Biasutti Adria Urania Hotel reviews

6 / 10
Jul 2004, Mr E De Nocker

Is indicated as 4 star hotel, has 4 star prices but the room that I had was not at all 4 star rated. Also it is not forbidden to change the napkins of the breakfast room every day. This to prevent that they become sticky after some days.
Nice, very quiet location, but 4 stars is a bit overkill.

Lovely Hotel
We stayed at the Biasutti Hotel for my birthday for 3 nights in October and found it very pleasant and a good base for visiting Venice. I would say however, that our room was a bit tired, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the whirlpool bath was broken but other than that the decor was nice. I would class this as more of a 3 star, however as we got such a good deal with the price we felt like it was good value for money. Very close to the Vaparetto for easy access to Venice and the lagoon islands. We did however, find the local... more
charming
Absolutely charming hotel on a quiet tree-lined street within walking distance of everything (vaporetto, restaurants, shops, beach). The concierge ( a lovely young lady whose name we cannot recall) was exceptionally friendly, polite and helpful. I would definitely return.
Great stay at the Biasutti
We stayed at the Hotel Biasutti from September 9 - 11th pre-cruise. We found the hotel to be well positioned close to both the main street and restaurants as well as a vaporetto stop. Our room was quaint, had a king sized bed and was very clean. We had a small terrace which was a nice touch. The bathroom had all modern amenities. The hotel staff were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations. The free breakfast was ample (meats, cheeses, croissants, bread for toasting, yogurt, fruit) and wonderful cappucino. <br... more
Disappointed
I stayed at the Biasutti Villa Ada on the Lido for the weeek 13-20 August 2005. The Biasutti is rated 3 stars and is a Best Western Hotel. The advertising for this hotel , I found to be very misleading. The rooms were very basic by European standards. This was my 8th stay in Venice and this was easily the worst hotel I have stayed in. My initial room had fixed bars on the windows and the room had no smoke detector/sprinkler system. This, I believe, is illegal in the UK and elsewhere in the EU. Room servicing took up to 6pm on a given... more
Lovely Hotel on the Lido
Prior to taking a Mediterranean Cruise out of Venice, we stayed a couple of days at the Best Western Biasutti July 1 - July 3, 2005. This boutique hotel in an upscale residential neighborhood turned out to be a great choice on the part of GoAhead Vacations, our trip coordinator. The hotel is located on a shady street just minutes from the water-taxi landing and from a lovely pedestrian boulevard lined with fine shops, restaurants and gelateria. We had no trouble finding our way over to bustling San Marco via water taxi, and after a day full... more
Ideal Location for Venice, plus beach
Attached to the main hotel of the Biasutti group - owned by Best Western, this hotel provided standard accommodation in a great location. I didn't see any of the rooms in the main hotel, but the Villa Nora is attached to it by a ground floor bar. The decor was a little old but I didn't go to Venice for the decor of the hotel room! Our room was two singles pushed together, with their own linen. As mother and daughter, we were fine with this arrangement. There was a large en-suite bathroom with a powerful shower over the jacuzzi bath (the... more
Excellent quiet position
Visited for 3 days in November 2003. First (and only so far) trip to Venice - glad we stayed on Lido as an antidote to the hustle and bustle of Venice. Biasutti provided this contrast perfectly. Good room, good staff and close to some quite adequate restaurants for the evening meal. Enjoyed a foray to the beach - a nice easy walk there and back. Easy connections to Venice and to the airport. Recommended without hesitation.
Old world charm far from the maddening crowds.
As the Panorama Hotel had unceremoniously resold our prepaid room to others, they cabbed us to the nearby Biasutti for our first two nights, which turned out to our benefit. It's basically a large, former villa on a quiet, chestnut-lined residential street having 69 rooms including its adjacent annex, Villa Ada. We got a nice-sized, side-facing room near the front with a view of the street; everything was shipshape, the bath was mid-sized but the typical, add-on corner shower stall was a tight squeeze for my 215-lb. frame. No window... more
Quiet but convenient surroundings
This is a very nice place to stay, away from all the crowds in a nice normal neighborhood. A short walk from the water taxi stop (15 min to Venice), this hotel is located on a quiet street. There are plenty of little restaurants and shops around but the overall feeling is of a sleepy suburb, which is kind of refreshing to come to after a day plowing through the crowds in Venice! Rooms were comfortable and well taken care of. Very nice staff and the included breakfast was fine. Overall a nice place to stay!
leafy Lido
April 2003. When we decided to go to Venice, we wanted to stay in central Venice near the Piazza di St Marco but had left it very late to book and were offered Hotel Bassutti on the Lido. The Lido is only 10 minutes from St Marco by vaporetti (water bus) and they leave every 10 mins so that was acceptable. We had four days of lovely Spring weather so the boat ride was a pleasure no a problem. The hotel has an impressive red-carpeted entrance and very courteous reception staff. Bags were taken to our room by a porter, reception staff... more
