Just returned from tsokkos beach. This was our second visit to protarus. We loved it so much last year we came straight back. First time at this hotel though. Rooms are a little dated and my sister, her husband and 14 year old son had same size room as just my husband and I. Third bed was a camp bed which lots of people complained about but the rep sorted an extra mattress which made camp bed more comfortable. Pool was excellent. Spacious and the water polo etc didn't get in the way.
All inclusive was well worth the money. There was plenty of food choice which was in the main quite good, in fact better than other hotels I have been too. The snacks available though the say were lovely and made to order.
Leanne and Malky as entertainers did a fantastic job. They worked so hard in unbearable heats.
If you have time and money I would highly recommend the mountain jeep safari. It was the best day of the holiday.
Drinks had a good choice with a great cocktail menu!!!!!!! Bar staff worked relentlessly. They never had a day off in the two weeks we were there. They were a bit frosty when you first arrived but got more and more friendly as they got to know you.
There are more tsokkos hotels in the immediate vacinity which looked a bit more upmarket (Odessa).
All in all a great holiday.

This is my 3rd yr in Protaras and my 2nd yr at this hotel.Just as good as last year but the entertainment staff were better this year and worked very hard and were a good double act very funny. The Hotel and the staff as last year gave 110% to guest and worked really hard, this includes from chambermaids to reception restaraunt kitchen and bar staff and maintence staff.Good to see the managers on the shop floor working as well when needed I cannot fault this holiday.Bar staff where I spent a lot of the time were great and friendly and nice to see the same faces from the year before. If I can afford to will be back next year for another great holiday Thank you everyone there for making my holiday so good

Just returned from 2 weeks at this fab hotel with my family and friends (ages between 65 to 4 years) we all had a great time, I have worked in travel for over 20 years so I am quite hard to please. Hotel is in a great position, very close to centre and also 1 minute to the beach. Hotel staff are very friendly always happy to help, bar staff are lovely too, especially Yan and Editya. Entertainment is brill Leanne and Malky work really hard to keep everyone entertained adults and kids, the best entertainment team I have seen in a hotel.
Hotel room are very spacious and cleaned everyday, pool area is lovely plenty of beds, pool is fantastic and a great size. Overall hotel was great and we will definately be returning in october. Also hotel is having a refurbishment in november so will be even better.

malcie and leanne ,the entertainers are to be congratulated . Malcie for his organizational and comedy skills, and Leanne for her singing. They are good individually, but BRILIANT together. They are by far the best hotel based entertainment team I have experienced.Thomas Cook are very lucky to have such a good team, and also the person responsible for pairing them together should also be congratulated..
The hotel itself felt a bit tired, sunbed and umbrellas need renewing ect.. Jimbo, the last commenter had the option to move to a more quiet location during the day so seemed happy overall. This is a family hotel and lively behavior and noise must be expected. Well don Malcie and Leanne (TOP ENTERTAINMENT TEAM)

Hi, just got back from the Tsokkos Beach Hotel, fab hotel and staff, food was great, but if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday dont go to this hotel. DJ Marky and Leah-Ann will burst your ear drums from 11.00 till 14.30.then some more in the evening. After Hotel management and rep asked for music to be reduced when there was no pool games on, 5 mins later turned back up.
My party and another 7 at times were forced to go to next hotel for peace and quiet, not what brochure read.

July 2010. we have just got back from tsokkos beach and what a great time we had.
Rooms were pretty basic, but comfortable. If you like a cuppa then take your own kettle as there isnt one in room.
All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.and the hotel in general was very clean and tidy.
Food was a bit hit and miss, although it was more hit. There was plenty of selections to choose from and had the usual kids menus ie. chicken nuggats, pizza chips ect.
The pool area was spot on, very clean and the beautiful beach is a one minuite walk across the green.
Entertainment was the usual, bingo, karaoke, childens discos,
occasional group but most of all Leanne and Malky the entertainment team were superb. They definately made our holiday all the more special. They were top clas. All in all this is a nice hotel, with the centre of Protaras right on the doorstep if you care to take a wonder. My husband and I will definatel be going back again in the future.

