What a wonderful time we had at Ayios Elias. There is not one negative thing that we can think of, oh the fact that we had to fly home after 2 weeks I guess!! We booked a studio for 2 adults & 1 child but where given a 1 bedroom apartment, bonus. Staff where very attentive & always made a point of saying hello. Goodbye etc.
Food was yummy & there was plenty of it. They catered for all tastes, ages & nationalities. Breakfast was brill it really filled you up till lunch, waffles around the pool in the afternoon & different themed nights all contributed to a considerable weight gain over the fortnight. Santelino club was excellent our daughter cried when she had to come out of there on the last day, she made many friends & the staff in the club where so kind & friendly. Every day had a different theme with various activities, she made a clay pot one day & came home with a folder full of her art work on the last day.
Its a fair walk down hill to Protaras town itself but if it gets to much you can jump in a taxi , I would imagine in the heat of July/August it may be hard work but you'd work off those waffles! To be honest I could go on & on & on as it is a marvelous place, but you really should go & see for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed.

It was our first time to Cyprus and we don’t regret it!
On the date of our arrival, we were met by a polish porter outside the hotel, by the name of Conrad, who was very helpful and took our baggage and even throughout the holiday carried our shopping to our apartment etc. We arrived late night and we were welcomed by a very nice night receptionist, who was also very friendly. We were very impressed on arrival. We were booked HB and we found late dinner waiting for us!
We booked a two bedroom apartment, overlooking the pool. It was very spacious with a massive veranda, AC was perfect. Apartment was cleaned every day by very friendly maids.
The swimming pool was very big and always very clean with sunbeds and umbrellas. We never had problems with finding free sunbeds as we did with some other hotels. The staff in the pool bar were very friendly. You should try food there, it's absolutely delicious! Our children loved the waffles!
In the village they have a kids club where they look after the children all day leaving us to relax at the pool. And in the late evening there is a mini disco for them supervised by the superb Animation Team led by the really wonderful Max and Antonella who also did the evening entertainment every night. There was a different theme every night. We really enjoyed the Cyprus night with BBQ. Yummy...
And also hotel offers a free bus trips to a beach called fig tree bay, which is less than 5 mins away. And it's a very beautiful beach with clear blue sea.
In general, all the staff were very friendly and we definitely coming back next year!! I recommend it! Top marks!

Where do i start! We travelled as 2 families each with 2 children. Apartments very low standards to say the least. 1 Apt had no Air Con, infested with ants, shower broken, and dirty. 2nd infested with ants, no wardrobe, no flushing loo! for 5 days. We complained numerous times to our rep, who tried to help us.
On our 1st visit to the pool there was human excrement floating YES honestly. We resigned ourselves that our children would not use the pool, the staff refused to remove it and an English man had to (in a carrier bag he retrieved from the bins).
The Animal Farm was appalling also underfed animals, in overcrowded habitat, even the kids wanted to go and buy them food. Everyone we spoke to when there 14-20th August was moving as disgusted, All apartments had a mouldy damp smell even though the Temp was 90 plus every day.
We were moved after 6 days - thank god.

Well if you are booked to go here you are in for a treat! Just got back last week, first the apartment well best we have ever had, big, brill air con ,plenty of glasses etc nice cooker, shower gel and soap in bathroom ,tea towels in kitchen great.
We didn’t have to bring our cases up to room Conrad the polish porter took them for us little man looks like Harry potter but what a worker helpful polite excellent infact all staff very helpful nothing was any trouble for them.
Hotel restaurant: breakfast £3 cyp per adult £2.50 kids eat as much as you like everything there bacon, eggs, sausage, breads all hot and fresh cereals fruit. Dinner buffet was themed Greek night, Cyprus night, bbq night, etc. All very good and excellent grub yum!
Entertainment a bit duff but staff worked so hard especially Yuri max and also a lady cant member her name. Kids club really lovely two ladies worked very hard and where very good with kids.
Only downfall was hill! What a walk to town! Ok if it hadn’t been so hot but is a free bus service in day we got a taxi and was only £3 cyp but we had a car for a week so we where ok.
Some people might get annoyed with stray cats in restaurant but felt sorry for them as we are cat lovers especially little kittens most nights and breakfasts they where given a plate of meat off buffet from us and other guests but a lot of kids tormented them and where mean my kids took on roles of RSPCA members to help them!
Overall great holiday lovely hotel great people beautiful island good resort beach a bit small though especially in august!.

