Excellent value for money hotel
from explorer50uk
My daughter and I stayed at Belle Epoque 26th August 2006 pre cruise. The hotel was very easy to find, just as stated in previous reviews.No.5 bus from airport to Piazzalle Roma, Vapporetta 1 stop to Ferrovia then only a few minutes walk to the hotel..no bridges to cross. 5 euros total for 1 way trip. The hotel itself was very clean and pretty, desk staff were helpful, our room was a bit on the small side but perfectly adequate for 2 adults. bathroom was very nice. Air conditioning worked well. There was a glass elevator to the upper...

Power Outage!!!!
from 1Eric-Cartman1
- Reserved a double bed for 85 Euros per night through intermediary, got 3 beds junior suite instead - Beautiful hotel (interiors), big lobby - Tiny bathroom - 3 feet x 3 feet shower, no bathtub, no toilet bowl hygeine washer, towels were wrinkled (wonder if they were used by the previous tenants) - Unknown big bug flying in the room - Power outage for almost 2 hours at night. Only 1 person worked at the hotel at that time - Luggage room is an unguarded area behind the stairs (anyone could have hid there to...

Breathtaking but Disappointing
from A TripAdvisor Member
We arrived at the hotel and asked about an available room, and we were told there was one double room left available for 4 nights, and that was it. Nothing else. At 85 Euros a night, we took it! The lobby was breathtaking and everything you would expect a beautiful hotel in the heart of Venice to be, and we walked through marble hallway after marble hallway to get to our room. Once we got to the hallway that our room number should have been located on, we couldn't find the number. It was just skipped. And we noticed this attic-looking...

Its all in the name.
from McBlane
The hotel is just beautiful. Every thing about it has style from the chandeliers to the china in the breakfast room. My single room was tiny (4m.x2m.) but it was nice. The bathroom was big compared to the room and it was fine. The window looked out on a wall and when opened there was a slight smell of sewage. I think this is a Venetian problem. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room and was excellent, as was the service. The hotel is near the station and is easy to find. If you arrive at the bus station from the airport it is one...

Excellent
from Cantchose
An excellent choice. We stayed at another hotel on our first night that was an absolute dump! I walked in off the street and was offered an excellent 120euro rate, after we had seen the rooms. The rooms were beautiful, clean, warm and large! We even had a sitting area and Murano Chandelier. The breakfast room was quite lovely with great service, food and coffee! Front staff were aloof in that typical Italian manner but helped with anything that was asked of them. Excellent location, 5min from the train station and just...

Really Great!!
from BethandAl31
There isn't a negative thing I can say about this hotel. It was spotless, from the lobby all the way up to our 4th story room. Our room was lovely, very up-to-date, and our pristeen bathroom had an awesome shower! The breakfast was very nice (and the breakfast room was beautiful). Even the elevator was gorgeous. The dayman was very funny and always accommodating. As the hotel is near the train station and close to where the #5 bus drops you off from the airport, the location couldn't have been better. Fantastic!!!!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My mum and i have just got back from venice after what turned out to be a bit of a disaster. The holiday was fine, we had booked in the Canal and Walter but due to electrical problems we were moved to this hotel, which in my opinion is a better hotel. From the outside it has all the typical venetian charm of a small building but inside it was like a palace. The decoration was fantastic, the lift was nice. It was all very clean, a bit small though. The rooms were small but beautiful, murano glass chandilier, clean...

Belle Epoque - rocks
from BBGBlackpool_UK
Just got back to the UK this afternoon after 2 nights in this hotel - and can say it was great! Had actually originally booked for another hotel, but apparently a bust water pipe had flooded our floor (yeah right, more like you double booked us!!). Anyways, the hotel had booked us in to Belle Epoque, and like a previous reviewer, its not the greatest start to your trip to Venice (my FIRST trip here too). anyways, the distance wasn't so far from our original hotel, and it was easily located - very convienient for both the...

Very good
from A TripAdvisor Member
Had booked another hotel which turned out to be over booked. (Not what you want to hear when you arrive in a hotel lobby). Anyway the orginal hotel booked us into this hotel on short notice. Lobby was nice and well setup. The room was not overly spacious but as there was only 2 of us and we only needed the room to sleep after walking the city a couple of times. The room is very well decorated and the shower much better than your average shower in the bath hotel. Only issue with the room was no remote for the TV(Only nit picking). Location is...

Too concerned, hardly slept a wink...
from grach821
We needed a hotel convenient to the cruise ship area (two vaporetti stops) for one night after our cruise and we chose the Belle Epoque in Venice (right by the train station). The lobby was very welcoming (small but welcoming) and the hotel appeared clean and recently renovated. We just got done with an amazing 4 days at the Westin Europa and Regina so our standards were pretty high. The rate was attractive, the front desk person even offered to let us see a room. We took the key and went to go see the room and walked in on peoples...
