we have just returned from this hotel after a 14day all inclusive holiday, the staff and the food were excellent, the rooms clean and fresh linen every day no problem with cleanliness, but we were on the 1st floor over the service entrance the noise was a big problem as the dustmen came at 5 a.m everyday , also there are lots of building works going on we should have asked to be moved but we thought we would get used to it but we did'nt, so our fault that did not asked to be given a different location within the hotel, never mind. we will not retuned to the hotel only because of the location, nowhere really to walk to, you the bus or a taxi everytime you want to go anywhere.

I have been to the Kouzalis before in 2004. It was perfect then. My parents have been twice a year since and have never had a single complaint about the hotel.
Yes, the hotel is about a mile (if that) from the main strip of Protaras, which is an addition to this wonderful adults only hotel. Many things are guaranteed with the Kouzalis Beach Hotel: the most friendly of staff, the highest levels of cleanliness of any hotel (I work in one!), excellent facilities and always the very best levels of customer service.
As I have said, if you don't hire a car or scooter or motorbike, you can use the regular bus service in to Protaras. IF you are going for more than one week, my recommendation is to hire a car and explore Cyprus at your own pace. An excellent car hire company can be found very close by towards Paralimni. If you need details please feel free to contact me on bigmanmedia1@aol.com.
I can't understand where people have read bad comments about the hotel. I only ever come across positive comments.
Roll on May when I go back once again, and hopefully again next year. Lovely, lovely lovely place. Try it yourself!

We came away for a 7 day break just wanting anything to take our minds off work and the shocking so called 'summer' in rainy England! We knew the hotel was adults only and was so so pleased!
Going all inclusive meant that we didn't really venture out of the hotel grounds as we could relax in the pool drinking cocktails all day if we liked! Myself and my fiancé are 25 and 26 so we did want a bit of entertainment and the staff did not disappoint. There were plenty of activities to get involved in and yes the staff and activities were loud but they were not pushy - they just want people to enjoy themselves. We have never even dreamt of participating before but by doing them we met some really lovely couples and had a great time!
The rooms I agree are spotless. I have never entered a hotel room at the beginning of my stay even in this country to look into the bathroom and see signs on the toilet etc to say sanitised and it smelt so clean! Every day they were cleaned and not once did we have any problems.
I am a very picky person when it comes to food and as we were all inclusive I knew I would at least find something I liked. Every night was different and it was on a timetable so when it came to Chinese night we went out to Protaras for dinner instead! I was able to eat at every meal time.
The evening entertainment was a bit repetitive but it was made different by the staff and knowing how hard they work - they remained smiley and lively right through the night.
The hotel is situated quite far out of Protaras but close enough to get a cheap taxi. I would recommend getting the bus to Aiya Napa and the Waterpark - a great day out but wear lots of sun-cream and ladies - best not to wear tankinis or bikinis!! (unless you want to flash to the world!!).
As mentioned in a few comments below, the garden does lead to a rocky entrance to the sea rather than a beach but the snorkelling is amazing.
We absolutely loved our time here and we both agree that out of all of the holidays we have had this hotel is the only one we would come back to! If you have booked this hotel you will have a wonderful time - personally 7 days is not enough!!

My wife and I have just come back from 10 days half board. We had read some bad reviews but the majority were very good, and being adults only ( which was a major selling point ) we took the plunge.
The hotel - we cannot fault it at all. Clean, big rooms with linen and towels changed daily, very helpful staff, and a beautiful swimming pool that is lit up at night. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from - even the ones in the gardens away from the poolside are less than a minutes’ walk from the pool. Pool bar is open from 10am to 6pm daily.
Food & Drink - being half board we had breakfast and dinner and the food could not be faulted. Yes breakfast can get a little bit repetitive but there were so many options. My wife is a big fan of croissants, fruit, yoghurts etc. whereas I tend to go for hot food, bacon, eggs, etc. and we were not disappointed.
I read a review where a guy moaned about having ' hot-dog' sausages for breakfast - yes they were there but we also had more traditional pork sausages on offer as well. Don't come to Cyprus expecting to get Walls bangers.
The dinner options were excellent - plenty of choice and always replaced quickly when empty and always hot. We don't think we had the same dinner twice. Fresh fish, fresh meat carved right in front of you - superb.
Being half board we had to pay for drinks which, being a 4 star hotel, were slightly on the expensive side, plus even the all inc guests had to pay for bottled water which we thought was a bit off, but apart from that there wasn't any problems with purchasing or drinking them.
Location - we knew the location was on the quiet side and out of the way but that was exactly what we were after. Protaras town was a 5 minute bus ride ( cost 80 cents each ) and Ayia Napa was a 25 min ride for the same cost. We got taxis back from Protaras town after the buses had stopped and it was never more than £5 Cypriot - we even jokingly haggled with one friendly driver and got it for £2!
Right outside there is a supermarket which is open late and a great bar called The Lost Border which we frequented quite often. They do snacks all day and what with Sky Sports, a pool table and a dartboard it was a great place to hang out if you wanted a break from the hotel bar.
All in all I would strongly recommend this place for a quiet couples holiday.