It was our first time in Cyprus, and what a great time we had. Nothing was too much trouble for the really friendly staff.
The apartments were really nice ,clean an tidy, with a very good maid service.
We had a large balcony with sea views, which was brilliant. The pool is a really good size, plenty of room for everyone to enjoy, there are plenty of sunbeds to have an also sunshades to keep you cool under all the glorious sun.
The whole place is like your local village, you can dine there every night if you wish, and they have a themed night all week. Plenty for the kids to do, there is a kids club where they look after the little ones all day if you want a bit of time for you and the loved one. There is a nice bar in the square if you fancy a drink, or there is a pool side bar which serves allsorts of drinks during the day, also snacks
There is a good supermarket on site which you can get your bits an bobs.
The best beach in the resort is FIG TREE BAY ,which is about a20 min walk, or you can make use of the courtesy bus which picks you up right outside main entrance, there is plenty of water sports to enjoy there or you can relax on the sandy beach.
The main town is about a 10 min walk (down hill, but a bugger coming back in early hours) there are plenty of bars and restaurants, too many to mention, but we used every night of out 2 weeks was RETURN OF THE KING which is one of the first ones you come across when you hit the town good food, entertainment and a warm welcome from YANI an his gang there are themed bar in the main town. Includes FOOLS AND HORSES CHEERS ,FRIENDS and even THE LOVE BOAT. Which are worth a visit.
For the fit ones try walking the 170 steps to the little church on the rock just by the apartments, once you get to the top you can see all of Protaras.
A fantastic holiday and we have booked up again for this summer, same place, cant wait

We stayed in a one bedroom ground floor apartment. It felt like a village cottage! A little rustic perhaps, and could have done with a lick of paint but that’s the only minus point. We had a living area, with two single sofa bed, dining table, open plan large kitchen with normal size fridge and 4 ring hob and oven (not that we used it at all!). There was a TV, with 2-3 English language channels. The room was air-conditioned. Main bedroom with 2 comfortable single beds, pushed together. Plenty of wardrobe space. We had our own separate air-conditioning. The bathroom was of a good size, with bath and pretty good shower. From the living room, there were French doors leading onto a terrace. Because the way the cottages are laid out, we were very secluded. No one could see onto our terrace from other apartments and we had a nice view of the gardens.
The main area of the complex, called the village square, was were all the action was. A restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner, all buffet style. The breakfast were brilliant. Help yourself to juices, tea, coffee, fruits, cereals, yoghurts, plus bacon, eggs (cooked to order), sausages etc etc. £6 for the 3 of us. Great value!
We ate in the hotel 3 - 4 times. Each night has a different theme - but the best is the Cypriot BBQ nights. They set up all the tables out in the square, and the food is cooked on giant grills. All you can eat for about £8. Good selection of wine - from about £4 a bottle. The bar has a full choice of drinks and great cocktails! Beer is about £2 a pint.
There was a resident team of the hotels own reps who organised entertainment in the day and evenings. They work very hard to keep the kids entertained. There was also the usual folk dancing.
The pool is brill - nice and big, large sun terraces and plenty of sun beds. Kiddies pool as well. There is a pool bar, which serves meals and snacks at lunchtimes. From burgers and pizzas to kebabs and squid.
The village is about a 15 minute gentle walk to the main town where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The main beach at Fig Tree Bay is about a 20 minute walk - but we took the car to save carrying loads of beach stuff.
The staff are all very friendly, and the restaurant manager works very hard - a nice tip is money well spent.
On site there is a good supermarket which sells everything, and at normal prices. From booze, newspapers, buckets and spades, bread, frozen food - the lot.
The kids club is brill! It opens at 9am and closes at 7pm - kids can basically spend all day there if they wanted! My 8 year old did on a few occasions! They cater for babies, and up to about 12 year olds. They organise trips as well. Get this - 11 months later, our son got a birthday card from them - handwritten by one of the staff with his photo in it.
Tip 1 - book room only - no need to go half board or B and B as its better value to eat there when the urge takes you.
Tip 2 - book independently. We booked the hotel with Medhotels, the car hire with Lastminute and the flights direct with British Airways. I found the same hotel in a high street brochure - and like for like, we saved £800 on the whole deal. And we went on a scheduled flight at sensible times, unlike some people we met who had a return charter flight at 3am!

We had a fantastic holiday in these apartments. It was our second visit to Cyprus and the apartments and staff really made the holiday special. The on site kids club was run by some really lovely staff and the children enjoyed the range of activities that were all provided free of charge.
The apartments and village were all kept clean with the apartment being cleaned every day.
The food was of very good quality and the entainment staff were very good.
We have booked to go again in 2004 to the same apartments.
