It was the 3rd time i have been to this hotel, and this time i went for 2 weeks.

The cleaniness of the hotel was exquisite and the maids must have reallly worked hard.

The entertainers were great and they were lovely when looking after the kids.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM HOTEL TANIT AND HAD A FABULOUS TIME! IT HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS ABROAD WE HAVE STAYED IN WE HAD A PARTY OF 2 SENIOR CITIZENS 2 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN 15 YEAR AND 10 YEAR. THE HOTEL WAS SPOTLESS THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS EXCELLENT LOVELY HOT WEATHER AND THE FOOD WAS AMAZING MY MOM AND YOUNGER SON WHO ARE VERY FUSSY EATERS ABROAD COULD NOT FAULT THE FOOD ALWAYS SOMETHING TO CHOOSE FROM. THIS HOTEL CATERS FOR THE ENGLISH EVEN GOT ENGLISH SAUSAGE! THE BALCONYS WERE GOOD WE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER AND SAT OUT TIL 12AM CHATTING WE EVEN HAD FIREWORKS DISPLAY TWO NIGHTS WHICH WAS AMAZING. ANY ONE LOOKING TO BOOK THE TANIT I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WE WENT LAST WEEK OF AUGUST AND IT WAS NOT OVER CROWDED AS STATED IN SOME REVIEWS YOU COULD ALWAYS GET A DRINK AT THE BARS WITH VERY LITTLE WAIT IF ANY. THE TRIP TO SAN ANTONIO BY FERRY BOAT WAS AWESOME WELL WORTH 3 EUROS. ONLY ONE SHOP BY HOTEL BUT 15MIN WALK AWAY YOU WILL FIND MORE TO LOOK AROUND. HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND WE HAD FULL USE OF THE POOL AREAS WE FOUND NO RESTRICTIONS AT ALL WE USED THE POOL OUTSIDE CALA GRACIO ON THE FIRST DAY AND HAD NO PROBLEMS ALTHOUGH VERY QUIET THE KIDS WANTED TO BE UP BY THE BIG POOL MORE THINGS GOING ON. WE WOULD BOOK THIS HOTEL AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION.

I booked this holiday after having the Hotel recommended and I was not disappointed. We are a family of four and have just returned. Our children aged 11 and 9 absolutely loved it. We did not see them for most of the time. They joined in with all the activities, and followed the entertainment staff around from one activity to another.

The children really enjoyed the evening entertainment, can't say the same for the adults though! We spent the first week relaxing and playing cards and most of the second week watching our success in the Olympics.

The Hotel was excellent. The staff were fantastic, they were polite and helpful, kept high standards of cleanliness and the food was excellent, although repetative.

The probelm of sunbeds naturally occured, and some guest were reserving with towels on both sides of the pool, so they could catch morning and afternoon sun. However things did improve after the security guard would not let any be reserved until after 8.00a.m. But the terrace always had plenty of seats [in the sun], so we often sat there with drinks and reading material. If we really wanted sunbeds, there were always plenty on the beach.

My only complaints are really with the tour operator. I found the plane grubby, and the food the worst ever. The trip to the hippy market and then to the water park. although good value for money, when compared with the hiring of cars or taxis, was tedious as it took 1 hour 50 mins on the coach to reach the first destination. The tour operator said this was because of the amount of traffic. Also the cost of everything at the hippy market is more expensive than locally in San Antonio, because it is such a tourist attraction. The water park is a must, queues were short and plenty to do. The tour operator said that a couple of hours there was plently of time [as this was how long you got when you booked their trip], but we could honestly have spent much longer there. The only negative for me personally is that the pools are all salt water.

Overall a fantastic holiday, and I definitely would book a Fiesta Hotel again.

Do not listen to any negative comments about this hotel. The only reason i gave it a 9 is because the entertainment used to be outside which would have made it a 10, but is now inside.

Hotel is lovely after recent refurbishment. We were on top floor with 2 children (3 and 1). Lifts were fantastic, never had to wait. Food was fantastic and you must be very fussy if you say otherwise. Fresh fruit, full english, croissants, omelettes, pancakes etc for breakfast. dinners and evening meals had such a variety. always something for the kids. sausage, chicken nuggets, pizza, roast dinners, lasagne, shepherds pie. wine and beer and soft drinks which you could help yourself too. slush puppies near the pool bar for kids. you could add a bit of vodka for the adults!

