Angelos Apartments
This small, traditional style, simple complex is located in a quiet area surrounded by countryside. The Angelos is situated along a side road but only a six minute walk from the main road where tavernas, a mini market and bus stop can be found together with a small shingle beach. Due to a large number of steps, this property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.

We had a lovely time at Angelos Apartments they are cleaned on a regular basis, the pool is clean and the open eating area/bar is always clean.
Popi and Yannis are always in the bar area together with their son Angelos and always ready for a chat. Popi does a good breakfast and also cooks Moussaka fresh and every week they have a BBQ and Popi always makes a lovely cinnamon cake. The BBQ is always well attended and Popi goes out of her way to please as my daughter doesn't eat Pork she changed it for any other meat that she would eat.
The food is cheaper than in the local restaurants, but saying that, that is what a holiday is about discovering new places.
The Apartments are only a few minutes walk to the local beach area and about a 15 minute walk into Kos Town. You can also get a boat to Bodrum or go on many other boat trips from Kos Harbour.
We met and made friends with people that had ben going back for up to 10 years and this was also our second trip.
I would definately recommend these apartments as being value for money and a nice Island to visit.

I spent a week at the Angelos apartments mid sept 08. I have read some unkind remarks about the accomodation and owners. In defence of this, I went on my own and found Poppi and Yiannis to be friendly and helpful. It's like anything, if you are nice and polite to somebody you will get the same treatment back. If you go with a bad attitude, there will be a negative response. The accomodation itself needs updating because it is very basic and a bit tatty. Having said that, the rooms are cleaned five times a week, over and above the three times which Olympic holidays demand. The cooking facilities are a 2 ring hob but to be honest, how many people actually want to spend time cooking while they are on holiday? I know I don't. The shower worked, the bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean., and believe me, I am fussy about cleanliness. If you go there to spend time in your room then you would probably want a more luxurious surroundings, but most people don't, therefore, the basic accomodation is a small price to pay and fades in comparrison to the friendly and sociable atmosphere there. The pool was clean and had a few flies and stuff floating in it which can be scooped out easily with a fishing net. Big deal! The bar serves up some decent grub at very cheap prices, all home made and the weekly BBQ costs 10 euros and is 3 courses. There is no actual entertainment at the complex but there is a hotel just down the road which has nightly singers or karaoke. As for the comments I read that someone had money stolen, for a start, why didn't he get a safety deposit box as soon as he got there, and secondly, when I mentioned it there, other guests said that he was actually mistaken and mislaid some money but went and accused people instead. I actually think you could leave your flippin door open and your stuff would be ok there but of course I wouldn't do that. The maid is very nice and goes the extra mile.

just returned from a lovely holiday at angelos apartments . although the accomodation is basic, I found it clean and comfortable. The pool was cleaned daily, and yes an occasional bug found its way in, but this was a small price to pay for the beautiful country setting. The warmth and hospitality shown by Poppy and Janis (the owners) was reflected in the number of guests who returned year after year. I really enjoyed the weekly BBQ an oppertunity to mingle with other guests (optional) and sample some of Poppy,s home cooking. I found the three island boat trip a great day out 20euros including lunch good value for money. The shingle beach was a five minute walk where you can get two sun beds and an umberella for 5 euros for the day. Most evenings, husband and I walked into Kos Town for tea, this took about 25mins along the sea front, enjoyed the food at museum restaurant near the square. On return we sometimes called into Angelos bar/taverna for a nightcap and chat to other guests always felt welcome but never felt under any pressure to eat or drink there. All in all an excellent holiday and I look forward to returning next year.

We spent two brilliant weeks at Angelos Apts. with Annis,Poppi and Family who looked after us very well. On arrival we found that the bed lamps in our room did not work and then went to Jimmy's Mini Market which took about half hour and on returning we found that they had been put right About the third morning we had trouble with the fridge door which I reported to Poppi and on arriving back about four hours later from Kos Town we found that they had changed the fridge and all our food was in the new one.I call that good service.
Yes the apartments are basic but we knew this when booking and so would anyone else who took the time to see what they are booking and what price they are paying, we have visited eight Greek Islands and this a normal type of resort for the money paid.
Angelos is a small and freindly place to stay with a lovely swimming pool, there are thirty sunbeds with mattresses and fifteen sun brollies. The pool was clean and they run a 'Keep it tidy and clean' attitude with signs for the guests to read.
Cleaning of the rooms was spot on as far as we were concerned by the very good cleaner, she cleaned out the bins and washed the floor every day but Sunday and changed the bedding and towels every three days. Most days she would make our beds up and even fold up our night cloths if needed to.
Tuesday night was BBQ night and what a BBQ it was as well with the son Angelos doing the cooking over the coals and Poppi with the help of her daughter doing the Greek Salad, Tatziki, bread etc. The main course was followed up with large slices of home made cake. All this for ten euros, a bargain and all twenty four diners agreed.
Maybe Annis and Poppi seemed 'off' with some of the people who stayed there but did those people try to talk to them and draw them into conversation like most of our fellow holiday makers did and do they realise what hard work it is running a resort for foreign people of whom some can be very rude.
The Olympic rep. was at the resort when she should have been although maybe not as knowledgeable about the area and services as she should be but there is a folder on the pool bar counter with a lot of information about trips, bus times etc. etc. which the owners with the help of their freind Colin have put together.
Our flights with Olympic Holidays went without an hitch both landing at Kos and Gatwick bang on time.
We would now like to thank Yannis, Poppi, Angelos, Colin and all the other holiday makers who were there with us for making this one of our most happy and funny holidays ever. Thanks to all, Roy & Doreen

