Have stayed in quite a few good hotels and this rates high up the list. The hotel is spotless throughout and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are a good size and have usual facilities. The area around the swimming pool and the pool itself did not seem that large (as... more

This is a great hotel but will not be for everybody. Great location and big rooms. Flat screen TV's, air con, very nicely decorated as fairly recent refurbished. Cleanliness: Spotless. Rooms immaculate. Bed linen: Not sure if it was everyday the sheets were changed but... more

Good for the oldies!
This is a good, well run hotel that seems to appeal very much to the over fifties clients, at least in October whilst I was there. It feels more like a city hotel, as it is in the town, just a short walk to the harbour. The staff are very professional and polite, and most speak very good English. The restaurant is always buffet style with very simple but fresh, tasty food, such as roast meats, fish, potatoes, rice, vegetables and salads. The hotel is clean, and although there is a lot of noise from the street in some rooms, the double glazing is very effective. I'd say the only big negative point was the pool area, because it is too small for the hotel, and only half of it gets the sun for most of the day. Due to this I didn't use the pool once, and as I had specifically gone for a sun holiday this was a disappointment. The hotel just doesn't feel like a beach resort hotel, more a good base for sightseeing.
Good Value
We booked the hotel after research on trip advisor - and it was great, clean, tidy and good value. One comment I would make is that it seemed to have a lot of mature guests at the time we stayed and we were the youngest there (30's) A short stroll to the beach, close to the marina and there are great places to eat there. Buffet style dinner and seemed to be the same each evening - however we ate out so not a problem, breakfast was fine. Would recommend and would stay again
Pleasant Hotel shame about the food
Stayed a week on a half board basis. Have to say the accomodation is of a lovely standard with mini fridge and flat screen tv although the tv could do with more than 3 channels of english tv all of them news!!!! The pool is lovely although the position it is built on means it does not get the sun very often so can be freezing cold. The hotel is situated fantastically just a five min walk from the promenade and marina and a 10 min walk from main square in Saint Elulia. HOWEVER the food is something that is of a poor standard, its all buffet style and is more or less the same every night with little choice.. ended up eating out 5 of the 7 nights we stayed there!! I would recommend the hotel BUT only on a bed and breakfast basis
Lovely, lovely hotel
We have just returned from a very pleasant week in the La Cala. It is in a street side location, one row of apartments back from Santa Eulalia’s marina. Although it doesn’t have a sea view, it is still in a brilliant location, just five minutes from the marina, the beach, the Ramblas and restaurant street. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the rooms are extremely comfortable. They have a fridge, flat screen TV and air conditioning (although we found the ceiling fan to be more useful). The bathrooms are very nicely fitted too. We also had double sets of patio doors, which certainly helped to deaden any noise from the streets – I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well in a holiday hotel. Two minor criticisms are the pool and the lounge area. The pool is in a courtyard area, which means it doesn’t really get the sun, and the beds are quite close together, which made us feel claustrophobic. However, the beach is absolutely brilliant (with a Blue Flag) so we spent all our days there anyway. The lounge area if very formal, with the seats and tables in straight rows – it could just do with a few more ‘chill-out’ sofas. However, the reception and bar staff are very friendly, which did help us relax. The self-service breakfast had loads of choice – the usual cereals, juices, fruit, croissants, cheeses etc. and bacon, sausages, beans and eggs for those who want cooked. The town of Santa Eulalia itself has a ‘lived in’ feel – although there are a lot of hotels, there are also a lot of apartments where locals live, so you get the feel of actually being in a working town rather than a beach resort. The fact that La Cala is in a side street adds to this feeling. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Brillant Hotel
Stayed in this Hotel for one week in September. Could not fault it Food Excellent with a good choice, cleanliness of all areas exceptional, very friendly staff, bar prices less than most of the outside bars. In a great location would not hesistate to stay in this Hotel again.
Excellent hotel five happy travellers one from Wales and four from the Midlands
Have just returned from a two week holiday at the La Cala Hotel in Ibiza, what a great hotel, we were five people ages ranging from 47 to 73 and each one of us had a great time at this hotel. The whole ambience of the hotel was terrific, it was so clean and well kept it was hard to believe that we were there at the end of the season, it looked as if it had just opened, the Staff were so helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to help in any difficulties, the food was great the only complaint was the seating in the restuarant was to close to each other no room to get in and out of the table, the pool was lovely pity was it had very little sun, but saying that it was a very well kept and pretty pool with plenty of sun beds etc. if booking ask for a pool view room, the only complaint was the entertainment which was very poor with the same singers on each week not once a fortnight but each week no variation whatsoever, but would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Fantastic Hotel, lovely resort
Stayed at the La Cala hotel in September of this year. The hotel is in an excellent spot in the resort, ideal location for the marina and shops. The hotel is of a very high standard. The rooms, restaurant and bar area are spotlessly clean. The staff are very polite and helpful. We didnt use the pool area as this did get crowded, we opted to go to the beach which is only a 10 minute walk. The food in the hotel is very good with a good selection to choose from. The meat is freshly cooked so there is a bit of a wait. We did eat out a couple of time during our stay and would recommend the pizzas at Pizzazz. The drinks in the hotel are very cheap, try the Sangria very nice at only €4.00 for a small jug, but it is worth going for a walk and trying out a few local bars. We found the cocktails at Sandy's really nice. Also Dona Anna on the Marina is well worth a visit. Overall I would say this hotel is excellent and would recommend it to anyone.