still sunbeds left at 8.30 when we used to go down. you could get them a little later but at the back in the more shady bit. pool lovely and kids loved the kiddy pool. nice patio area at the top which had the shadey bit and also the bit near pool tables etc. little play area and mini golf for the kids. you could also use the pool next door which was at the cala gracio hotel. never used it but looked quiet and had a waterfall. you could also upgrade to the cala gracio hotel for a small charge. not much. think it was something like 15 euros a night.

had parrot show at the hotel whilst we were there and had some photos took with kids holding them etc. showed the euro 2008 final in the entertainment room. plenty of seats in there. all inclusive drinks very good. if you wanted vodka and lemonade etc ask for them seperately. small plastic cups were filled 3/4 with vodka and rest lemonade!

shop accross the road. reasonable priced. sold cigarettes under the counter as you couldn't get them in the hotel.

lovely private beach through hotel grounds and down some steps. very quiet and a real sun trap. kids loved looking for fish etc. could also hire pedalos. also if you go out of the hotel and turn right and go straight accross the road, you come to some cliffs with lovely views over to san antonio. there is a little sea life centre and you can catch the boat to san an. family used to jump off the cliffs. it was lovely. spotted on jelly fish though!

san antonio about a 20 min walk with kids. about 5 or 6 euros in a taxi. nice to go at night when they have the fountains on and stalls selling jewellery etc. watched the sunset in one of the cafes. beautiful! absolutely stunning!

loved this hotel and thinking about booking for next year. you will not be dissapointed!

This is the first holiday where we could have stayed another 2 weeks and not got bored. After reading last years reviews we were dreading it to say the least. We were a party of 7, 5 adults and a 13 and 10 year old (whom we hardly saw for 10 days) The place was teaming with children of all ages and everyday there were tears at the entrance as the children waved new friends off home. The hotel and rooms are spotless, the food was fantastic and the entertainment was very good, the team worked extremly hard both day and night. There are plently of hotel staff so there's no waiting for tables, food, drinks etc. The tanit pool is very busy but the pool next door is quite relaxing and more suitable for smaller children, both are supervised by life guards until 6 at night. The location is great, right next door to the beach and there is a ferry to San Antonio within 5 mins. I felt my children were quite safe within the hotel and because of the location (no shops or bars etc) they never ventured outside of the main entrance. All in all we were expecting the worse but ended up having a fantastic time. If you have children of all ages, like good value for money, spotlessly clean rooms and decent food and drink then this is the place for you. A++++ P.S. It was 30 - 35 degrees everyday.

READ SOME BAD REVIEWS BEFORE LEAVING WALES BUT MY FEARS WERE SOON PUT TO ONE SIDE AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL. THE HOTEL HAS BEEN IMMACULATELY REFURBISHED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND NICELY FURBISHED AND DEORATED.YOU CAN BASICLY EAT FROM 8AM RIGHT THROUGH TILL 9.30 PM EVEN AFTER THAT SANDWICHES ARE AVAILABLE AND ALSO ICECREAM FOR THE KIDS. THE FOOD IS VERY NICE WITH A WIDE RANGE TO SUITE BOTH YOUNG AND OLD AND EVEN THE FUSSY EATERS. THE ENTERTAINMENT GOES ON ALL DAY FROM ARCHERY TO WATER POLO AND PISTOL SHOOTING TO POOL SIDE GAMES ALL AIMED AT THE FAMILY. THE EVENING ENTERTAINMENT IS OK BUT THE KIDS LOVED IT WHICH IS REALLY WHAT COUNTS. IN ALL THERE WERE 6 SWIMMING POOLS THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS SPACE YOU NEED TO GET UP PRETTY EARLY TO RESERVE YOURSELVES A SPOT BY THE POOLS ,SPACE IS AT A PREMIUM I WAS GOING DOWN AT ABOUT 7.30 WITH ALL MY TOWELS A BIT EMBARASSING BUT IF YOU DIDNT YOU WOULD BE TO FAR AWAY FROM THE POOL TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE KIDS AND NOT BE ABLE TO RELAX. THE HOTEL BOASTS A BEAUTIFUL BEACH LITERALLY A MINUTES WALK FROM THE LOWER POOLS THE WATER IS AS CLEAN AS CAN BE AND YOU CAN ALSO HIRE PEDALOS. THE VIEWS OF THE SUNSET FROM THE BALCANYS IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (WHO NEEDS MAMBO OR DELMAR). THE HOTEL IS SITUATED ABOUT A 25 MINUTE WALK FROM SAN ANTONIO TOWN OR YOU CAN CATCH A BOAT ACROSS FOR ABOUT 5 EUROS RETURN WHICH IS WHAT WE DONE IT WAS MUCH EASIER ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS AND THE WEATHER IS VERY HOT AND IF YOU WANT TO GO TO THE BAY JUST JUMP ON ANOTHER BOAT OVERALL WE HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY LOTS OF R&R LOTS OF FOOD AND DRINK

