Absolutly fabulous!!! = D

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday to Ibiza where we stayed in Hotel Tanit. The hotel is very good for families with children or even for people without. It is suitable for anyone looking for a relaxing two weeks whilst the kids are kept entertained and the adults can even take part in a wide range of activities. The activities consist of darts, mini golf, archery, rifle shooting, pool, ping pong, football, volleyball, fun games, champagne game, water polo and French boules. Even if you are really rubbish at these activities you must take part in them because it is a great way to meet new people and make new friends. The activities are spread about the day so there’ll never be a moment where there is nothing to do. The fiesta fun team made the holiday complete as they all had fantastic personalities and they made an effort to bond with everyone. For each of the activities there is a male and female winner. They are rewarded by being presented with a certificate and a fantastic bombastic (crap) bottle of champagne! The lucky winners are called up on stage as the evening entertainment begins and they all dance the fiesta dance on stage. Do not try running away from your moment on stage as we have already tried it and it does not work. They will hunt you down and make you do the dance!!! It’s all in the aid of fun and is very amusing to do. There are 7 entertainers which all go out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable throughout the day. They have made our holiday as great as it has been. All the children are not excluded from this fun, as there are children’s clubs for various ages packed full of activities to keep them entertained throughout the day. The children will also each get a t-shirt showing which group they are in. The evening entertainment is the best part of the day. We recommend that you get a table with a good view at 7pm and take a pack of cards to keep you entertained until the mini disco starts at about half 8. Some nights there are professional shows performed by professional dancers but the best shows are the ones when the fiesta entertainment group performs a show. It is highly amusing and thoroughly enjoyable. For the lion king show, your children can take part and can even wear costumes and have their face painted, to make them feel involved. The shows usually last about an hour and start at 10. Before the main show starts you are kept entertained by quizzes and bingo and for the children they have a mini disco. However the mini disco is not just for the children the adults can join in too!!! As it is an all inclusive hotel you can eat as much as you like at anytime between 8am till midnight as there are snacks available most times during the day and even when the restaurant is closed, sandwiches are available at the bar until midnight. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a large choice of foods consisting of two types of soup, selection of cold foods, various hot dishes, children’s menu and a speciality table at dinner. The waiting staffs are very punctual in clearing up the tables after you have finished eating. You can get free drinks up to midnight and then you will have to pay for the drinks in the inside bar. The bar staff are very cheerful and make your visit to the bar enjoyable. However you can only get two drinks at a time from the bar as you are not aloud to accumulate them but most people do. The rooms were just the right size to fit four adults in and more storage space would have been handy (although we did bring an excessive amount of clothes!) The beds were quite comfy and made it easy to get a good night sleep. The air conditioning was very refreshing and has been a great improvement since the last time we visited 7 years ago. Our balcony had a pool view, which was super. We would recommend you spend a bit extra to get one. The maids who regularly tided the room were very friendly and were very good at their job. The pool is nice and clean and there is a toddler’s pool, a slightly deeper and larger pool and the main pool. The sun beds surrounding the pool are difficult to get as people rush early in the morning to get one then reserve them with a towel! The location was excellent as it was just 1-minute walk from the nice peaceful beach, which was for residents of the hotel only. The only downside about the beach has to pay for the sun beds but just lying on a towel for free is quite sufficient. The water is clean and full of fish, which is good for all you snorkelling fans. We were lucky enough not to encounter any jellyfish as we did last time we came. If you prefer going out at night, San Antonio is just 20minutes walk or 5 minutes in a taxi costing only 5 euros. Don't miss out on San Antonio because it is a must see at night. The drinks in most bars are very cheap but don't be caught out because after midnight they can get more expensive Overall are stay at hotel Tanit was extremely enjoyable and we have already booked to go there next year. We greatly recommend that you stay in this hotel as we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. A+++++++++++++++++++++++

We had been to this hotel last & really enjoyed it. It was nice to see the place had been done up since we were last year! Air-conditioning in the rooms was a god send. The staff were as friendly as ever & it was nice to see all the familiar faces from the previous year. The boys were a bit disappointed that Jumbo Jenny has moved on to another hotel (even though they are far too old for the kids club!) Evening entertainment could have been better but then you don't have to stay in the hotel. This is the only hotel we have ever stayed in twice and I have to say I definately think we'll be making it a third time. It's a great hotel for couples, families & kids of all ages (our two are going on 16)
Excellent Hotel !