The hotel was very clean. The staff friendly and well worth a visit if you want a nice quiet holiday without children around. We had clean towels and bedding each day. The room was spotless.
There is an internet connection within the hotel and a computer you can use for just 50c for 10 mins. ample time to send an email.
Staff where very helpful in anything you asked about, whether it be the area or just a friendly chat.
There is a small cove next to the hotel where you can swim from. I watched people swimming there from around 8am till gone dusk.
You can sit on your balcony or on the terrace and watch the sunset.

Just returned from a week at the Kousalis. The hotel is very clean throughout. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We only ate one meal in the evening and after that could not wait to get out and try some real food. The evening buffet was poor. Tasteless, relying on quantity and not quality. It was expensive compared with outside prices.
Breakfast was very bland and watered down, insipid scrambled eggs, greasy bacon, rubbery eggs and sausages. The toasters were slow and bread had to be put through 2 or 3 times. Orange juice had been so diluted that it tasted like watery squash. Very nice coffee.
The spirits in the bar had been watered down and again were expensive. The hotel does not represent value for other than all inclusive guests.
The gardens do not run down to the beach but rather the rocky coast. The adjoining bay is shingle and a pleasure to swim in.
Evening entertainment was poor, with a lack of variety.
There are plentiful sun loungers, but many are broken and they are uncomfortable. The poolside entertainment is loud and very intrusive.
I would recommend the Onassis Restaurant just over the road for delicious cheap meals and the fish restaurant next door for lunch.

I’m writing again after our third visit to Kouzalis beach hotel, and yes it was just as good.
We went for ten days all inclusive, as my previous reviews it still remains the best holiday and hotel that we want.
There were some changes to the restaurant but only for the better and there was more vegetarian choice the food was fantastic. We meet some lovely people again as every guest just sits around in the pool talking.
Our only problem was that we had to pay extra baggage at the airport for all the extra weight we had put on.!!
Fantastic will be back next year.

I went to the Kouzalis Beach Hotel for 7 nights on 31st August, the hotel itself was very clean, we had our towels, and Bed Linen changed almost every day.
The food was well presented and there was a good variety to choose from, I liked every single meal I had which was quite a few as we went All Inclusive.
The Bar/Waiter service was to a very high standard and all the staff were polite and helpful.
I thought the Pool was very nice and there were plenty of sunloungers, although most of them were on the Grass area. There was a small beach near the hotel which was lovely and clean and had crystal clear waters, but as it is manmade there is no sand just shingle.
We went to Protaras a few times on the evenings and it is very Lively, with Karaoke in every Bar and various acts such as Abba, Elvis and Cher, there are also lots of shops which are open until late.
We went into Ayia Napa one night and it was fantastic, the drinks are buy 1 get 1 free in most bars and you get free shots in every bar, there are lots of bars to chose from which play mostly RnB/Hip Hop and Dance music.
We went to Nissi Beach one day and it wasn’t as nice as I imagined, it was quite dirty with lots of rubbish in the Sea and lots of seaweed, so on the last day we went to Fig Tree Bay in Protaras and it was Beautiful, the best beach I have ever been to, the water was crystal clear and the sand was pure white, there was not even a rock in the sea it was like the Caribbean.
We never went to the Entertainment in the hotel as seemed to be aimed at the older Guests, who said that there was Bingo every night and the acts such as Abba, Freddy Mercury, and Cher were not very Good.
My Boyfriend did visit the Gym but he didn’t think it was well equipped.
Overall we had a Fab time, if the Hotel was closer to Protaras centre it would have been perfect, as we were in the Middle of nowhere.