Spent a week AI at Tanit from 12th July. Family of 4 with kids 10 and 14 Hotel is in quiet area beyond San Antonio which is 15 min walk away. We found a good mix of families with only small amount of young teams kicking about.Food was excellent as was bar staff service and rooms were spacious and spotless. 3 lifts all rapid response. Short walk to 2 lovely beaches. Don't be put off with old negative critics although the walls were paper thin and this could cause a problem if you had noisy neighbours. You can walk to Centre or get a ferry for 3 euros which is a pleasant trip. Fantastic views of sun setting and some lovely walks about beach front. Whole family loved it and would return.

After reading all reviews on internet, we arrived at the Fiesta Tanit with an open mind.Got there, thought what a lovely place only been opened a couple of weeks.Room lovely and clean till you looked a little closer at things.First two days great, then everything started going down hill. The entertainment was a lot to be desired, not for us i'm afraid.Don,t get me wrong i am easily pleased but there is only a certain amount of miming you can stomach.Food got really monotonous, chicken at every meal time, same deserts every day. Some days it was hard to put a meal together.Ther was six of us in our party, and one by one we ended up with dicky stomachs. My husband started a couple of days after we came home, ended up going to the doctor really ill, had tests done and they came back with that he had Campylobacter.A severe diarrhoea illness.A visit from the local council Food Safety Officer confirmed this, and she said it was likely brought back from Ibiza. She advised us to let Thomsons know of this, which i did.My advice to anyone going to this hotel, please be aware of our situation, people were dropping like fly,s.We wont be going back to Ibiza as we thought it was quite a mucky place anyway, just like britain in some places plenty of dog crap.

I thought I would write a review to put everyone's minds at rest who have booked to go to this hotel and have read the previous review. We had a 2 week holiday there in May and it seems that all of the problems from last year have been sorted out.

We had complete access to all of the Pools and all areas of the hotel that were open to Guest. The food at this hotel is outstanding normally I am bored by day 3 or 4 but I was still enjoying the food at the end of the 2nd week and my wasit line certainly knew about it. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. My only complaint is that the walls to the rooms are very thin!! and you can hear the rest of the hotel.

Overall a good holiday and I would re-book to go back to this hotel.

Just looking to book another family holiday at the Tanit, we had a brilliant time in september 06 but after reading the reviews and the changes to the hotel, I have decided not to bother. The grounds and small pool were lovely and far more suitable for granny and young children than the busier large(?) pool. I have to feel sorry for the staff as I found them to be polite and friendly and must be fed up of the complaints they received, oh well back to Portinax

This is a very nice hotel gone very bad. The reviews for 06 were very good and on this basis we booked up. The majority of the comments were still true.

The food was excellent and you could not fault it at all. The cleanliness was very good and the staff were friendly and polite BUT the sunbed situation was out of control.

Although you could not reserve sunbeds people were actually reserving their 'sunbed space' on the terrace. My children were 7 and 2 at the time and could not even reach the baby pool due to the wall of sunbeds, and on quite a few occasions were faced with grown men sitting drinking beer in the pool - NICE!

The reps did not want to know at all even though I am still positive it broke health and safety rules. As for the beach yes it was walkable but not all young children like the beach in the med sun - or adults!

The evening entertainment was ok; my 7 year old enjoyed it. As it is an all-inclusive hotel a lot of parents seem to just abandon their kids for the night and were often out playing until the early hours. The faux leather seats in the reception and lobby were ran across by teenagers regularly.

The view overlooking the bay is spectacular and I must admit that as soon as you closed the balcony door you could not hear a pin drop but.

I will not be going back again.

Just about recovered after two weeks at the Tanit, all the bad reports are true.

The sun-bed situation was a joke as stated previously, so annoyed that the French had the run of the Tanit but we couldn’t use the Cala Gracio facilities and the noise, well we hardly slept for two weeks.

Good points: the hotel was clean and the maids came in every day.

The food was as good as anywhere we have been previously.

The beaches were clean and no sign of jellyfish, but all things considered we won’t be going back.

I just came back today! 1st Oct 2007 ... and would just like to say it was one of the best holidays I have had. And I mostly go in 4* hotels.

The entertainment was good, food was good only thing that was just okay was the accommodation itself as there were hardly any shops about. But the most you had to walk was about 10 minutes, so it wasn’t even that bad!
