Just got back from two weeks at the Tsokkos Gardens. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had. The hotel was lovely. It was very clean and all of the hotel staff were very friendly. The food was good with full english breakfast and a reasonable choice at lunchtime and in the evenings. Snacks were available all day at the snack bar by the pool. There is a large pool where all of the daytime activities take place and also a smaller, quieter pool next to the apartment block. Various activities were taking place throughout the day for anyone wishing to join in.

The evening entertainment was very good and was mostly provided by the Thomas Cook entertainment team, Andy, Lee, Mia and Zalie - which we preferred to the local acts. The team made a point of getting to know the holiday makers by name and this resulted in us meeting a lot of really nice people as you felt like you knew everyone there. It was a really friendly atmosphere and we would certainly go back again.

Thank you to Andy, Lee, Mia, Zalie and all of the staff at the Tsokkos Gardens for making our 2008 holiday. Hope to see you again soon.

Two weeks of dissapointment! this is not a 4 star hotel we have stayed in alot better 2 star, the entertainment(if you can call it that) was terrible 3 young girls of the entertainment team tying to sing and although were aged 19 - 25 only did stuff from 20- 30 years ago? and Bingo every night was more like a saga holiday, hence the fact we went out of the hotel most nights for a drink, if you came back after 12 and fancied a quiet drink on your all inclusive forget it you have to pay! even for a bottle of water. The food was not much better but bearable. Our room was not cleaned very well and beware if there is a knock at your door the cleaners will let themselfs in without waiting for a reply(even if your not clothed, trust me!!) our only salvation was a couple of good day trips but these were also quite expensive! If you wanted to have a day by the pool you have to be up before 8 or the towel brigade will beat you to them and not turn up untill lunch time to use them. We will not be going back to this hotel again even if you payed us!!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at the Tsokkos gardens in Pernera near Protaras.

We were a party of 11 which ranged from 57 yrs down to 3yrs. Each and every one of us loved the holiday and apartments, this was the second time that 6 of our party had been to this hotel before. So that says something!!

The rooms were spacious clean and tidy, maid service every day with clean linen and towels. 3 fab pools to suite all! Delicious daytime snacks.

Friendly staff throughout the entire hotel. Food was of excellent standard which was HOT and PLENTIFUL!

Eating and drinking could be done all day until midnight, the daytime/evening entertainment was great fun for adults and children alike.

Cyprus is a beautiful island with lots to do and see. Over looking the hotel is a tiny church on a hill that is lit up beautifully on a night, there is quite a lot of steps up to it but it is definately a must see! You must also visit the waterpark in Ayia Napa it is the best we have ever been to. GREAT!!

The people are the friendliest I have ever met in any foreign country.

We will definately be booking again :)

A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY ALL ROUND WHICH WE WILL NEVER FORGET, THANKS TO ALL STAFF FOR MAKING IT SO SPECIAL!

Been back a week and i still have the "coming back from holiday" blues!!!!

Stayed at Tsokkos Gardens with my husband for 2 weeks all in and had a FANTASTIC time!!!!!!! We were all inclusive but stayed in the apartment block, so had a really spacious studio complete with kitchenette, fridge etc. I thought we had to pay a deposit for the fridge, but did not. Room also had Air Con, which you need if you are going any time soon!!

The food was fantastic!!! Different theme every night, but always something for everyone! My husband is pretty fussy too, but always found something. Full english breakfast is fantastic and there is always something different available at lunch time, and most days there is a pizza on as well.

Evening meals are served in a separate room to breakfast and lunch, which although it is still "buffet style" there is a nice feeling of being in a resteraunt.

Snack bar during the day serves toasties and the most gorgeous burgers!!!! So sometimes we would have lunch on our sunbeds!

The staff are really hardworking and friendly. The Entertainment isn't fantastic, but the 4 entertainers work really hard with what they have. My husband was off during the day getting involved with table tennis, killer pool etc. Water Polo is a bit vicious and not for kids!!!!

If going into Protaras at this time of year i would definately recommend getting a taxi!!! It was 38 degrees when we were there and just popping to the local chemist at 5 in the afternoon was way too much to bear for me!!!

Would definately recommend going all in. Some people we met upgraded when we were there because Cyprus is expensive (well, probably similar prices to England).

Anyway, if you are going, have a fantastic time and i am jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The entertainment was appalling especially the biscuit dunking competition!! That was followed by bingo which was always our cue to leave the hotel and head for some real entertainment!

The food was always cold and ropey!!! The staff in the restaurant were rude and it took ages to get a glass of wine which when it finally arrived was disgusting. At breakfast you were just expected to find a table and it was a challenge to find a clean one there was no clean cutlery and the waiters walked around eating the food and not collecting the dirty plates.

The bar run out of wine one night and did not have local imported spirits so they expected us to pay for cocktails which were nothing more than juice.

The hotel room was not a 4 star they ran out of bath towels so just gave us hand towels and it wasn't cleaned to any decent standard. When we got towels they were not clean nor were the bed sheets. We booked 1 room for 3 adults the room was not equipped for 3 adults there was a very uncomfortable camp bed that looked like it was about to collapse wasn't even big enough for a child.

