Club Vista Bahia Hotel

Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel in the end of august and had the time of our life. Having read previous reviews, we were a little sceptical , but we were pleasantly suprised.The staff is amazing and made everyone to feel welcome. By our arrival there were some problems with our room but it got sorted immediately by very nice receptionist called Anka.The rooms are spotless, our maid Ionela made good job every day. We were little bit worried about all inclusive, but the food was excellent and adequate for 3 star hotel.There was always something to choose from and the fish and pasta were especially nice. There are 3 pools which were faboulous. The animation team is brilliant and so professional. We had great time with Nathalie and Kyle who made our stay such fun. The hotel offers kayaking for free and we enjoyed it a lot.
Some minor improvements could be made if you are fussy, but if you are looking for a good, clean and comfortable 3 star hotel in beautiful location with glorious sunsets, this one is perfect for you. We like the way the managment has defended the hotel against so many negative comments and we would agree with them as It IS GOOD VALUE.
We will be definitely back next year.

Having read the reviews, I was a little sceptical, having had holidays in more expensive all inclusive hotels in the past. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The room could have been in a better location, being near a tree in front of the balcony, but as the hotel was full, we couldn't change, and at the end of the day, how much time do you spend in your room!! Next time we will contact with the reception for having a sea view room.
As someone who is not so much of a fussy eater, than a specific eater, I was worried about what the food was going to be like. I was pleased with the choice - plenty to choose from, all in buffet style. Lots of mixed salad choices, hot and cold options for all meals, soups, meat, vegetables, fish, cheese, fruit and more.
There are three pools, the lower one being the quieter of the two as its next to the the pool bar area. The beach is only ten minutes from the hotel. The sea was lovely and warm, even in late September and you can have for free kayaks and surf table in the bay.
The evening entertainment, although somewhat typical of a med resort, was varied and ok once you had had a couple of drinks. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the cocktails from the drinks list as these were pre mixed. However, we couldn't fault the gin and tonics etc. The entertainment for childrens is perfect because there are a miniclub open from 10 until 17 where you can leave your children and spend the day at the pool or beach.
All in all, an enjoyable all inclusive late summer break. The hotel offers great views across the bay of Portinatx, and its 10 -15 minute walk down in the town.
We will return !!! We had a great holiday, met some lovely people and look forward to our next holiday there. Big thanks to you all from chamber maids, reception staff, bar and restuarant staff and off course the wonderful animation team. You make holidays here unimaginably enjoyable........already counting down to Oct 2012. Gracias......

We have just come home from a weeks holiday at the Vista Bahia in Ibiza and would not stay here again.
Our room was basic and had a working television although the aircon was tempremental and only worked for a few days before it began blowing hot air out!
The hotel is quite a walk from the beach or any local shops and didnt really have much in the way of entertainment in the evening. The food was okay but not much to choose from and we spent the whole week living off chips and burgers from the snack bar!
In the last few days the hotel staff began to close the snack bar, the drinks bar and remove all the parasols and sunbeds from around the pool so there was nothing to sit or sunbathe on. They also stopped cleaning the pools in the last few days.
On the last night we enquired at the hotel reception as to whether or not we could pay extra to have our room for a few extra hours the next day as we were not flying until 10pm the following evening, only to be told that the hotel actually closed for the season at 12pm and we would have to leave the hotel site. This was NOT mentioned to us when we booked the holiday. This meant we had to leave the hotel for the airport at 12pm and wait in the airport for 10 hours as there was no way we could carry luggage around with us all day!!

We have just arrived back after a week at Vista Bahia.We didn't expect the world as it was a late deal 3 star hotel we just required a relaxing break. We arrived at 3am and dragged our cases down the hill to be told our room was on the top row, thinking we were going back to where we had just come from, we headed back in the dark, we actually found it was much further than we expected we had our 3 year old son with us and this was incredibly hard work as we could not see a thing as there was next to no lighting and it really was a very steep incline. The brochure states it is not ideal for people with walking difficulties but people should be aware if you do get high rooms there is alot of walking and steps involved and in the heat of the day the fittest of people can struggle. Portinatx is a lovely place and the views and beach are absolutely stunning this did actually make up for the quality of the hotel. In brief the pools were not very clean, rubbish was not cleared away very often, the towels and bed linen were not changed regularly (once in 7 days). The food was too be expected of a 3 star hotel not great and not much choice but we certainly didn't starve. The bar staff were very nice but over worked and there was often queues at the bar and the snack bar. The entertainment team did make my 3yr old son's holiday they made him feel so special and he loved every single Mini Disco and joined in with the kids club through the day which he really enjoyed as well. The whole entertainment team are a credit to the whole hotel and we could not thank them enough.
To review, we did actually have a great holiday but the hotel really could do more to help itself and its guests, it is in a great location but I do not feel customer service is its priority. The cleanliness issues could be easily resolved and a night porter would be a huge benefit. They do need to keep a hold of there entertainment team as well who, once again, did a cracking job!!

