I have given my rating 2, this is down to the beautiful views we had from our apartment.
We were the only people there they were not AI.
The apartment was meant to be self catering, well we had no cooking equipment, we had to purchase our own frying pan. We could have paid 32 euro per day for the AI, this is why there were no cooking facilities in the hope we would purchase the AI deal when we arrive!
The shower was not hung up on the wall, the toilet was dirty we brought our own cleaning products to clean the bathroom! The mattresses were not clean! Some of my bed sheets had stains.
The staffs were rude and obnoxious, and seemed very angry, we went to the pool one evening and I was appalled, they were playing games; see how many shoes you can collect from other guest! The average age of the guests was 30 years not 12 year olds!
We had a look at the food on our first night to see if it was worth paying 32 Euros a day, it looked cold, the salad looked awful, I saw a few tomatoes that had black mould on them! Scary! The restaurant looked like a hospital, there was no atmosphere it was not a dining experience.
Outside the hotel there is nothing to do, you cannot walk 2km to the nearest bars/restaurants as there is no footpaths, you would need to get a taxi to Gastouri/Benitses.
The beach to the resort is quite small and dirty, and the other restaurant looked barren, we asked if we could eat in the restaurant, but we would have to pay 25 Euros per person, very expensive.
They need to spend some money fixing there problems before they can call this a resort.
If you have booked this accommodation already and you are not AI, go out during the day have a big lunch out, then get a cooked chicken from the local supermarket for your evening snack, buy your own wine and a cork screw (they will not give you one)and hire a car!
If you are AI, see if you can change your resort if not prepare for the worst, you will have low expectations! And hire a car!

just returned from holiday at this hotel. Food same all the time. entertainment how does bingo grab u everynight?
miles away from all the attractions. Hotel staff miserable. bar staff very arrogant and rude.room satisfactory ie basic. The beach near the hotel should be called rocky beach cause that is all there was there and a few sun beds which have seen better days.Hotel was clean and the cleaners there was very polite and friendly
and thats about it. CYPRUS was absolutely gorgeous we will go again but not at this hotel.
- Advice: if you are over 60 its ideal for the bingo apart from the travelling miles on the bus

after looking at some of the comments of this hotel i thought god this has gone down hill since i was last here, just got back from a two week break at this hotel and i must say we had a great time, rooms are ok i only want to sleep in it not live in it,, maids are very cheerful and keep our messy rooms in a clean codition, food is good '' what do some people eat at home to complain about this food'' staff are very hard working and clean away your old plates away nice and quick so you can move on to your next serving, pool is nice and big, no kids arount it,, there is a bar just across the road to break things up at night if you want, and to check up on the footie results, this hotel is off the beaten track but thats you want sometimes just to get out of it, but its only in touching distance of protaras and ayia napa if you dont mind a bus ride, i think some people are that used to going from A 2 B in a car at home the bus is a no go, and yep if you get a taxi back its 10 and 20 euro from ayia napa or 1 eruo if you get the bus, if you have booked this hotel and just want a relaxing holiday im sure you will enjoy it, but for some who try and get the cheepest holiday they can find and just want to pick and poke at everything go to the four seasons and find some finger print on a glass to complain about,, we were a group of ten not one complained, thanks.

just got back from 2 weeks spent at the kouzalis beach hotel this is the third time we have stayed at this hotel we had a fantastic time yet again, the food is very good with plenty to choose from, the staff are so freindly and very hard working with a very good entertainment programme, although the hotel is situated away from the town of protaras it is very easy to get to with a regular bus service just outside the hotel. This hotel is ideal if you are wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday with no kids by the sea, the local bar which is just situated across the road has sky sports if you need it.The hotel has its own beach which is surounded by a small cove although the entrance to the sea is very rocky its worth the walk, i have seen some reports on this website that have knocked this hotel along with its food i have no idea where these people are coming from the food is of excellant quality and with such a choice. If you have booked this hotel you will most definatly enjoy it.
- Advice: this hotel is for adults to just go and relax

the room we were given was overlooking a block of flats - looking right into the accommodation of the people living there. The reception weren't very helpful in changing the room we had to wait until the next day at 2pm we eventually managed to change rooms to a better room but not great. We were not the only people given these horrible rooms and wanting to change. People smoking on the balconies which wafted into your room. If you are a non smoker its disgusting that you can't even sit out. The same when you have a pre dinner drink on the terrace - cancer sticks EVERYWHERE. Most un pleasant. The grounds are tatty and are in need of maintenance. The food was nothing to get excited about - but the amount people put on their plates was obscene. Definately not a 4 star hotel- 2 star if you are lucky. The worst holiday we have ever had, from the flight to the departure. Couldn't wait to get home.

My husband and I wanted a holiday all inclusive where it was nice and hot
and somewhere just on the outskirts of the towns, where we could relax and not have a lot of noise and that is exactly what we got.
The staff where always helpful and the rooms where cleaned every day. The food was hot every night and a varied selection on foods based on themed nights. The entertainment was good which included bingo every night before the stage act or show. They had a drag act which was hilarious, a blues night and a fire act where they juggled fire with a belly dancer. All in all they were very good. There was plenty of sun loungers and they had games in the pool and other activities through the day.
Protaras was a bus ride away which was 2 euros each and you could get on the bus as many times as you want. The buses were a bit over crowded at times but it was worth it. They ran every half hour and the taxi fare was 10 to 12 euros to get back as we left late and the buses had stopped running.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and we have booked a holiday for 2012 and we can not wait 10 / 10
Well Done :-)
