This is the 3rd time we have went to this hotel and we would definitely go back.
The rooms are clean and the bath and shower are clean. The rooms are cleaned every day and also the balcony’s.
The pool area is very clean no leafs in the pool or round the edge. There are plenty of sunbeds and there is also pool games in the high season. Next to the pool there is a pool bar that serves food.
The restaurant serves good food but if you want a children’s menu you have to go early. There are different types of food every night such as: Greek night ,med night ,international night, carvery night sorry cant remember the rest. There is always soup for starters and cake, jelly and cheese and crackers for afters
There is also an indoor pool, gym, kids club ,sauna and Jacuzzis. I also think there is a steam room but I’m not so sure.
All in all the hotel is great for families couples and OAP's
I would recommend this holiday to everyone and urge that you go.

Third time to this hotel, felt cheated!! Although the hotel had undergone major refurb and the position is quite good, the food on the half board basis was not of the quality we came to expect on previous visits.
Was also surprised by the housekeeping, our sheets were changed only once by our maids and we actually resorted to "liberating" our own clean bed linen in the evening from the unlocked maids stores!!! We certainly won’t be going back again...As an after thought the flight over and on return with EXCEL was just as big a disappointment.

Just arrived back from the Tsokkos Gardens and found it to be on a par with other 4* hotels.
We stayed in the hotel and not in the apartments either side. All three shared facilities. This didn’t cause any problems with people we met who did stay in the apartments.
Pool area large and no need to rush for the beds plenty of them.
Staff very friendly and courteous.
Quite expensive if not all inclusive but bars around the area plentiful and cheaper.
Entertainments in the evening quite varied but limited, but animators very friendly and do their best to involve everyone...fantastic with the kids.
Restaurant food very good but not much selection for kids unless you go between 6.30pm and 7.30pm where you can ask for a kid’s meal. Staff very polite and very very helpful. I think this would be better extended to 8.00pm...there is also a trouser rule for evening meal...shorts not allowed although 3/4 length ok ..jeans allowed.
Drinks were very good not watered like other A/I although this hotel / apartments are not all all inclusive so the A/I customer gets the same as the paying customer.
Rooms cleaned every day with bed linen every three days.
Pool area is fantastic, clean and as said loads of beds and if you want it quieter there are two pools at the two apartment site approx 20 metres away from main pool area.
Kids club and daily activities are excellent, with a fun theme.
Thoroughly relaxing or active you chose what you want.
Safe deposit £c 12.50 for two weeks and if not A/I in the hotel you pay for air conditioning per day £c 2.00 that means even if A/I in apartments you still pay.
Overall been to Cyprus over 8 times and found this hotel to be of a good standard with friendly helpful staff. Snacks from the pool bar very good with excellent poolside service.

I have been visiting Protaras for many years but this was our first stay at Tsokkos Gardens Hotel.
We booked in for 5 nights and arrived in the hotel at 6.30am but were not on the list for a room (or at least a mistake had been made and instead of the booking being in Mrs Gill Butcher, was in Gill which the receptionist did not recognise - as did we not) but because we have the children with us, was offered a temporary room until it could be sorted out. It was explained that we were not supposed to be let into the room until 2pm but it would be OK. We received a call some two hours later to say that our room was ready, what we didn’t know is that this was going into the room before 2pm would count as the first day of our holiday. Consequently, the day before we were due home we were informed that we had to be out of our room by 10am the following morning on the 12th - we were not flying until 4.40am on the 13th. We had to pay another £C20 to keep our room until 10pm on 12th. Our first day in the hotel was counted from 2pm 7th April 2004 although we never left Heathrow until 10.45pm on the 7th!
I took up my complaint with reception and was referred to the front of house manager and after waiting at reception for 45 minutes was confronted by the manager who was quite unprofessional and actually shouted at me in front of other visitors, in fact two visitors stopped me in the hotel after, and said that she should not have reacted so badly. The mistake was made by my travel advisor who should have checked the dates correctly, by myself for not checking on both the invoice and the HOLIDAY VOUCHER and by the hotel because the room was not ready from the 7th April in my correct name (even if had been there) and consequently the only person to suffer was me who had to pay an additional amount on top of a already extremely overpriced holiday for the 4 of us. After the conversation we were allowed to stay in the room until our taxi came to pick us up at 2am but could not be given a refund of the £C20 purely because "we had already paid!!"
HOWEVER,
On the whole the hotel was not bad, but by no means a 4*. The breakfast although adequate did not have much of a selection in comparison to other 4* hotels we have stayed in and indeed some of the 3*. Promptly at 10am the machines are emptied and if you wanted a glass a water to have with breakfast, if you were not all-inclusive had to pay 95 cents, which I thought, was a little bit cheeky. Our room was also running alive with ants and after asking the maid to spray the room on two occasions found that they were still rife. We bought some ant deterrents ourselves to no avail. We also had a COCKCROCH running about in our bathroom. The beds are extremely hard and I woke up feeling that I had just fought ten rounds with Muhamed Ali in his prime! Although they are tea/Coffee making facilities in the room nothing is supplied apart from a Kettle and cups!
The dinner of a night was OK and tasted fine but again very limited so we eat out two nights out of the four there, one night was Boiled Bacon or Lamb from the carvery with Roast Potatoes, Brussels and Sweet corn. Pudding was Chocolate Cake or Jelly and Ice Cream. the drinks were quite nice although again a bit pricey if you are not all inclusive.
The indoor heated pool wasn't
Apart from that..................... The Waikiki Bar at the end of the road was comfortable and the staff great with the children!

My brother, my two sons and I stayed in the Tsokkos Gardens Hotel for two weeks. I found the hotel to be very modern and the rooms were very clean. The maids cleaned the room every day and provided us with clean towels, the bedding was changed every third day. Although, the children's beds in the room were very uncomfortable.
The meals were really good and there was a wide choice of meals, although every night the children's meals were either fishcakes, chips and beans or chicken nuggets, chips and beans! The waiters were very friendly and helpful.
Every day around the poolside there was always plenty of entertainment for both children and adults and at night there was always entertainment too.
Protaras is only a short walk away and the beach there is lovely and there are plenty of water sports or boat trips available at a good price. Protaras is good at night also, there is plenty of family orientated pubs there where children are welcome.
The only downside I found to the Tsokkos Gardens Hotel was the reception staff. I found them to be quite unfriendly and not very inviting at all. Every time I approached them I don't think I ever got a smile. But luckily I rarely needed to speak to them so that was a bonus.
I would recommend this hotel and I would return in the future!