great hotel, great holiday
Hi, we have returned from a great fortnights holiday in santa eulalia and staying at the la cala hotel, everything good has been said about this hotel and i agree with all the posts, just one word of warning about the beach, we had our beach bag stolen when my wife and i were in for a swim, I know it is stupid to leave things unatended but we were away 2mins at the most, as it turned out the theif didnt get that much, but it could have been a lot worse, Away we didnt let it spoil our holiday and we would return to santa eulalia, and la cala hotel gladly and we would recomend it to anyone.
Excellent hotel!
This hotel has apparently been refurbished in the last year, and the standard of our room was very good, with a flat-screen TV (CNN, BBC World) and a daily maid service. There is a nice pool and some entertainment (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 9 pm), though this is of the pleasant singer/pianist variety rather than a 'show'. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a little noise when people go into their rooms during the night from shutting doors etc, but probably no more than in many hotels. The hotel is kept very clean (as is the whole island). However, the main feature is the excellent food. We normally just have B&B, preferring to eat out each evening. But this time we unavoidably got half board in the deal, and we found ourselves eating in nearly every evening. The meals are self-service, but to refer to this as just a buffet would be an understatement. There is an excellent range of hot and cold main courses, soup, starters and desserts. The evening meal is served from 19:00 to 21:30. We arrived from the airport at 9 pm and were pleased to find that not only was the restuarant still open, but also that they were cooking new food and re-stocking the dishes. Tables are already laid with cloths and cutlery and are available for either singles/couples or groups. Restaurant staff bring your choice of drinks from the bar, but though these are extra, they are reasonably priced. Typical food choices include fish, meat, poultry, interesting salads, rice, chips, soup and various desserts, including several ice creams, with no limit on quantity! Breakfast is similarly well provided and is served from 8:00 until 10:30. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. Santa Eualalia itself is bigger than you might think from looking at maps in brochures, but not too big. It takes 20 minutes or so to walk along the front and there are plenty of nice shops to look in. There is a lot more to it than the nearby Es Cana and Cala Llonga, and there are lots of restaurants. The hotel is situated next to the main road, so we asked for a quiet room away from that (it was just the other side of the corridor) and heard very little in the way of traffic. We hired a car for the week and found it possible to drive almost anywhere in 30 minutes or less, though there are some major road works going on at the moment (2006) around Eivissa and towards Sant Antoni.
