy Guggenheim museum, one of our favorite places in Venice -- and close to many good restaurants and lovely shops. We definitely recommend this hotel -- good value, good service, good spot.
Typically boutique!

My partner and I chose Ca Pisani after a wonderful experience in another 'Design Hotel' in Florence. Ca Pisani lived up to our expectations; it was small, but the atmosphere was intimate and cosy, and the location was quiet yet perfect as a base for exploring Venice. We had a problem with our room on arrival (the bed was broken!) but this was dealt with very quickly and to save us from having to move rooms after we'd unpacked, the staff gave us the keys to the adjoining room, effectively giving us 2 suites for the 1st night! The room(s) was well appointed, with nice 'design' touches. Breakfast was plentiful and served in the attractive restaurant/bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have recommended this hotel to friends, who have since had similar enjoyable experiences, and would recommend again!
Luxe, Posh and a total pleasure

An absolutely lovely hotel, the service was just excellent and the location is in a great neighborhood in the Dorsoduro. We can highly recommend this hotel on all fronts. We had a Superior room and it was stylish, quite and very luxe.
ROOM 4 NOISY WITH TWIN BEDS PUSHED TOGETHER
from goodwoogie
We stayed at the Ca'Pisani from 30/12/04 - 2/1/05. We booked a Junior Suite at the cost of 360 euros per night. We had especially asked that the room had one double bed as it is very uncomfortable (and rather unromantic) to sleep on two single beds pushed together. When we arrived we had been allocated room 4 on the gound floor. The room was nice, clean and fairly spacious WITH TWO SINGLE BEDS PUSHED TOGETHER!! We asked to move but alas with New Year approaching fast the hotel was full. That evening we arrived back at the hotel ready for a nice early night. At 1.30 the following morning we were still awake due to a large family with noisy young children sitting in the reception area right outside our room. We called reception and the family (who were not even staying at the hotel) were asked to leave and we were eventually able to sleep. Basically this hotel is OK. It is clean, trendy and the location is fine. Avoid a room on the ground floor if you want peace and quiet. The Ca' Pisani does not have a spa or treatment rooms although they do have a small steam room and some rooms have a jucuzzi bath. None of the rooms afford a canal view and for the same price there are a number of alternative 4/5* hotels which offer full spa facilities and beautiful canal views. Think very carefully about what you want from your stay in Venice before you book this hotel.
Off the beaten path and perfect for us!

We just returned from a trip to Europe, starting in Zurich, Switzerland and visiting the lake areas, Tuscany, Cinque de Terre, Verona and finally Venice. We thought we'd save the best for last and we did. The hotel is off the beaten path, not in the tourist trap area of Venice, and is what we prefer. The room was more than adequate, the best we stayed in during our trip. My personal opinion is that the staff is what makes this hotel. The front desk personnel are so helpful. The bartender suggested several wines to us and we left Venice with six bottles of his suggestions in tow. I would highly recommend and would stay again at this hotel.
a haven in Venice
from thingummyjig
Just returned from a four night package at this hotel. Brilliant value for money. The photos on their website don't do justice to the decor at this stylish, sophisticated hotel and concentrate a little too much on the retro aspect. Design details are fabulous - sophisticated lighting, gleaming marble and stainless steel in the bathrooms. All in all a gorgeous hotel with helpful staff, especially behind the reception desk. Waitresses in the restaurant are a little giddy! Wonderful location, though no canal views. A 20 minute stroll to Piazza San Marco or use the waterbus (2 minutes from Zattere stop & 5 minutes from Accademia stop). Also just across the water from Harry's Dolci.
Reconfirm or Regret it!
from robhnl
Due to some e-mail challenges and misunderstandings, our prepaid room was not available upon arrival. Unforgivably, we were scolded and scorned and treated with incredible rudeness. Ultimately and with their grudging help, we were accommodated at the aged but much more friendly Saturnia, a sister property. Ca' Pisani absolutely failed the test of handling a problematical situation. The Saturnia, though not as trendy and stylish, was very welcoming and helpful in every respect.
Lived up to its reviews

After a long flight and a relaxing ride on the Alilaguna shuttle, checking into the Ca' Pisani was a welcome treat. The fact that we had a king-size bed and a sizable bathroom was a welcome surprise. As it was my first time to Venice, I thought at first that the Dorsoduro district was going to be far away from the action. To my surprise, San Marco and even the Rialto was closer than we thought. The quiet area is preferable to the heavy foot traffic I can only imagine some of the other guests at hotels closer to San Marco have to experience. Highly recommended!