Me my husband and our family visited the Angelos appartments in Aug i can only speak as i find and that is that we had a lovely time and throughly enjoyed our stay, yes the rooms are basic but clean and cleaned regular and linen changed, the pool was also cleaned and if bugs landed in it there are nets to get them out this cannot be helped as you are surrounded by beautiful fruit trees which is a nice setting. Our family were made very welcome by Poppi, Yanni and there family nothing was to much trouble, we ate in the pool bar which was very nice food but we did not find that if we did'nt we were treated any different they always seemed very friendly and very nice people. kos is a lovely place we hired bikes for the two weeks we where there as it was so cheap they where handy to have. I would say be careful not to be over charged in some resturants and beach bars as we were a family of six i think they thought we would not notice especially lower bar bubble beach. Also had a day over to Turkey Bodrum i would not recommend this trip it was a nightmare from start to finish, you are told to arrive at the boat far to early then after sitting for what seems like forever you are then told to get off to walk round to passport control which is very disorganised and you queue for around any hour in the heat. We found the prices very high in Turkey and the people very rude and again they tried to over charge us on drinks we have been to Turkey on hol 3 times but never to Bodrum and never been treated like this, the market also very pricey. You even had to pay for the loo!!
We went on a fab boat trip call Katrina they really made it a fun day food and people lovely would recommend this and also water park a good day out at a reasonable price. Do not eat in the Best one in Kos town they advertise cheap price on board but not what it seems when pulled in and food not all that. Fab resturant is the crete one kos town just near steps as you go up to church (checked table cloths) lovely food.
I would recommend Kos and Angelos appartments i think you where lovely Poppi and Yanni.

if you want a miserable holiday and to be ignored and served by miserable owners yanni poppi and there son then angelos apts is the place for you.it is the most unfriendly place to stay in unless your a regular who likes to stay put and spend all your hard earnt money in the dirty little pool bar just drinkin and watching a small screen t.v.angelos apts is a run down complex in need of refurbishment.the rooms are small with one small cupboard for clothes with a very dirty toilet shower and sink.self catering facility is virtually none existent.we had to spend our last 13 hours of our holiday with our suitcases left out in the full sun as theve no were to put them safe.we had to get changed and clean ourselves in the pool bar toilet before leaving for the airport.yanni poppi and there son are so ignorant they never said cheerio when we left they just hoped no one asked why we was changing in the toilets at the pool bar as they couldnt be botherd to give use a room even tho we asked several times.avoid angelos apts.its only a 2 star but should be a minus 5 star

Chris from London.
Accomodation was basic ok.The owners were not friendly. Many other peolpe were feeling the same as us. If you weren't getting drunk all day long by the pool bar you were not in the in-crowd. Was not bothered as we did not go on holiday to make friends with the owners - it would be nice to make felt welcomed- a smile would be nice -never mind - apart from this it was a good holiday.
Got car from Autoway- friendly run business and there were plenty of boat trips to do.
go to Hipprocates tree.
Well done to El Paso and Galea food was good- Linitho good local taverna - fun chats with Dimitris and Elethria
Recommend Therma springs magic beach sunny beach. St Stefanos beach and Pyli ruins - and other castles- can't remeber names.
Holiday in Kos was lovely. You need to get a car for a few days to get the best from KOS. Kos Town is lovely especially the harbour and marina part. Well done to a couple of restuarants that made you feel welcome. Even though that I am from a greek background it was good still. Jimmys supermarket was reasonable. Its worth taking your own basic food bits. Watch out for the bikes and quad bikes as these can be annoying when driving and walking about.

