Just got back from our second visit to Coral Beach hotel Es Cana. Last year was excellent but what a dramatic change in one year.
The smell of sewage outside this hotel is awful. No kids club or activities for the children. Entertainment was cancelled two nights in a row. Rude surely staff, Food was average no variety each night the same. Drinks very expensive. No management visible to voice complaints .
Seems this hotel has given up. We go to Ibiza each year but will not be going back to this excuse for a hotel again!!
Avoid at costs!

we got put in this hotel at the last minute because hotel portinax was overbooked the smell of sewage right outside the hotel is terrible food is awful it is never hot only warm there is nothing for the kids to do except the pool (which you are not allowed to have inflatables of any kind)hotel is clean and staff are friendly but on the last day of your AI it is only valid til 12 noon so if you have a night flight you can`t get food or drink all afternoon (unless you pay for it.

just got back from the coral beach hotel Ibiza the only good thing i can say about it was that it was clean the staff were very rude spoke in Spanish so that you could not understand them the food was disgusting if you did not like chips then you did not eat we resorted to eat out even though we were all inclusive.
outside the hotel the sewers smell really bad you have to cross over the road it makes you feel sick.
the entertainment was rubbish started at 10 30 the AI finished at 11 so if you wanted to watch the rubbish you had to pay for drinks.
the snack bar closed at 6 30 so you could not have any snacks after tea time.
very poor service.
we have been to this hotel three times it has recently changed hands we will never go there again.

My wife and i went for 1 week early summer 2009, i had previously requested a room 1st or 2nd floor as we are both dissabled,we got 5th floor ,told might be able to change midweek but never did! hired a car couldnt park near the hotel, had to park 2 streets away.asked for a sea view room, got a room overlooking the woods! food was pretty good, but by the time you had collected it found your seat and started eating the aircon was soooo cold it had chilled all the hot food on your plate.the walls are really thin, my neighbours hicups kept me awake one night.hippy market expensive, eating out most places expensive[ euro exchange hasnt helped, but £1.60 for a mars bar!! come on!!?]i have been to ibiza 5 times in all, this hotel and the caribe in es cana are the worst i have known.if you want somewhere nice try serenis seaview country club in port des torrent. Its not the cheapest but you will know why when you spend a week or two there.

We arrived at the coral playa 21/10/09 and left 31/10/09 the hotel was clean, food could have been a lot better, the rooms were very clean and round the pool was clean. when it got to the middle of our stay around 26/10/09 everything started to go down hill there was no cutlery, cups, plates or glasses in the restaurant. On 30/10/09 the sun loungers from around the pool were taken away, the snacks stopped starting at the right time, there was no entertainment after 24/10/09. On 31/10/09 the bar was closed and it was being cleaned the night before all the drinks from behind the bar had gone. On our last day you couldnt go out to the pool go in the bar or eat in the restaurant after breakfast we were informed that the hotel was closing at 12noon and no-one would be allowed in after that time. Pleople still at the hotel until the early morning of 01/11/09 would have to go to another hotel to eat and drink. The hotel overall could be considerably better.

I've just returned from a week at the Coral Playa and it was brilliant. The hotel is cleaned to a very high standard and the rooms are spacious. The reception girls are helpful but the same can't be said for all the bar staff!
The quality of food is excellent, however is does start to get a bit repetitive and 1 week of it was just enough. There is a snack bar next to the pool that offers burgers, chips and sandwches until 10pm every night.
The entertainment team work really hard and there are plenty of games during the day to join in with. The night time entertainment isn't amazing - kids mini disco, bingo and then either a quiz or parrot show.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town centre - all less than 5 minutes walk away. There's an amazing bar/restaurant overlooking the Cala Nova beach called Zen Sea which is worth a visit. Not much to do in Es Cana itelf but there are so many ferry trips and excursions that you can go on that you'll always have something to do. The hippy market on Wednesdays is great, but take food and water with you as the cafe's are quite expensive.

We spent a week at this hotel and had a wonderful time. It was the first time I have genuinely not wanted to go home. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The food was good; three out of our party of nine are very fussy eaters and they found something to eat at every meal time.
The hotel is brilliantly situated with easy access to the beaches and shops. We enjoyed the entertainment, my only criticism would be that the entertainment starts very late and the kids struggled to stay awake although they desperately wanted to watch it.
All in all I wouls recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were friendly and it was also very secure so you don't have to worry too much about the kids. Would definitely visit again.

I really enjoyed this holiday it was one of my favourites however the hotel did have afew downfalls. The food was nice, not an amazing choice but if you didn't fany anything in the restaurant then there was the snack bar, but again not loads to choose from. Being there for 1 week we found ourselves eating out for 3 of those nights.
The hotel was really really clean, well done to the maids they do a good job, however the room walls were paper thin and you can hear your neighbours quite easily, as we both found....
The sea front is amazing, so close to the hotel and its a lovely stroll at night. I would recommend this hotel, especially to families who just want to stay local.

Four of us have just returned from a week fully inclusive at the Coral Playa Hotel in Es Cana, Ibiza and had a wonderful time.
The food was plentiful and excellent and if you didn't fancy a full meal in the restaurant there was the snack bar which was open most of the day and supplied burgers, hot-dogs and toasted sandwiches. The hotel even supplied a packed lunch for us when we went out for the day.
The rooms were spacious, cleaned every day and all had balconies.
The only down-side was that when we first checked in we were given 2 rooms facing outwards towards a service road. However they found 2 rooms facing the swimming pool a few days later for us.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the animation team were not pushy and allowed you to carry on relaxing if you wanted.
Entertainment was disappointing but this did not detract from our enjoyment.

just got back last night from a 2 week all inclusive stay at coral beach with my husband and stepson (10). the hotel is still lovely and clean, as is the pool area. this was my 5th visit to this hotel, and was no different to my last stay in 2008. not much entertainment, although Mara did her very best. my stepson had a whale of a time in the pool, we couldn't get him out of it. people were complaining about the food, some said there wasn't enough choice or that it was cold.......we found something to eat every meal time, and we never had cold food. i nearly burned my tongue on a sausage, and the roast pork was bubbling in the dish. if we didn't fancy a big lunch we had a snack from the snack bar, which was excellent. the staff are very friendly and they are there if you need anything. we will definitely be going back