The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. The entertainment was run by imbeciles especially one I've seen better at butlins! Not ticking that excellent box!

Outside the hotel was a lot better we would recommend the station pub is a 2min walk from the hotel and has much better entertainment especially boy George and Bobby Lee and the twisted sisters but do not bother with the Robbie Williams impersonator. We would also recommend the station bar in Protaras though not to sure about the welsh Elvis!!

The greenery is a good place to go once the bars are shut loving the karaoke which to be fair you will find in every bar in Protaras along with Elvis

Finally leave yourself more than enough time to check in at Larnaca airport it took so long our plane was due to take off as we walked through passport control.

The hotel was excellent, food had a great choice, different theme every night, the entertainment staff without a doubt made our holiday, Rich, Steff, Kylie and little Leigh were absolutely brilliant!

This was our second visit and recommend it to any age group. We had 4 adults and a 4 year old. The catering staff couldn't do enough to help you.

Rooms were very clean, maid service every day with clean towels if you wish. Reception also provide beach towels every day. Weather was hot with a slight breeze.

Hired a car toured the island, would recommend as they drive on our side of the road. My partner went scuba diving great fun, got qualified to dive anywhere.

Cyprus is fantastic and friendly would love to retire there. Will be returning next year.

Just got back from are all inclusive holiday and overall I can say we has a brilliant time.

The apartment I stayed in was big and fresh with everything you could need, one thing I didn’t like was all rooms were smoking rooms, so sometimes I woke in the morning with the stench off smoke from the room opposite.

Food was good something for everyone. Beware off the waitress staff taking your plates before you finish, but they are all really polite.

Entertainment staff work hard and long hours and there is some good fun activities to get involved with.

Definitely recommend this place, but take plenty of money cause Cyprus an expensive country.

Enjoy yourselves.

The hotel run kids club stopped running a couple of years ago, even though it was advertised with some tour operators (not Thomas Cook), however the Thomas Cook entertainment team really made our holiday.

The Aladdin show was fantastic as was the 80's evening, we sang our hearts out. Rich, Steph, Kylie, and Leigh were great fun; they worked really hard to keep us entertained all day and night.

The hotel was clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food wasn’t bad but did get a bit repetitive for a 2 week stay.

Overall very good family holiday.

Although we have been to Cyprus several times this was our first visit to Protaras. We found the apartment great, clean and tidy with no broken tiles etc.

The swimming pool area was always clean, again, no missing tiles found. Staff were always very pleasant.

We used the bigger pool in the hotel during our two week stay and the children loved every minute.

The beach by the hotel is not the best, but is clean and safe for the children, they loved the inflatable island!

We walked into Protaras, by the beach several times and it was a gorgeous walk lined with cafe/restaurants. The area where the hotel is was quiet, very family orientated with a few bars and restaurants, only Fools and Horses bar is the most popular.

We got the bus into Protaras town centre most nights, and that is bustling and has the dreaded McDonalds (The kids were in their element) and also plenty of other restaurants, Thai, Chinese, and English etc.

There is a bar called "The Love Boat Bar" which has fantastic nights and gets really busy.

Overall, I would definitely go back, in fact I am - 3 weeks! Can’t wait! Would recommend this to anybody.

This holiday was the best holiday I have ever been on! The reps were fantastic and always up for a laugh. The food was great and the entertainment was fantastic!

The day and night entertainment could not have been better, in the day it varied from water polo to battle of the sexes activities where all ages could join in. Close to everywhere.

The holiday was great and a holiday i will never ever forget, I was very very upset when it came to leaving and the reps got us all roses as we left and kept our emails so that we could all stay in touch.

If you are looking for a great unforgettable holiday -- THIS IS THE PLACE! Loved It!

Had a brilliant time again! entertainers were brilliant with the children. Thomas cook should be proud of Matt, Caqlly, Eve and Hannah. My daughter Liv really enjoyed herself and they always had time for her. the pool by the hotel is more fun than the apartment! hotel management don't smile of pay any attention to you!!

It is close to shops and you can walk to Protaras in the evening and Pernera is even closer. The beach nearest hotel is not the best and smelt a bit too. the room was cleaned every day by very pleasant cleaners!

Very poor holiday when we got to the airport at Larnaca very little information was given by the reps we had no idea how the all inclusive system worked so we tried the apartment reception and they just looked at me funny so we had to ask another guest. No information or welcome pack in the apartment.

We had an apartment we had to ask for a kettle to be put in took 2 days. Restaurant and bar staff are quite sweet.

Regarding the restaurant never ever put your knife and fork down unless you have finished your meal otherwise they will take your food and plate away. Was no evening entertainment really apart from bingo which cost £5 cyp which is £6.50 sterling a lot for 1 lousy game of bingo.

Our tiles in our hall way all lifted 9/7 to the extent of being dangerous but when they started to fix then it was 7am for 3 days. Our bathroom shower head came off every time whilst showering which nearly knocked my son out.

Also you have to give a deposit for pool towels this is £5 cyp but you can change them every day do not let your children think its any ice cream they are entitled to, its the ones behind the bar.

Good points:

Food 7/10.

Cleanliness 7/10.

Our rep 8/10.