Ive just got back from a weeks stay at the Tsokkos Beach Hotel in Protaras.
Hotel: Lovely hotel, very friendly staff (maybe a little over friendly, i.e if a male goes to the bar on his own a couple of the barmaids are all over them flirting like ive never seen, the same goes for the barman who works at night with the women, but if you dont encourage them they soon get the message!).
Previous reviews have said that the hotel requires redecoration, i think this might have been done now ready for this season as it looked lovely. The rooms are no where near 1970's look as previous people have stated. Just the bog standard blue and yellow curtain etc. Maybe its the dark wood wardrobes in the room.
The only thing that spoilt the room was the drainage in the bath while having a shower, i by no means spend hour in there and after 5 minutes your knee deep in your shower water, very dangerours so wear your flip flops!
The only thing id say is if you like to get to bed before 1230am then request a room thats not overlooking the pool as the musics blaring until 1230ish each night.
Food: When i first arrived and had my first evening meal i was a little disappointed with the choices at meal times. After the second day tho it seemed to get better. I think i was comparing it to my previous stay at a 4 star hotel in tenerife where it was food galore!
The food that was there was lovely. They have a themed night every night cypriot, international, italian, chinese etc. If your a cakey person make the most of it at brekfast time as there are more deserts to be had then than anyother time of the day.
At lunch and dinner wait to be seated at a table by the head waiter (we didnt know this the first few nights) because he gets very offended if you dont!.
Snacks are availible between 1030-1230 and 230-500. Whne they say snacks their more meals,ie burger and chips, full size pizzas, omlettes, sandwiches, wraps, you name it you can have it if your all inclusive.
Entertainment:
The two entertainers for the hotel are Leanne and Malky. I think they've only been there about a month but they work so hard! waterpolo, water bingo, french bowls, football, quizes and thats just during the day.
At night theres kareoke, bands singing, bingo again, kids stuff. Some of it wasnt my thing but they do try their best.
Overall id recommend this hotel to anyone, great staff, great food, what more can you ask for?

after being advised by the travel agent that this hotel had everything we were looking for spa facilities, hairdresser and double beds to say we were dissapointed was an understatement, we then found out on arrival that we were put in rooms over the bar so if you wanted an early night it was tough luck 2am was the earliest the bar went quite so if your brave enough to try this hotel then ask for the 4th floor when you book and yes we did ask to be moved but they said they were full, this hotel is in need of a total referb as the decoration is still in the 70s on the positive side Donna the rep was fantastic she never stopped and was there from 9.30am to 10pm, the pool was ok and some of the staff were ok.

This hotel does not warrant 2 stars let alone the 4 stars it had when we booked it.the communal toilets around the pool and bar area are both dangerous and dirty.the rooms are very small with barely enough room for two let alone a family as we were told they were suitable for.the manager could not care less about the welfare of the guests staying at the hotel, and the staff will pocket anything inadvertently left lying around.all in all this hotel is a nightmare.

Have to say, after reading reviews..what are you talking about?! Rooms cleaned regularly, even the railings on the balcony! The air-con was a godsend and worked a treat! Bar staff fab..worked liked dogs and nothing too much trouble. Ditto the resturant staff! The managers on the floor all the time, even on days off! Chris, the assistant manager, was always chatting and making sure we had everything we needed. Leanne and Malky, the entertainers, were brill. Not in your face, fun, NOT LOUD, and yes guys we ticked the excellent box!! The bar and the music ended at midnight, so no late night revellers...and the position of the hotel was 11/10 and still peaceful. Will definitely go back, maybe next year if I can afford it and I dont go back to the same place! Perfect position, fantastic staff, great reps. Try it you'll love it!! Thanks guys.. the Cornish say hi!!! -x-