We have recently returned from an all inclusive 2 week break in the hotel tanit in cala gracio, ibiza. Considering it is only a 3 star hotel i couldnt beleive how lovely it was. I was expecting the decor to be very 1970's from the previous reviews i have read but we found it had recently been refurbished and was now presented with lovely creams and terracotta rooms with air conditiong and a ceiling fan. Also the bathrooms were immaculate. The facilities were very good indeed - everything was kept clean to a very high standard - the pool was cleaned every evening and toilets evey half hour. The staff were constantly cleaning any little bit of mess up too. The food was amazing, with full continental breakfasts, dinner, afternoon snacks, evening meals - all with lots of choice. Packed lunches were also made up free of charge if you took a day out somewhere else. I have never been abroad before and was a little anxious on going all inclusive - this was due to hearing different stories about foreign food. I was pleased that nobody was 'ill' in the two weeks through hotel food. A little path at the bottom of the hotel grounds lead you to a beautiful little beach where we snorkled with lots of little fishes. The waters are very clean, warm and clear. We also hired a pedalo for 1 hour and discovered the rocks just out from the shore. My only faults were that the hotel staff put a lot of ice in the drinks which seemed to water them down. Also the staff could have been a little more pleasant, but other than that GREAT HOTEL - its deffinately a must for ALL age groups. Ibiza is a beautiful island with lots and lots to do. The sunsets were amazing!!! In our 2 weeks we did parasailing at sunset in San Antonio, went to the Aguamar waterpark in Playa Den Bossa, took a day out in Portinax taxied by a glass bottom catamaran, went to a go-cart park not far from San Antonio, went on a banana boat ride in Portinax, went on a stunt boat ride in San antonio where we were took to Es Vedra, an ancient rock that sticks up 400meters above the Meditteranean sea - it is apparently the 3rd most magnetic point in the world and the pirates used to use it as a hiding place before attacking other ships. Not to mention the lovely town of Eivissa, the original town of Ibiza. The town is full of lovely shops and we also ventured to the top of the cliff to visit some ancient ruins - when at the top we found some amazing views overlooking the sea. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would deffinately return - someday ! ! A++++++

i have just returned with my family from hotel tanit .the hotel is located in a quaint resort of el gracio about a 15 min walk or even better a10 min water taxi to san antonio;dont believe the horror stories it is very enjoyable destonation during the day.a beach is situated 3 mins from the hotel and is very safe and do attmpt the snorkelling.rooms in the hotel are agood size daily maid service and has excellent air-con no problems sleeping.entertainment came in two guises hotel based staff who were enthusiastic and energetic (kids disco a good example); professional acts brought in could and should have been better.thompson run kids club were a godsend my kids aged 9 and 6 really enjoyed them.pool was a generous size and anice touch no lilos allowed . pool area did become extremley busy sun beds were being reserved by 8.05 in the morning .good range of activites organised by entertainment staff during the day.we stayed on an all inclusive package wich i would recomend especially with kids .food was average compared to previously hotels i have stayed at;snacks during the day were poor.drinks were fine but only allowed two at any time wich some people found annoying.overall i would recomend this hotel especially to people with families

We (myself and my family of 4), have just returned from a fortnight break at the Tanit and overall I have to say it was money well spent. On first impressions the Hotel is spotlessly clean with a smiling welcome at reception, which was nice after a long journey! The rooms are basic but very comfortable, with Air Con fitted and hairdryers for the ladies!! A daily maid service kept the room very clean and fresh, with fresh linen and clean towels. The Hotel staff work tirelessly around the clock, sometimes from Breakfast through till 1am, at which time the inside Bar closes, but they still encourage a smile and a "hola" when you pass them. The food is of high quality, although, the childrens menu needs looking at as it didn't appeal to my two... need more chicken nuggets, beans and other kiddie bites!! The Entertainment is good throughout the day, with games for both adults and children, and the winners are rewarded each evening with prizes. The evening entertainment could be better!! It is entertaining when it starts but the're is no continuity to it, too many breaks inbetween left everyone restless. And finally, the excursions on offer from the Thomson Reps can be found alot cheaper at reception. e.g. We paid nearly 100 Euro for a trip to the AquaMar, only to find if you book through Fiesta (reception) you will pay alot, lot less. Overall this was a great holiday, nice staff, good food (if not for the kids) Clean rooms and a great view.
Great Entertainment