Just returned from the Angelos apartments in Kos with my partner....and what a great holiday we had. Firstly after reading other reviews, I would like to defend Popi and Yannis. They made us feel really welcome from day 1 and we did not have a single problem, they certainly were not rude and unhelpful, in fact the complete opposite.
The rooms were basic....but clean, what more do you need? I certainly dont go on holiday to sit in a room all day. When you book, you are told it is a two star, self catering apartment and thats what we got....we were more than happy with the accomodation. It was cleaned every day except Sundays and we had fresh sheets and towels. The cleaners were friendly too.
Angelos is situated in a quiet area, surrounded by fruit trees. We were lucky enough to try some of Popi's fresh fruit which was lovely. We were only a few minutes away from the local beach, and we had supermarkets and tavernas almost on our doorstep. I would recommend hiring a bicycle as this is the best way to get around. The pool was cleaned every evening by either Popi or Angelos, and it certainly wasnt a horrible pool. A few bugs here and there, but you get that wherever you go. The food at the bar was lovely and a decent price, and so were the drinks. The BBQ was fantastic and great value for money. Popi is a fantastic cook!
We will definately be returning here in the near future. I would recommend Angelos apartments to anybody looking for a quiet holiday.

We enjoyed the Angelos so much we have booked to return july 08. Poppi, Yannis and family are all lovely people, they were considerate to us and made us feel very comfortable.
We used the on site taverna every day very reasonably priced food and drink, the Tues barbie is a must.
The location is very good located on a country lane yet just a few minutes to Kos town, the beach, supermarkets and resturants.
The studios are very clean and for the little time we spent in them comfortable, I agree kitchen equipment is basic but enough to get by. The pool area is very nice and well maintained we were not pestered by any creepy crawlies.
I would recomend these studios for anyone who wants to chill out and relax.

The Angelos apartments is VERY basic. The cooking facilities are non existent. During our stay we had money stolen, if you read further on another guest had the same problem!!!
The Owners Poppi and Yannis are friendly with whom they want to, and we were definitely not liked from the beginning. This was confirmed upon departure where Poppi gave every other guest leaving a hug, and completely ignored myself and my girlfriend. The other guests were extremely friendly, although it got a bit louder towards the end of our 2 weeks. On the day of departure we found out you HAVE to leave your bags in the bar area, for everyone to have access to and sit there for 14 hours in mid day heat.
The Olympic rep was useless, and was barely there. The holiday in Kos was excellent, the accommodation was disgraceful. I would advise anyone intending on going to stay well away of these so-called apartments, and due to this holiday I will never stay at a family run complex again, as the service was so poor.

Basic studios but had everything you need. Poppy and Yanni, the owners, were lovely and were very good cooks. We loved the bacon and their cheap prices.
Pool was fine and most of the time fairly quiet. BBQ night on a Tuesday at the resort was a good night, great food and a bargain at 10 euros.
Only a 5 minute walk to the sea, where you could get an umbrella and two sunbeds for 5 euros.
Kos Town was a nice 15 minute walk along the sea front.
All in all, we had a great holiday.

Me and my husband (both are 27y) holiday 25.8. - 9.9. 2007. Psalidi at Kos Island was definitely good value for good money.
The accommodation was clean and simple, only 5 minutes from the nearest beach. There were 3 supermarkets around and plenty of restaurants, so you can easily buy anything for food and drink. Prices in supermarkets were more expensive than in uk. So we spent quite lot of money for our food and drinks. But I must say that the food was delicious. The freshest feta cheese and olives I have ever eaten in my life!
The Kos town is approximately 20 minutes walk by the beach, it is a very nice walk, and when you are on holiday, you will enjoy it! I would recommend to buy a guide and visit all historical part of the town. It is nice one day trip. There are many cruises from Kos town, you can visit turkey or another islands.
The weather was excellent during whole stay. But on the last day it started being cold in the morning and evening (sweater or jacket and long trousers was helpful). You could feel the end of season not only on weather but there were less people on the street as well. I wouldn’t recommend to go on holiday later than was ours. The beach was fine, we paid 5euros for 2 sunbeds which was o.k.
The is not proper sandy beach on psalidi (only pebbles) which was fine for us, but it is not suitable for small children. Good ideas is to rent a car, I would recommend to do it at the same time as you book you holiday. We paid around 150 GBP. for a week for a small Hyundai car from hertz. Car for one week is enough.
We visited beautiful sandy beaches, our favourite was that one at Tingaki and mastichari, clear not very deep water, water sports, not very crowded. Very close is thermae, where you will find thermo spring in the sea with hot bubbles, something like natural jacuzzi. It is recommended to visit this sprint early morning around 7am or late afternoon, evening.
It is great and relaxing. Another trip with the car is Zia. It is a mountain where people go to watch the sunset. It’s very nice place to stay, it has many restaurants where you can eat or just have some drinks like ice coffee... There is swimming pool close to the apartments so it is nice to go for a night swimming, because the water is warm from the sun.
There is possibility to rent a safe box for only 15euros for 2weeks. The last thing I would suggest is the bar nostos by the beach, good music and best drinks! During the day we occupied their beach...