My husband and I read the reviews on this hotel, and we were wary but decided to go along with the majority reviews which were good. I had only been to Cyprus once before and that was the Larnaca area, so this was new to me.
I was pleased to find that the hotel was all that I had hoped for. It was adults only as stated which doesn't always happen elsewhere, we have been to other places where it should have been adult only but other tour operators have allowed children to be there.
The food was superb a great choice for everyone and of excellent quality, congratulations to the chefs. The drinks were of a good quality too! The cocktail list is endless.
The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very good, and exactly as the brochure picture shows, our towels, and bedding were changed every day, and pool towels were indeed provided.
The pool area and swim bar is exactly as shown also. There are ample sunbeds and parasols for everyone, the gardens are lovely leading to the beach. The beach directly from the hotel although beautiful it is rocky and not accessible without swim shoes, having said that, the same beach a few yards further is a wonderful little bay, with a 'lagoon' type feel to it, not a ripple and the water is crystal clear, even though it is a bit stony, it is not the type to cut your feet to ribbons!
An airbed is not necessary as the water keeps you floating! Then again having said that- most guests had airbeds etc to play!! Oh and by the way- everyone snorkels!
The entertainment is as someone else already previewed, not big Showtime, but very good nonetheless, Janka and Memo do a great job and keep everyone amused. The karaoke was excellent and good fun. The ages range of the residents from the 18 yrs upwards, and all mix very well. There are lots of things to do around the hotel, depending on how active you wish to be.
We went to have a 'chill out' time holiday, but never got to bed before 1.30am!
We loved it so much, we think it is the best holiday ever and will go again next year. The quality s there in every way, roll on next summer!
ps. no need for adapters, our English plugs work-same voltage same 3 pin plug.

We have just come back from a 2 week, all inclusive holiday at the Kouzalis Beach Hotel and got to say we loved there. It was away from the hustle and bustle. Protaras centre was a 5 minute bus ride and we only went there once for the shops, and once to Aiya Napa. The hotel had everything we needed, food, drink and entertainment.
The entertainment was good enough, some might say it was poor but we enjoyed it, 1 guy and 2 girls, they did their best considering English was their second language, they spoke better English than our Greek. Also, the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The food was great, loads of choice including vegetarian. We were a little concerned after reading previous reviews, but from my point of view those guests who moaned about the quality of food must live a life of luxury at home and have a gourmet chef on tap.
As for the daytime, there were always sun beds available. The entertainment team had various activities around the pool for an hour or so, but not overdoing it, just enough to break up the day if you wanted a changed from doing nothing.
The one thing we weren't happy with was our rep, we didn't know when she was in or out and had to take a chance of spotting her.
All in all, we would definitely go back.

My wife and I have just returned from a week of pure bliss at this hotel, the staff are excellent the food is great, we had a wonderful time.
If you want wild parties and loud music this is definitely not the place to go to. The hotel is relaxed and quite perfect for a chilled out holiday.
If you decide you want parties Ayia Napa is only a 10 minute bus ride away. The rooms are clean, maid serviced every day.
If you are considering a holiday at The Kouzalis Beach Hotel read the brochure as the write up is pretty accurate, the beach is small but the pool more than makes up for it!
The best way to sum up The Kouzalis Beach Hotel is we will be going back next year not for a week though but two!!!

if you want a quiet, no fuss holiday this is the place to be, settings are stunning sea all round, pool is wonderful warm and peaceful, loads of sunloungers and parasols and tables. service is faultless, and cleanliness is amazing, clean rooms everyday.
the food is great, not too spicy or fussy and hot bread yummy every meal. no queues at any bars and a decent cup of tea or coffee. we had the superior room, lovely views, and all you could need in the room, including fresh water, tea an coffee, and a filled fridge ( which costs). ala carte not worth mentioning and you do get charged even if all inclu. resort is a bus ride from protaras, loads of shopping, taxis expensive, and only average price to eat out, but no bartering and no touts.
loads of trips, and sights to see, but best for a romantic, quiet lay back and chill holiday.
only fault the entertainment is pretty dior, so don't forget a pack of cards. not many insects the odd mossi, and no noise, two bars in wlking distance and two supermarkets, everything else a bus ride away. toilets all paper in bin, not to be flushed makes public toilets smelly.
we had a lovely rest and a great tan so happy would recommend.
