Reviews of Sirenis Coral Playa Hotel, Es Cana

This was probably one of the best holidays i have had with my children. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size each with balcony. Fresh towels were provided everyday and the maids would clean your room only after you left. The best part was the fact that you did not have to get up at 7am to get a sun lounger around the pool. It did not matter what time you went down to the pool there was always plenty of loungers. Most of the guests went to the pool about 11am. Very relaxed and happy atmosphere as staff and other guests were very friendly. Entertainment was probably 6/10 but they worked so hard and the kids enjoyed it which is the main thing. Shops are right outside the hotel which is great if you have forgotten to take anything and the beaches are both a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Casa Nova beach is beautiful!!! Would defiantly go back again.

Superb holiday, recently had new owners (about 6 months ago) for a 3 star rating it is exceptional value and more a 4 star than 3. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean everywhere, rooms cleaned daily, well appointed and comfortable for somewhere you really only sleep in. Recommend all inclusive as the meals are exceptional with plenty of choice, great salads and fruit along with hot meals and plenty for children that they will be familiar with. Pool and pool area nice with a reasonable choice of activities but nothing for small children, the evening entertainment is okay but dont expect too much although if all inclusive the free drinks and bar meals help (Charlies in town is a good night out usually with tribute acts and bingo)! Beach and town very close by with great bars and cafes and the resort feels safe to walk around at all times. If you plan going to the Hippy Market (recommended) go first thing as it gets very hot and busy after 11am. All in all great holiday, fantastic weather and resort - will definately return.

Hotel was really clean and a pleasant atmosphere. The reception staff were particularly helpful.



Only a short walk to the beach & a large pool in the grounds.



Evening entertainment was provided but the resort centre wasn't far away if you fancied a stroll to one of the few bars in Es Cana.



I would suggest it's a good place for families rather than couples / groups seeking an all action Ibiza holiday.



Good food in the resort, hotel food was okay but the breakfasts were best and had good variety. The evening meal seemed to be repetitive particularly if staying for a two week break.

Es Cana is a very quiet relaxed place to stay, ideal beach holiday. Within minutes of getting to the hotel we bumped into another resident at the hotel moaning about what a dump the hotel was and how bad the food was, the next day when our holiday really started we were pleasantly surprised, despite the drunken bad reviews.



The breakfasts were very good, often went up for two helpings, the evening meals were quite good as well, you might not like everything but I reckon you would be hard pushed to not find something you would like, desserts were not always great but there was always fresh fruit and ice cream, if you didn’t fancy anything else.



Because we went in October we had to order snack bar food from inside the bar but the waiters were pleasant and service was quick, food from this was ok, not very big portions but you could order more than one dish at a time if you were hungry.



All inclusive drinks ran from 11 to11, so prob best to keep a bottle of drink in your room for times in between, because the can machine in hotel was charging 2 Euros for a can, but big measures given on spirits, just get a few in at a time when approaching 11.



Hotel was clean, you could quite often smell bleach where they had been cleaning, shower curtain needed changing and there was hair in the plug hole , but really do feel as if this was a one off because it did feel a very well kept clean hotel.



The entertainment in the hotel was really good, something good on every night starting at 10, a real mixture of good acts, you didn’t feel as if you had to leave the hotel. but if you want something a bit livelier pop eyes a minutes’ walk away offered good family night out, very pleased with hotel and holiday in general.

We would definitely book our holiday with Sunshine holidays again! Can not fault them! We had a brilliant week in Ibiza. The hotel was as expected for three stars! The entertainment was very good at the hotel, something for everyone !

Travelled to the Coral Playa last year with my husband and twin boys aged 7. Transfer from airport was well organised, with staff on hand to make sure that you boarded the correct coach. Checked in on arrival without a hitch, staff spoke good English. Rooms were clean and comfortable but were not interconnecting and therefore my husband and I each had to sleep with one of the boys which was not ideal.



Re all inclusive - all members of the party were issued wrist bands on arrival which worked really well for us as boys could get own drinks and ice creams etc without complications of pass cards.

Food in the restaurant was generally of a good standard and plentiful however it lacked in variety and the wine was virtually undrinkable!



Hotel facilities were adequate, well maintained and clean with more than enough sunbeds to go around. Entertainment for children - as the guests were mainly British, the children mixed well and enjoyed the activities on offer. However, we felt the activities were rather limited and basic (with no childrens activities offered on one day because of staff illness). This could also be said of the evening entertainment, however having said this, the children really enjoyed themselves and expressed a desire to return again this year.



Hotel was very close to beach (less than 100 yards). Es Cana was a small, lively and friendly resort with plenty of bars, restaurants and nightlife. It also had the usual watersport activities on offer. Boys enjoyed walking along the beach in the evening and feeding the fish.



Unfortunately, during our time there one of our boys got an ear infection but the hotel staff were very helpful and called an English speaking doctor out for us that night (even though it was Sunday).