My Family and I(2 Adults & 2 Children 10+8)have jusy returned from a weeks holiday at this Hotel.Firstly can i say we had a great time, the hotel is very clean and tidy and all the staff are very friendly. Our room was kept spotless and beds made and towels changed daily. The pools were ideal for young and older children and we found the nicer/quieter pool was the Cala Gracio Hotel which was right next door. The beach is a stones throw away which is a small cove but adequate for what we wanted. The highlight of our Holiday was the non-stop entertainment with BT as the entertainment manager she ran her team smoothly. The team consisted of all nationalities who all spoke good English and were all brilliant and friendly. The only downside to this Hotel was the food,it was very average, there wasn`t much choice, some of the meats weren`t cooked properly but if you liked salad this was the menu for you as the choice was endless. We would recommend this hotel and if you fancy going on a diet of salad you can holiday and lose weight at the same time which most other holiday`s you can`t. The Marshalls-Cardiff
good value all round

DATE.... October 2004 A Trip Adviser User Our original hotel was cancelled and we were given the Tanit as an alternative hotel. My wife and I and our 10yr. old son duly arrived not knowing what to expect. Our trepidation however was unfounded as it was as our son said "the best holiday we have had".This is a hotel which caters for families, couples and singles. We met lots of people and enjoyed there company and our son was thouroughly entertained from morning till evening by the entertainment team. The food was plentiful and was quite varied and ice creams were avaliable all day for kids, which was a godsend for us as our son loves the stuff. The drinks were all locally produced and plentiful and we thought the bar staff were very friendly. They even made kids cocktails and span the bottles around which the kids loved. The hotel location was perfect because it was about a 20minute walk or a 5 minute cab ride(about 5 euros) to the heart of san antonio . This meant that you were sure of a good nights sleep. The entertainment at night was in our opinion below average but your on holiday so who really cares. Its what you make of it.The hotel could also do with a refurbishment but as i understood this was already ongoing as we were there so that was good to here. All in all an enjoyable holiday and with news that it was being refurbished we would definately go back.
great value for money and one of the best!!

I went to Hotel Tanit around the 20th of September 2004, a bit late in the season but well worth the trip. I've been all over the place for holidays in the past and found this one of the best. I went with my partner (Kirsty) and our 8 year old daughter (Ezzy), my partners parents even decided to tag along for an end of year break. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised by the whole place, I was really dubious after watching things like "Ibiza Uncovered" and my previous experiences of Spanish resorts such as Lorret and Benidorm, they all seemed really “in your face” so I chose places like Greece, Turkey and the Canaries for a lot of years instead, but I decided to swallow my pride and give it a try…….. I couldn't believe it. I like a drink when I’m away and I could drink from morning till night at the Tanit as it's all inclusive (my first time A/I), as long as your done by midnight when the outside bar closes or you get moved to the indoor bar where you need to pay for your drinks, I even impressed the in laws by offering to get every round :-). As for the food, I went there as a passenger and came back as freight cargo :-), I couldn't stop eating, the food's great, lots to choose from. The rooms, a bit older in style but very clean with a good view, TV and fridge, the bathroom was really up to date and modern, but hey, you don't go on holiday to sit in your room, it's only a place to dump your suitcases, 3 S’s and get changed. I'm going back there this year for 2 weeks (sept. 2005) and if you’re still not convinced, even the in laws are going to do it again this year as they loved the taxi boat into town everyday and entertainment at the hotel, the crew who do the entertainment are funny to the max. Need a break from the kids, dump them in the kids club, they’ll come back with a smile and a load of colouring books and hats and T shirt, they love it, they even do a chocolate eating day for them…..YUK! Like swimming? the sea’s the warmest sea I’ve swam in and great for snorkelling or scuba and the beaches all over the Island are pure sand, most other places are pebbles, shale or shingle and not nice on your feet. For the younger crowd, there is huge clubbing in Ibiza but it’s not in your face, it’s out in the country, I’ve never sampled it only ‘coz I’m getting a bit older and more sensible now but 10 years ago there’d be no stopping me. Another huge +++ for Ibiza is that it’s only 2 hours from the UK, why go further! To sum it up, I didn’t realise there was somewhere so nice, so close to home! Give it a try and I hope you enjoy!
better second time around

hotel tanit, excellent second time round. I went there in june/july 2004 and again in sept 2004. yes the rooms could do with some new decor but they are clean and comfortable. entertainment was good (long tired hours for the entertainment staff) food was excellent and plentiful and you could eat all day if you wanted to. swimming pool was very clean and safe and excellent outdoor activities. I have recommended this hotel to lots of people and i will come back.