I stayed at Angelos apartments for a week during the 2nd week of August by myself.
On arrival it looks a bit daunting and in the middle of nowhere but I can assure you it isn’t! The apartments are surrounded by fruit trees where the owners grow everything they need from lemons to grapes and pomegranates.
I found the rooms basic but very clean and just what you need. There are only 2 cooking rings to cook on but if you have any imagination then these can be used to cook almost anything. The room sizes vary as some people did complain that their rooms were small while others had full apartments with lounges, but for the price you pay, I think it is definitely worth it. The cleaner cleans your room every morning without fail and changes the bed sheets and provides new towels. She is really nice and always says morning.
The owners Yianni and Poppi are really nice too; their son Angelos sometimes helps out. The food is really nice especially their BBQ every Tuesday night which is only 10 Euros per person. You get a full starter normally a Greek salad and tsaziki, a main meal which is pork chops, burgers, rice, chips and veg. Then you get watermelon for desert. The only things you have to pay for are drinks which are still a bargain at 3 Euros for a cocktail. They also do a full English breakfast for only 4Euros!
The location is as it says. There is a beach just 5 minutes away and a short walk into town. At the end of the road from the apartments there is a hotel, there is a gap in a wall at the back of the hotel where you can walk through and it will take you out at the main road where you can see the beach. There are also 2 supermarkets only 10 minutes walk away and very good prices.
The pool is nice and big, there is also a small children’s pool. Both are cleaned every night. People have mentioned bugs in the pool but that happens everywhere you go. There is a net to fish them out if necessary.
There is also a TV in the bar area. The entertainment is dependant upon when people leave the bar. The bar only closes when people have all left and it is empty so if you want a late night at the bar then it’s up to when you leave.
On the night before my flight, Poppi gave us some grapes she picked and left the lights on for us while we waited for the coach which wasn’t till 2am. They are really nice people. They don’t mind you buying your own goods from the local supermarkets at all and try to help you with whatever you need to make your holiday a good one.
Overall I really enjoyed this holiday and would definitely recommend staying at Angelos apartments.

Stayed at Angelos 27-09 for one week. Booked last minute through Global Late Deals over the net.
The accommodation is basic but I found it to be very clean and absolutely fine for the money we paid. If you were to go self catering in terms of cooking in the apartment, you would be limited here as there is just a small two ring hob. Fridge was large though.
The pool area was fine, a bit disappointed that there were no mattresses on the sun beds but down the road for 4 euros you can hire two sun beds and laze about on the beach. All the food served at Angelos was lovely, all homemade and I would recommend the BBQ that is held on Tuesdays, great food!
Psalidi seems to be slightly quieter than say Kardamena, plenty of bars but not so lively or aimed towards the younger end, from what we saw, although it was the end of the season. For a relaxing hol, gorgeous weather and friendly people this is a great place to go. Perfect end of the year holiday.
One complaint I have is with Olympic holidays. Our return flight was cancelled due to a fault with the plane, fair enough, but not one announcement was made to everyone to confirm what was happening - people were left to find a rep and then pass the information on, so you can imagine the chinese whispers that followed on.
In their favour, Olympic did put us into a hotel quickly, but the next day, the communication was no better - a scrap piece of paper left on the reception desk saying when we would be picked up, no announcement from the rep so that everyone knew where they stood, it was all word of mouth! Back to the airport and more delays and again... no announcements and one of the reps actually had the cheek to say that '' of course as soon as we know anything we'll make an announcement'' like we were all idiots and being unreasonable - again, no announcement followed updating us, it was only when the flight was finally ready that we were told to make our way.
I found them to be very unprofessional and would be reluctant to travel with them again, simply because at the first sign of trouble they couldn't handle themselves enough to address everyone and let them know what they knew - if that was nothing, and then fine, but at least they had the decency to step forward and speak to us. Rant over....

I booked this holiday 6 days before departure for my boyfriend Christopher and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the hospitable area of Psaldi which was in touching distance of the razzmatazz lifestyle of Kos Town, whilst by the same token being in cycling distance of adequate pebbly/sandy beaches in Lambi.
The apartments at Angelos were a little basic, and the toilet left a lot to be desired as it didn't flush very well at all, and you do have to buy your own toilet roll. The pool area is pleasant but you may wish to fish some creepy crawlies out of the water before swimming.
The owners Poppi and Yanni are pleasant considering the long hours they work and Poppi is a very good cook. As for restaurants we would recommend Spitaki on the main street leading towards Kos town, El Psaso was also good but watch out as your dinner may be set on fire!
All in all these apartments provided a comfortable base, adequate for the bargain price we paid.