We were extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this hotel, so much so that we paid extra to move to another hotel to be able to enjoy the remainder of our holiday (which is saying a lot considering I have no income now I'm on maternity leave!). We went as a family with our 6 month old baby and spent a long time looking for and paid extra for a hotel with air conditioning. Detailed below are our major complaints, which were voiced to the hotel reception who continuted to palm us off and lie to us that everything would be fixed or was fixed.
1. Air conditioning. It did not work. We complained 7 times over 4 days. The room was blowing air however 27 degrees in the room is not what I call air conditioning, despite the maintenance man and hotel guest relations woman saying it was. We had to sleep with the door open, allowing mosquitos in, and since the room was open to the main road, I was not going to have my baby in the (dirty) baby cot so he had to stay in a single bed with me. Another room was offered but was no better (because the a/c doesn't work!!)
2. Room maintenence. There were loose floor tiles and tiles hanging off the wall in the shower. Not surprisingly, after reporting these several times and injuring our feet, they were never fixed despite promises of being fixed that day
3. Cleanliness. The towels in the room once put on the floor were hung back up as clean, even when obviously covered in baby sick! The walls of the room were dirty as was the baby cot
There were many other faults too numerous to mention in detail (such as uncomfortable beds, an uncomfortable sofa with a sheet on it as a family room, uncomfortable and unsafe dining furniture, very hot dining room...), therefore we paid to move to another hotel so we could actually enjoy our holiday.
We have since complained with tour operater which we have never done before, still awaiting response (which will probably be riddled with lies as well!)
Terrible hotel, you could not pay me to go back there

Just returned from a weeks holiday, when we arrived at the resort the views were amazing and were soon 2 be disappointed. on holiday with my husband and 2 boys,14 and 12, we went 2 our room which consisted of 1 wardrobe between 4 of us, 2 single beds and 2 sofas made up as beds.First impressions were "it looked grubby" kids were nt impressed at all, still we only sleep and wash there so that would nt spoil it...unless you had NO HOT WATER... first day we had a hot shower was the friday befor we left. Food was absolutly terrible, we spent a bit monet eating at Del Boys bar in Portinax. The snack bar was nt 2 bad but the restaurant was horrible and sitting in boiling sunshine with no air conditioning, what a nightmare. Our beds were never made just pulled up, towels were only changed once durring stay and were nt really clean, and toilet roll had 2 go in bin provided was nt meant 2 go down toilet only this could nt happen in the hotel as the bins were over flowing with toilet paper! Any sanitary products were 2 be put in a bag and left for cleaners the following morn...could nt believe it!
Entertainment started at 10 in the evening, and not up 2 much at all.. hotel ran no excursions and were reluctand 2 really help you... we were at least hoping 2 go 2 a water park or somewhere but it would mean getting a taxi in2 ibiza, 45 mins away, then bus from there. We had attended the welcome meeting on the sunday morn for it 2 be done in spanish so we just left half way through!. This should not even be a 3 star accommodation and have wrote a letter of complaint 2 Thomas Cook i shall not return!

Just back from vista bahia. First holiday on my own with my 3kids, ages 16,10,7. Kids had a fantastic time they loved Kyle the entertainer and had a ball alday swimming in the pools and the kids club and disco. There was a lifeguard on the pools which give me peace of mind while sunbathing at the pool, i wasn`t constantly looking out for them and was able 2relax. The kids and i had a great relaxing holiday with stunning and breath taking views and watching the sun set everynight was specticular. Didnt realy like the food but overall a great family holiday.

i always try to give hotels the benefit of the dought, however this hotel was past a joke, the room we was given was vile, ive seen cleaner dog kennels, their was mould and damp all over the walls and ceilings,dead bugs spattered eveywhere, we had 2 get our own bedding and towels because they wernt changed, the food was not edable and was always cold, no selection at all. the staff were extremely rude and ignorant and no help at all. i have a 11month old who needed a cot, the mattress they gave me was covered in mould and dry feaces, it was awful, the fruit had been their 4 7 days and never changed.
the entertainment was that bad it was funny, the entertainers were extremely rude towards us when not performing crap. the rep we had was the biggest waste of time ever, no help at all did not want 2 know, however that will be takin up with thomas cook.
would i return to this hotel? Never again it should be shut down, and condemmed, burn it down, so much for a lovely honeymoon, ill never forget it all for the wrong reasons,thankyou thomas cook for sellin us a week of hell and upset,

not a bad hotel at all , couple of complaints lack of hot water, room smelling stagnent but with a good airing this wasnt too bad, entertainment was fantastic always trying to get you involved .
we stayed for two weeks which i felt was a little on the long side as not much in town to do or see! But defo had a relaxin holiday .

We were staying there for 10 days. We checked into our room and we asked to move. The room smelt damp and we could only get cold water. They moved us to a room right at the back with the view of the room infront. But we had to cope because at least this room did not smell. The entertainment was really good but the food was awful. I lived off chips and pasta for ten days! I wouldn't go again!