Overall it was an enjoyable, safe holiday experience -money well spent.

Just got back from holiday in Es Cana, hotel very clean, staff were superb, rooms very clean.



But the food was not varied enough, breakfast was fine but early, did not bother with lunch as was on beach( brill beach), and evening meal was so so, I agree it’s difficult but holidays are not cheap.



Anyway if you are going don’t go all inclusive as there are many cheap and cheerful bars with very friendly staff. You must try Popeyes with tony and janeie, what a great place cheap food, cheap booze and great entertainment (especially the jegemiser).



My final moan is the entertainment at the hotel it was not very good except for three acts, the parrot show was good, the magician was ok, but the flamenco show was excellent.



I will go back but only on BB or HB.

Just returned from a fantastic week. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is good but a bit repetitive.



The entertainment could be better, everywhere was clean and well maintained, and I heard someone say that they had refurbished parts recently.



Rooms were large and airy add that to fantastic weather and you have a well priced up- market, value for money hotel which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.



It is only a short walk to either Cala Nova beach or Es Cana beach and the shops/ restaurants are in easy walking distance. Doctors & supermarket nearby.



Only half hour from the airport, and a lovely ferry ride to St Eulalia

Absolutely brilliant. Food, staff, entertainment, 5 star.



The hotel had their own entertainment reps who really showed the Cosmos, Thomson reps how to keep holiday makers entertained properly. Which didn't always go down well!



The hotel is 100 meters from the beach which is ideal for kids having lovely sand and calm water while 500 meters in the opposite direction for the more energetic there’s a beach were you can go body boarding.



Also for days out. Tell reception staff and they will organise a lovely picnic for you instead of having a hotel lunch.

I took my teenage Daughter to this hotel during the school summer break. We booked it on the internet as a last minute deal. We got excellent value for our money.



We stayed all-inclusive. The hotel staff were very friendly, our room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily, and the cleaners did an excellent job.



The food was excellent with lots of variety dishes, we had breakfast, buffet lunch, and buffet evening meal. The pool was very clean and the gardens were well kempt.



This was our first visit to Ibiza, I can say we can't wait to visit the Island again. The hotel was so close to the beach, and the shops and bars were just around the corner.



I would recommend this hotel to anyone it is good value for money and I thought it should have been classed as a four star hotel not a three star.

Just back from Sirenis Coral Playa in Es Cana. Es Cana is quiet but lovely. Hotel was exceptionally clean! Clean towels and maid service every day. As we were B&B, we didn't eat in the restaurant at night. But the breakfasts were very good and to everyone's taste.



Only fault was the entertainment at night - it was pathetic. 2 Amateurs (or they acted like amateurs) looking after the entertainment side. We decided to check it out 2 of the nights and it was awful. Who wants to go on a holiday and be entertained at night by playing BINGO or another game like NAME THAT TUNE? So boring, we had one drink and headed out!



I would definitely recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness, friendliness of staff and position but they need to sort out their entertainment programme, or you can just head out every night like we did.

First Time Traveller in Es Cana

Just got back from a great holiday at the Serenis Coral Playa.



It’s the second time we have been and we enjoyed it just as much this time, friendly helpful staff, great entertainment staff, both Anita and Hannah a credit to the hotel. Food ok we realise it’s hard to please everyone, but plenty of choice and very clean.



The children had a great time in the pool, which is supervised by a lifeguard , very important with small children. All in all a great holiday and I would recommend this hotel.

This was the first time I have stayed at this hotel but will definitely be going back.


The rooms and maid service were excellent

Bar staff were excellent and very friendly. The bar area was kept very clean.


Anita and Hannah did a great job with the daily activities and an excellent job with the various shows that were on in the evenings. There was a variety of acts that covered everyone’s taste.


The reception staff were very friendly and because they spoke English if you had any problems they were dealt with quickly and efficiently.


The only negative comment I would make is that there could have been a little more choice of plain food for children ie, chicken nuggets or fish fingers but as the hotel was quite quiet maybe this is why the choice was a little limited. But on the whole the food was very good and the restaurant was spotless.

Stayed at the Serenis for a week half board, food basic but ok could not have handled 2 weeks eating it though.



Entertainment was great and the 2 Toms who were entertainment guys were fantastic and loved by adults and children alike. Pool nice although it did get really crowded and hectic, although it was school hols!! Seemed to be lots of loud boisterous 12-13 year old lads when we were there, playing lots of football and splashing away in the pool like mad and all having great fun.


Rooms very small but really nice and clean, lovely bathrooms. Reception staff not the best at customer service I have ever met but did the job all the same.


First choice kids club was great and my friend’s little girl who was with us adored it and really came out of her shell the week we were there. I would say that this hotel is good for families as everything here to suit needs. Not great if you want quiet get away from it all accommodation though.
